The Claridge Pet Resort

Their programs and facilities for dogs are wonderful. They do fill up quickly, so plan with enough time to spare.
On the other hand, their facilities for cats are laughable. They can house a maximum of eight cats in a room smaller than most Collierville walk-​in closets, then stick your cat in a three foot by three foot box, with little extensions to a food and water shelf and a tiny, tiny litter box shelf. There’s a tall cat tree in the center of the room, but with scents of so many cats from boardings past, I doubt any cat genuinely uses it. Additionally, not sure how any exercise for the cats are possible given the minimal square footage. The only windows in the room are high on the wall, so look up for any cats out of their boxes before you take your cat out. I thought boarding my cat here would be a life saver, but the cat-​allocated space make any potential impossible.

I reserved a spot for our dog and asked if I could view the rooms prior to dropping off. The young lady said it was not an issue at all. However, when I arrived it was an issue and the same young lady I spoke with on the phone did not want to make this happen. Actually, she seemed to not be able to get me out any quicker. Needless to say, we had to find a place at the last minute, we were in a pinch. What we found out after the fact, our pup was left in a cage all day with the exception of three potty breaks, must have been «mis-​communication.» Horrible way to treat a member of the family, we will highly recommend our friends never use this place!

Maybe I could give a higher rating if I could ever book my dog in there. Every time I call for a reservation (it was 4 times this week) I am told someone will call me back. No one called. So I went online and filled out the reservation request. No one got back to me. Do they even WANT any business?

Winston first went to Claridge in February of 2014. It was his first time being away from me overnight. I was so nervous. I went out and had a tour and I asked about a billion questions. lol. Facility is very nice and clean. All of the employees that I met were very friendly and the ones tha I obverved seemed to really love working with the dogs.
3 days later my husband dropped Winston off. He stayed for 3 nights. When I picked him up he just finished «doggie daycare» and didn’t seem all that excited to see me. He was exhausted. ha ha
Winston just had his second stay. He was there for 1 night. I wasn’t nervous at all this time when he went. I would def recommend taking your friend here. It’s a great place.

My dog Sheba is always so excited to go to Claridge! The staff greets her warmly and there is no separation anxiety whatsoever. They do a great job pairing her up with fellow patrons for play time. Unlike most kennels, there is absolutely no odor in the facility. I have total confidence that Sheba is well-​cared for at Claridge and highly recommend them.

I’ve brought my dog here for doggy day care and for boarding; he is always happy to be here and the staff couldn’t be any nicer. The facility is lovely, clean and modern and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a safe and trustworthy place to leave their best 4 legged friend.
