So I showed up for my annual eye exam this morning with Dr. R. James Maggs whom has been looking at eyes since I was a high school kid standing in line for the first Star Wars movie, and looking at mine for nearly half the last decade. Was told he was not in and that my Dr. would be Dr. Marsh. Okay cool. I later found out that my Dr. that I probably won’t see again was on vacation before retiring. What a nice way to start a retirement with a vacation eh? Well after nearly 50 years I am sure he can use some time off. Very happy for him and will miss him. Dr. Marsh was pleasant, professional and accurate. She picked right up where Dr. Maggs left off and she nailed the progression of the aging of my eyes perfectly. She also suggested some eyeglass options with I had not had before with a clear fit to my lifestyle. She took time to explain what she clearly thought would be best for me, even while I purchase via Internet and not there at TSO. Totally awesome service. Now something a little funny and ironic. When telling my wife that I had a new eye doctor and that mine was retiring, she stated that it was odd, as hers just retired as well and she had a new one. When I mentioned that my eye doctors partner has just retired and sorta convinced him to also, we discovered in looking through paperwork that all along my wife and I’s(not a pun! ;p) eye doctors were the same two that were retiring, and we now both have the same new one, Dr. Marsh. We had no idea that we were going to the same place, nor that our doctors were both retiring and that we both had the same new one. And we had to laugh about that as College Station is a large town and it’s just so ironic. Great minds think alike I guess. Dr. Marsh. She rocks. Have her check your eyes as she is really good. My wife and I will both be back to see her next year for sure.
