The food is good. But if you thought that placing and paying for an order online 6 hours before your pick up time meant it would be ready at the time you specified, you’d be wrong. You will sit and wait for it anyway. Oh and if you order a whole pecan pie from the website, it’s frozen when you get it.

We were in a bit of a rush because we were headed to a nearby event but came here because we had had fast service in the past here and other Corky’s locations. Well, that didn’t happen right away as the tables around us were being served and we weren’t even being noticed. We were finally able to get the attention of a server who was apologetic and proceeded to expedite our order. Food came out good, tasty and quickly as Corky’s food typically is. Very appreciative of the server’s efforts to get us out the door quickly so we could enjoy a good lunch and to our event on time.

Loved this BBQ spot in Memphis. The ribs just fall off the bone! It’s a bit like an Applebees or something inside– not too unique. But the food is good. We also tried the pulled pork and the smoke sausage– all were great. I liked the Spicy BBQ sauce the best. The rolls on the table are nice and warm. I would certainly visit here again. The dry rub forms a nice crust on the ribs and then you can smother with sauce– or get the wet ribs that just fall off the bone. Tough choice. You decide!

We once came here on the regular but we have not been here for a minute. Tonight we needed a quick dinner. We split a grilled chicken salad and the spouse got a pulled pork sandwich. The salad was huge as remembered and enough to share although the spouse didn’t have room with his sandwich. The complimentary bread is just so so. Service is a+

Enjoyed our team BBQ Dinner. And one of the group was vegetarian, who found something. Friendly staff. Brewskies also served in a pitcher for larger groups. Usual, predictable items. Perhaps enjoyed the appetizers the most.

Tonight on the way home I went through the drive-thru at Corky’s in Collierville. I ordered a pulled barbecue pork salad. Imagine my surprise when I got home and looked in the carry out container and there was no meat on my salad. I moved the lettuce, cheese and other toppings around thinking the barbecue might be on the bottom. Nope. Granted I have been trying to lean more towards vegetarian dishes to lose a few pounds but that’s not what I was aiming for tonight. At this point, you are probably wondering way I the world I gave them five stars. The reasons are that 1) any other time I’ve been to this location the service and food have been great, 2) my salad while not what I ordered was wonderful and 3) the manger’s handling of the situation was what you should be able to expect from restaurants. I called Corky’s to let them know what had happened. The young lady that answered the phone was apologetic and asked me to hold for the manager. The manager apologized more than once. I was actually laughing about the situation because in the scheme of things in life it wasn’t that big a deal I just wanted them to know. The manager, Eddie, offered to put a store credit on file for my next visit. I appreciate him and his handling of the situation. Good job!

Great food, great management, great prices. Not the best inside but it’s s BBQ place not suppose to be pretty. We get take out when we have company for 10 – 12 people and it’s always great and a fantastic price for the bulk meals and set up a great buffet. Chicken, ribs, pork, cheese and sausage plate fantastic!

We arrived with a long line of people and were told it would be about an hour wait. We went to the bar while we waited and had a Corkys Ale – it was a delicious wheat beer. After about 30 minutes they were able to seat us. The waitress was pleasant, quick, and efficient. We had our food within about 10 minutes. And WOW, the dry rub pork ribs were the things bbq dreams are made of – with meat so tender it falls off the bone and the flavor of the rub is incredible, the dinner rolls are some of the best I’ve had(except my mom’s of course;)). The bbq beans were decent, and coleslaw was good. Overall this was the best pork ribs I’ve ever had. I’ll grab some to go for my non traveling family to try:). The banana pudding was delicious too!

I’ve eaten BBQ all over the U.S., and this was some of the worst I’ve come across. Brisket is a challenging meat to cook, let alone BBQ, and Corky’s brisket is terrible. Fatty, grisly, tough and just plain undercooked, their brisket borders on inedible. Their beans are mushy and float in too much sauce. It lacks the feel of a good BBQ joint. It’s like a place where they think they know BBQ, but in reality, they don’t. Ultimately the dining experience at Corky’s doesn’t attract you to ever return.

Been to other Corky locations when I was in town before. This location was nice because it wasn’t as busy as the others. Food is always great! I love the ribs and pulled pork. They do have good salad options for those that are wondering. Also being from the north I had to have done hush puppies, they are great here. Setting is informal, tables usually seat up to 6, so good for a group. Staff is friendly, and do try to be quick. If you haven’t been I would definitely recommend.

The dry ribs were amazing. The meat fell off the bone. The BBQ Nachos will make your mouth water. Worth it every time.

Corky’s always my go to bbq place. I love this place! I know most all the waiters and they are friendly and glad to see us every time we come in. Been a fan for over 15 years! The BBQ meat will melt in your mouth! Matter of fact it is better today than ever! I am not a fan of the Commissary, the meat tasted like it has been boiled and I have to keep pouring on the sauce. Even their pies taste and smell smokey. I like the little town C’ville Corky’s! You never wait for refills or anything else you might want.

Ehh, it’s ok. I like the Commissary in Germantown better, though. Hubby liked their chili and my BBQ pork sandwich was ok, but it was really nothing special. My family gets it as take out every now and again and it’s pretty good then. I like their sauce, though. Like: — Sauce

I’m here during BBQ fest which means they will not be busy at 1140AM. The very unfriendly lady at the front said she can’t seat a party of two unless my other party came. There are 10 tables open. So I asked what if it was just me. She said then I could seat you, but if u saw you’re waiting I couldn’t seat you. I told her but this is corkys and she said but we have a small restaurant. She said it’s the rule. I’m thinking you should be glad I even drove down here from downtown because there’s BBQ fest happening literally 1 minute from my house, and you should be thrilled anyone is coming here during BBQ fest. So I did roll my eyes and in one minute she said oh I can seat you. By the way my friend arrived within 5 minutes and when my friend said there’s one person here waiting with brown hair the lady told her no no ones here. Oh I’m sorry because we are not the same race it doesn’t mean we are not friends. I’ll be driving to Cordova from now on. To be fair I will rate food separately: I have always loved corkys but I realized that it’s their sauces that I like. They also have good rolls and the best potato salad ever. Service is always decent except the rude hostess.

On our way back from fishing the Tennessee River my cousin and I decide to give Corky’s a try. At first sight we were nervous. From the outside, this place looks like chain, almost like we were headed into an Applebees. However, in this case, we learned not to judge a book by it’s cover. Having eaten at Rendzvous the night prior, we were hoping this would yield a better experience, and it did. Let’s start with the ribs. The ribs are Corky’s were much meatier and tender. At Rendzvous the ribs had very little meat and didn’t not fall off the bone. Corky’s did. And, their rub is pretty good, too. We also tried several other meats: their pork, smoked turkey and chicken, all of which I’d give a solid rating to. The pork was much better than we had at Rendzvous. Much. The smokey turkey was good, not great. It could have been a little more juicy and we only had a few bites of the chicken as we were full! It was, however, juicy, fell off the bone and packed with flavor. The sides were ok. They weren’t gourmet by any means, but were loaded with flavor(and calories, I’m sure). The homemade potato chips were doused in their rub and awesome. The beans and slaw was ok, as were the fries. Honestly, we didn’t tackle the sides too much. The meats occupied our time. The service here was very good. Our waiter knew everything about the menu and a ton about Memphis BBQ so he was able to compare what we’d had at other places to what they offer. And, unlike many of the other local BBQ places that are downtown, this spot is ruled by locals, not tourists(like us).

In collierville for work and after a long drive into town we didn’t feel like driving back into Memphis, I found this location on Unilocal and we went. Parking lot was full but the restaurant wasn’t. I ordered the ribs(dry) and pulled pork with the regular slaw and beans and bread that comes with it. The slaw was not the best but had a unique enough taste to be worthwhile. The beans were regular old beans and the bread was good and fresh and buttery. Now to the important stuff. I had read that ribs were their specialty so I decided to try them. The dry run was good, tasty with out being too salty or having overpowering spice. They took to some sauce being slathered on them well. The pulled por was good, not the best. By only real complain was the sauce that came on them… tasted… OLD. Wish I had ordered with no sauce and added my own. The sauces were regular, spicy/hot and apple… made with apple sauce… no. Not my thing, I found I liked a mix of the regular and spicy sauce. There is also hot sauce if you want it. Ours was unmarked.

Corky’s is pretty good BBQ. It is a clean and friendly BBQ joint, which both makes it more appealing but also leaks some credibility as a «down home» BBQ place. As with Asian food, the darker and scarier the restaurant, usually the better the food(imho). Their claim to fame is their dry rub and dry ribs. Anyone can throw a sugary BBQ sauce onto meat and make it taste good. Sealing in that smoky flavor and not overwhelming with sodium is a SKILL, my friends. They do it right with the yeast rolls, real butter, slaw, and more. Recently I drove-thru the Collierville location and got a sack of their homemade potato chips, which were nice and thick, but lacked flavor. Paprika is no substitute for salt, Corky’s! I still love ya. Great for a taste of Memphis when you’re out of town, too. Check out their delivery center for family and friends.

Food is «ok». Used to love Corky’s for its sauce, but as usual I burn out on one thing and move on to the next. Partial to Rendezvous sauce & rub now. Not their over-cooked, over-priced ribs — their sauce and rub. Anywho, I got a Corky’s BBQ pack for 15 last night. The buns were stale and the meat had NO smoke flavor like it was just baked in an oven. Gosh, my kids could do that at home. Resting on laurels.

Looking for that hole in the wall type of restaurant that everyone flocks to because of great food? Look no further. The atmosphere is a bit dated but I can’t think of anyone that goes to Corky’s for good atmosphere. It’s no wonder that Corky’s has been a landmark in Memphis for so many decades and that they ship BBQ all over the United States… It’s because the food is great! The debate over who sells the best barbecue in Memphis won’t be solved here but I would bet that Corky’s is mentioned in almost every one of those countless debates and many times it ends up on top.
