Service is getting worse. Been there three times in the last month … Had to continually interrupt waitress to place an order, to pay etc…

Got the«Build your own Burger» and it was awesome! Great service, fast service, onion rings and fried pickles were delicious, and the Karbauch Weekend Warrior topped it off.

I’ve been looking for a good burger since I moved here… both Koppe Bridge and Grub burger fell short. SMITTY Ks has the BEST burger in town by far! Delicious patty and toppings, big side of tasty fries, really well priced for the big portion. This place also has a good atmosphere, and tons of TVs around the room to watch any game you want!

I drive a drop and hook delivery route from Austin and deliver across true street. For lunch I order the slider with fried pickles and beer batter fries. It is a great meal for under $ 6. If you are hungry, order the regular burger & fry.

Husband and I went here Saturday night to watch the Aggie game. We got there a few minutes before kickoff and it wasn’t crowded. Husband got a few beers-appreciated that they already had bottles of Holiday Cheer but do wish they had more on draft. That being said, the prices were fair. We got fried pickles to start. Perfectly thin with delicious breading and piping hot. Came out within minutes. Generous size for the price. I got a grilled chicken breast with Mac n cheese and a house salad. Huge portion of chicken, but was SO salty. Almost couldn’t eat it. Sides were great. My husband loved his chicken fingers. They didn’t look frozen and the smitty k sauce(blend of BBQ and honey mustard, similar to chick fil a sauce) was great. Service was hit or miss, but cutting them some slack since we stayed for most of the game. The waitresses all looked young and most of the time sat at the bar gossiping. We were close enough to hear some interesting stories. They didn’t exactly rush over to refill water or anything, but we were able to get what we needed by flagging them down. Easy place to watch a game. Not crowded. Good prices. Good food. Would enjoy it if they put heaters on the patio in the future.

Awesome — the Best Wings in America! This place leaves The other Wing places in the dust– my buddy took me there, and I can’t believe how great the Wings and Their special sauce bowled me over. Also — GET the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich —- only in Kentucky can you get this quality and taste. This place will be famous soon!

My daughter, two sons and I decided to go out and watch last nights Sunday Night Football game. When we arrived I noticed the crowd was pretty small but that meant little to me, because we were there to see the game and catchup with each other and just enjoy the night. Our waitress was nice and friendly. The girl at the bar, I assumed she worked there could have been more attentive to the clientele but it seemed she was more interested and talking to the two guys sitting at the end of the bar than working. I ordered food and asked them to bring it at halftime. As we moved towards halftime it was about 8:40, we were told they were going to close at 9:00? This surprised my son checked the Internet, I don’t know if it was their website, FB or something equal to Unilocal but it stated they are open for all football games. Well, I suppose they technically were but 9:00? I question the waitress about this and she told us they would still serve us food but I didn’t want to sit there feeling like I need to hurry nor did I want to keep the employees past what apparently was the closing time. It’s not a bad place and I’ll prolly go back but only if there is a significant crowd present. We left there and went to the Fox & Hound. A much better place to watch the game with all of their staff more in tune with patronage. Going to SmittyKs for an early dinner would be fine but o would not recommend going there if you want to be assured of watching a game from start to finish. That is subject to the size of the crowd present, apparently.

FOOD: Pulled pork sandwich: Tasty soft jalapeño cheese bun w/good flavored pulled BBQ pork. The beer battered fries it came w/was also good, w/nice seasoning. OVERALL: Really far from campus, so I don’t see myself coming here very often, but they do serve good food.

We ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with chips, burger and fries, and macaroni and cheese. My husband loved his but mine was over salted on everything and hard to finish… maybe just me but it took away from the flavor of the burger. Service was good and waitress was nice, especially to our messy little guy. Good place to go for food and sports as there are televisions all over. Really wanted to try the chips and queso but $ 8 seemed like too much for an appetizer. Does that make me cheap? Overall it was a good place.

The ONLY reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their COMPLETELYNASTY chicken fried steak. I don’t know what kind of meat it is or what, but it is HORRIBLE. Along with the gravy that is as much if not worse. The breading on it was flavorless too. All in all I give the CFSNOSTARS. BUT there is a light at the end of the tunnel! They have literally THEBESTBURGER I HAVEEVERHAD!!! Along side the amazing burger were beer battered fries and a beer!!! Simply AMAZING! DEF will be going back here for their burgers!!!

Smitty K’s savory pulled pork burger explodes with scrumptious flavor, with sweet potato fries and Texas Sweet Tea… all are highly recommended. Oh yes, don’t forget to try their new Texas Calamari!

If you don’t want to read the longish story, here is a brief summary: 1. food is rather good when not spoiled, 2. they need to learn how to handle mishaps, 3. prices are higher than what you might expect. Having seen this place getting ready while driving by, and then reading some diverse reviews, I decided to try this place myself. A discount flyer that got my attention was an added nudge. So, I came here for a lunch last week. My first impression was that it took rather long to cook a burger: way over 20 minutes, close to a half an hour. Yes, it was a lunch time, but not at its peak. When I was already trying to find my waitress to ask where my burger was, it finally appeared. The burger was rather good, not spectacular, but good enough that I was willing to forgive the long wait. Then I tried the side of veggies. Those were overcooked, but I realized that I should’ve asked them about how they are cooked, while ordering… After all, for many places in rural Texas, it is typical to overcook vegetables. So, I was willing to let it slide, but the worst came up once I bit a piece of cauliflower: That cauliflower was way beyond its shelf live, and I had to spit it out. However, the biggest disappointment started close to the end: 1. When I was ordering the burger, the waitress offered me a choice of sides, saying that it was included. I was confused, as according to the menu only fries were included, and the sides were extra. I asked about that explicitly, and then confirmed again after choosing the side.(I was not too hungry, and would not have ordered a side otherwise, but I didn’t want the fries either, so a different side had a chance of being useful.) When the bill arrived, — it had the up-charge for the side! I asked the waitress about it, reminding that she explicitly said it was included. Immediately the bartender(he was either a manager or the owner of this place) came to the table, and started telling me that the menu clearly says that there is an extra charge for the sides. What would’ve been reasonable is if the waitress at this point were to admit that she had made a mistake. Nope! She disappeared before this guy finished his sentence. When I explained to him the situation, he in a «I forgive you» way said that he will remove this charge this time, but didn’t even bother to apologize. He also said that he applied the 10% discount from the flyer that I mentioned to the waitress in the beginning even though I didn’t have that flyer with me. I appreciate that, except it sounded as if it excuses all of the mishaps. 2. Next, I mentioned to him the spoiled cauliflower, but he didn’t seem to be interested. He barely acknowledged hearing me, maybe with something quick like«I’ll let them know». While I was not expecting or requesting any discounts for that, a normal response for that would have included some type of apology, at least a simple«sorry». Nope, apologies are not on the menu at this place. In most cases, restaurants are not only about the food, but also about the experience. Yes, this is a new establishment, and even at the best places, mishaps can happen. What distinguishes restaurants is how they handle the problems. This place has to work on that, and that starts from the management. A few Unilocalers have discussed the prices. In my opinion, this place is a bit overpriced for what it is. Menu items are only«SORTOF under $ 10»(quoting Greg D.). «Build your own burger» starts from $ 8 but quickly goes up with any add-ons, and the rest of the sandwiches are $ 9 or $ 10. And the sides are $ 2(or $ 1.50 if you get them instead of the fries or chips). While these prices are OK for dinner entrees, it is too much for lunch sandwiches/burgers.

Enjoyed Smitty’s this afternoon. Thanks to Quentin for mentioning that it exists with his FTR and thanks to Angie T. for her terrible review which is why we decided to eat lunch here today. As mentioned by owner Robert in response to her review, I can verify that the menu prices are sort of under $ 10 per person. What’s gonna cost you out the ass here is beer. One single can of local College Station, Damnit! Jim by New Republic Brewery was $ 4.50. WTF bros? That’s a DRAFTPRICE! So yeah if you drink a lot of beer your ticket price will show it. This appears to be an odd place for a new restaurant and we questioned it. It’s right across the street from the Beer Joint, great local music venue in fact. Our waitress told us the story about how it used to be a machine shop and how the owner died, and the kids decided to open a sports bar, in hopes of new development in the area. Good idea, as there are no other restaurants out here. Wife ordered the Turkey plate with home made mac & cheese and garden green beans. Her plate was served on a stainless steel pizza platter which in combination with the extremely efficient stainless steel ceiling fan does cause the plate to lose temperature fast, but it was served hot to begin with. We enjoyed the quality and the turkey was top notch, possibly smoked by Readfields whom they seem to be in bed with. Local. Good. $ 8 plate rocked and was a fair deal. I ordered a burger. These burgers are called«build your own» starting at $ 8. I added jalapenos and cheddar with bacon. Asked when given the bun selection as «white, wheat or jalapeño cheese» if the buns were from Sheila Parton in Houston. Waitress to me no, that they were from Readfields. Well, Readfields is not a bakery, it’s a meat source and sure enough the bun was indeed a Shiela Parton which is exactly what Stover and Harvey Washbangers uses. The burger came out without the bacon I ordered and it was removed from the check before we paid when I pointed that out. The bun should have been grilled in butter or some fat as it was too bready. The fries were excellent and hot(unlike Harvey Washbangers that has always served cold fries in my experience.) Burger and beer breaded fries were also on a stainless steel pizza pan which could lose temp but I ate it so fast that was a non issue. The burger had a great taste, yet with no mayo and none offered; it could have been better. Keep in mind that adding cheese is .55, jalapenos is .55, bacon is $ 1.50 and avocado is $ 1.50. So you could very quickly«create your own» $ 12 burger. That is too expensive in my opinion and every burger in Aggieland should be under $ 10 with everything on it. The home made potato chips were in fact bad ass. Best chips in College Station easy. Here is where it gets fun. One of the owners Robert was talking it up and giving out free tequila shots to a few Harley bikers and we overheard the whole loud conversation. When he made it to our table I complimented how he dealt with the bad Unilocal review where the lady claimed it was $ 80 for 4 people. He said«We hate Unilocal!». WHAT? I am sure I uttered that«I hate Unilocal as well due to Elite discrimination» but this guy went off. Said that Unilocal called them and offered them an «advertising package» of no less than $ 700 a month up to $ 1500 a month and he told them to fuck off and said quote«Ya’ll are a bunch of thugs extorting people and we will not play your game!» AMEN! LOL! And then Unilocal took all of their good reviews and marked them as not recommended. Look at all of these; Smitty K’s is a great new place to eat in Aggieland. A tad off the beaten path, innovative and really excellent food. Beer is way too expensive, they hate Unilocal as much as I do, and I think they have a great thing going. Family friendly, great food and a great place to watch a game.

Brand new sports bar with a clean environment and enjoyable atmosphere. You can eat inside or outside and enjoy the flat screen tvs. Owner was very nice and came over to ask how we were and took some time to talk to us about his business and what motivated him and his business partner to open up in College Station. We had the nachos which are made in fresh homemade potato chips. Different concept but very enjoyable and full on toppings. They did not hold back or try to give you that non melted cheese cheap version. We then ordered a burger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a wheat bun. It was a $ 7.50 burger and tasted like a $ 10 burger. Everything was quality from the bun to the beef. You can tell it is fresh made and not over cooked. If you want cheap food and enjoy precooked processed frozen meat then this is not the place for you. We are not drinkers but there was a full service bar with beers on tap. Do yourself a favor and make the trip.

This place is great. I came into town for the Aggie game and heard this was a good place to watch games. Lots of TVs, very friendly staff, cold beer and really good food. The burger was oustanding with such great flavor. Lots of great patio space. Next time I am in town I will stop by for sure.

Tried this place because I love sports bars. Was not disappointed! Owners were very personable, wait staff was great, and the food was well executed. Being only their 3rd day open, we were impressed with the atmosphere as well as the presentation of our food. It’s easy to tell when someone takes pride in their food, and these folks take pride! We counted 18 TVs including 1 large projection screen, and we’re told there will be 3 additional screens located on the outside patio. Local craft beers were available, as well as a Dreamsicle Daquiri that my wife loved. I will be back!
