Thai basil is DABOMBDOTCOM. Talk about treating your taste buds. I’ve been a number of times, and have yet to find something to complain about. The roti is a must buy. Flaky and crispy, it resembles the encasing of a pot pie, and is accompanied by a mouth-watering peanut based sauce. Our table had to put in another couple orders last night so everyone could have 2nds(or in my case, 5ths). The vegetable dumplings were also worth ordering. For entrees, I generally stick to the pad Thai and drunken noodles. They give a pretty good portion and cook it as good as I’ve ever had it. Tried the mock duck and was pleasantly surprised. This place is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Tip: order to go via grubhub and Get it delivered in the greater area.

Great food! Their Pad Thai is the best in town! Perfect for a date night. And remember it’s byob!

My wife and I went for a leisurely Saturday lunch. Collingswood is a very scenic, charming and dry town. BYOB restaurants abound! The décor is nice with many Thai artifacts and pictures. The ambiance is quiet with some light music for background. We both ordered lemon grass soup. Mine with shrimp hers with tofu. The shrimp was tail on and not over done. The tofu was flavorful and both dishes had some spice. We had crab dumplings which were perfectly cooked and had a soy based sauce for dipping. Spring rolls weren’t too greasy and the vegetables were fresh inside. I’m not a big fan of spring rolls. They were OK. I had the«Wild Side» a stir fry with alligator meat. It’s rated at three peppers, the spiciest rating. My other half had a vegetable stir fry. The gator was cut into tiny bits and a bit tough but very flavorful. The veggies were very fresh. The gator wasn’t really all that spicy. All in all a pretty decent meal. Throw in the fact that you can bring your own beer or wine and this is a winning restaurant!

Took my boyfriend’s parents out to dinner and absolutely loved Thai Basil. My boyfriend’s mother needs gluten free food and they were very accommodating. The only reason the restaurant gets four stars is because the food took a little long to come out. Would go again– Very good Thai Basil.

As good as Thai food gets. Period. Located in a cute downtown of Collingswood. It is BYOB if you are interested. The food there is great. Get the Tom Yum soup if you want an appetizer! This place is also great for vegetarians as are most Thai places. They are very accommodating about what you want in your food and your needs! The ambiance here is great, dimly lit and the tables are all far away from each other that it feels private. On weekends if you have a 4 or more people try to make a reservation or you might have to wait a good amount of time! But I can’t ever get enough of this place! A must try!

I go here every time I’m in town. The appetizer that is shrimp wrapped in noodles is awesome, and my boyfriend loved the Tom yum soup. They recently changed their menu so its really clear what is and is not vegetarian. They also have mock duck/chicken in addition to regular tofu, which is awesome for vegetarians. Singapore noodles with mock duck was awesome.

Great coconut soup, but not the best I’ve had. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitresses. Expect a long wait on a weekend evening!

I used to love this place. I even had them cater a party for me a few years back. Since then, they’ve become inconsistent. One night my Mom ordered a spicy dish and it came out as described; the next time my dad got the same thing and she tried it and both felt that it was not only completely different, but inedible in terms of being intensely hot. The most recent time I went my appetizer, which I had ordered numerous times previously, was completely bland. So was my «spicy» curry which I sent back. It came back a second time as a bland bowl of noodles and tofu with a few red pepper flakes. Always sad to see a formerly great restaurant go down hill. My last time was my last. I’ve had Thai food all over Philly, south Jersey, and NYC — this was hands down the worst Thai I’ve ever had.

Came here for lunch with a friend last week. I was really excited because their dinner is amazing, but I was slightly disappointed about their lunch. The space inside is beautiful and the service was good. I was annoyed that for the lunch special I couldn’t get drunken noodles without the beef(either sub shrimp or get veggie because I wasn’t eating meat that day). I understand not making subs because it’s a prix fixe lunch menu but I didn’t think making a beef noodle dish into a veggie one would be a problem. I ended up getting thom yum soup(spicy and delish) a green salad and red curry with veggies and tofu. Not the best thai food I have ever had but for $ 8.95 it was a filling lunch and a good experience!

— Attentive and courteous staff who would spend a lot of time informing you about the food and ingredients. Took good care of vegetarian friends very well — genuinely good Thai food with a good variety to choose from — nice ambiance — situated in a nice little market. One can easily park on the street without spending too much time finding a spot

Pad Thai — Good Portion, but bland. No heat whatsoever. Spring Rolls — Too small and usually overcooked. Veggie Dumplings — Super greasy to the point they were inedible. The only veggie was green onion or scallions. Yuk. This was my second time eating there and my last. p. s. Delivery thru GrubHub is $ 3 + 2.99% of the total order. Way too expensive for below average Thai Food.

The food is always good but I’m always surprised at the cost. Pad thai and soup take out for $ 20 is a bit much to me. The take out portions aren’t that large either.

First, it is a BYOB. The environment is nice. Not too loud, a bit romantic almost. I’m a fan of their decoration. The staffs are very nice. I let them order my food every time. Plus, I have never had anything I don’t like there. Here are some recommendations: Appetizer: Kung Hom Pa(Shrimp wrapped in noodles are fried to crispy) Main dish: Basil Fried Rice(It’s my favorite dish on the menu) Drinks: Coconut water(For some reason, their coconut water is more refreshing. Plus, they actually put coconut in there) The only downside I can see is the limited options on the menu. I understand it’s a small restaurant but I would love to see some new dishes/specials soon. If you are in the area, you have to try Thai Basil. You won’t be disappointed.

The service here was outstanding. Upon realizing we were vegan, our waitress immediately told us what we could and could not eat. Some of their«vegetarian» items were cooked using fish oil, which is a no-no. We had a really good meal with really good service.

I heart THAI food! After painting at All Fired Up we strolled around this area which is rich with yummy looking restaurants! We settled on Thai Basil and what a good choice it was! The place is small but quaint. Service was prompt and friendly :) I was excited to see that they had Rama(peanut sauce dish) on the menu! Many Thai restaurants do not offer this and it is one my favorites! The sauce was a little thinner than what I am used to but did not disappoint. Very flavorful and fulfilling! The portions are well proportioned and I left feeling full and satisfied without feeling glutinous. For me the only down side is that they do not serve alcohol It is, however, a BYOB.
