Loved this place! We’re new here and found our Mexican restaurant here! Casa Pachita is great, the food is priced very reasonable and their story is touching! It is a family owned business and Pachita was their grandmother. I love being able to have great food and service at a small locally owned restaurant. We will be going back very often! The food was fresh and cooked right when we ordered it!

This place screams«Hole in the Wall.» So my first instinct is to not go in with an expectation. You pick your own table whenever you walk in — no need to wait to be seated. The décor is definitely home done with some interesting photos not properly put in the frames. There are roughly 20 tables in the entire place and I was intrigued to see only one waitress for the 5 tables currently occupied. But she managed it just fine! But you’re not reading this because of the décor, you want to know about the food, right? I ordered the menu item called something«Pancho.» It was a ground beef burrito smothered in Chile con Queso with the typical side of rice and beans. Maybe this was just the lunch portion(it certainly wasn’t the«American» portion size) but they seemed to skimp a bit on the rice and beans. The burrito was good but the queso seemed a little off. It wasn’t bad but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. The waitress made sure we were properly taken care of without being annoying and she had a wonderful smile on her face for us! I’ll be returning on occasion.

I tried this place one day for lunch. I had a Hooked coupon for half off queso and used that. Queso was ok. Cheese is always good right? I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas since I was unsure of what to order. Fajitas were good. Next time I will definitely order something more adventurous. I didn’t ask for the green sauce, but next time I will! The red salsa was really good though! Very clean restaurant and great service. Will definitely go back and try something new!

I love Casa Pachita! I come here often and have brought many friends because everybody needs to know about this place. Their chips and salsa are fresh and delicious, the chips sometimes arrive warm to your table. Their breakfast dishes and entrées are super delicious! However, the best part is the service offered by the owners. It is wonderful.

The enchiladas Tejanas with the gravy are amazing! My fiancé and I come about once every 2 weeks or so and we are always greeted with amazing service from the wait staff. I LOVE their breakfast chilaquiles(breakfast is served all day) and the chips are the best I’ve had in town… way better than the store bought chips other«Mexican» restaurants around town provide.

Red sauce was meh, green sauce was amazing. Taco al pastor plate was tasty and not too fatty. Waitress was nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

Small mom & pop place… decent Mexican food. I don’t really care for their chips and salsa though. They use whole fried corn tortillas instead of normal chips(which is fine I guess…), but the salsa is kind of bland. We ordered a queso and it was pretty good. my 3yr Olds loved it. I also ordered the appetizer sampler and didn’t have any complaints. Our server was friendly, the atmosphere was clean, food was decent, prices ok, but all in all nothing to rave about when it comes to Mexican food.

Possibly the best enchiladas I’ve had in town. Never busy here, with very friendly staff.

Tried Casa Pachita after church on a Sunday. It is small with 10 tables but is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The music isn’t loud so you can carry on a conversation. Waitstaff and front room consisted of one poor guy running around, waiting on 20 people. Needless to say, don’t be in too much of a hurry, you are going to have to wait for your food. The chips are unique in that they bring them out whole. Salsa was okay and had a little heat. I agree that the tea is awful and was very thin and tasteless. Did I mention the wait? We ordered a large nacho and a fajita pachita salad and waited 40 minutes or more. I was disappointed. My lettuce was washed and not dried, making my salad super watery. It had green peppers on it and green peppers are not listed on the menu. If the meat had not been on it, it would have been tasteless. The ranch was Hidden Valley, nothing original. Hubby’s nacho chips were tough, and unimaginative. We have made better at home. The food was almost, if they just tweaked things to make the presentation better. The meat and chicken were tender and tasty. Not sure if I will go back. Too many others restaurants that have it going on.

Amazing! Got the street tacos, so good the grilled onions made the meal! Will definitely be back here again!

Casa Pachita is the new Mexican restaurant at Texas and Southwest Parkway in the Planet Fitness Center. Walking in, you notice the bright colors on the wall(pink and green to match their eye-catching sign) and the bright smiles on the faces that greet you. Several friends have been urging me to give this unassuming and totally authentic Mexican eatery a try and now I see why. Great and unique Maxican food! I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and a Chorizo and Egg Breakfast Taco. Before I even had a bite they were WINNING for serving breakfast tacos all day. Prior to dinner arriving, the salsa they brough out was hot and slightly sweet at the same time. The chips that accompanied it were whole corn tortillas… fresh and hot. The Enchiladas were delicious, stuffed with seasoned chicken and not much else, topped with Verde Sauce and cheese. The plate also came with refired beans and rice. I don’t eat refried beans, but the rice was fresh and well prepared. I will definitely be back to Casa Pachita to try more of their menu. I have a feeling I will have MANY favorites.

Very clean and friendly, but my food was terrible. I had the Texas enchiladas with beef gravy and a crispy beef taco. The gravy was the most garlicky enchilada gravy I’ve ever had. They were okay, but I wouldn’t order them again. The retried beans tasted flat out terrible. Not sure if they were old or what, but they were bad. Rice was okay. Taco was blah. The hot sauce has a funky taste. Overall just a bad experience. I feel bad for being so harsh, because they seem so nice, but it was just not good. Oh, and the tea was AWFUL. I only took two sips. They definitely do not use filtered water. It was bad. Sorry, Casa Pachita.

Have been looking forward to eating since the FTR reviewer(one of my Unilocal friends) mentioned it being built out and then again his /her quite well written FTR. This is to me, as crazy as it may sound, is actually Mexican Tex-Mex Fusion which can grow and find an identity in the community easily. Wife and I stopped by just after noon today and were the only customers. While we ate a few more groups showed up. The complimentary salsa(which tasted like it was from bulk) came with quite nice tostada full sized shells. When comparing prices, the FTR is correct in that the tacos are higher than normal, yet still not as high as Jesse’s in Bryan which is a great place. We ordered the(4) Brisket taco plate which came with charro beans and grilled onions. The tacos were on corn(double) finger sized, onions went well and the beans were bad ass with this slabs of bacon and a smokey presence. These tacos if Mexican should have have fresh diced white onions, cilantro and served with key lime wedges. I’ll order them like that next time. They were really good but need a sauce. And I’m sorry to report that no one has every served a proper green enchilada(verde) plate in Bryan /College Station in the last 8 years and I have tried all of them. In this case they crossed over Tex-Mex by topping with Queso Mexican cheese but the green sauce tasted bulk. Food was served at a lower temp than I prefer and in fact the cheese on the enchiladas never fully melted. I’ll give it 4 stars as a fan because I think any indy deserves a fair and objective welcome along with local input. The true rating is 3.5 stars but they are new. They need home made sauces and serve at a higher temp and then they could provide a wow factor to compliment their large and interesting menu.

Finally, they are open.(February 9) I had a couple of breakfast tacos. Those were nice, but a bit on a drier side: I prefer when the tacos a bit more juicier. I am also going to ask them if they can add onions and cilantro to the fajitas. The prices are considerably higher compared to the Mexican restaurants that I like in Bryan, but still OK if the food will be tasty. For example, breakfast tacos start from somewhere around 2:50, but most of them are over $ 3.00. In fact, fajitas taco is $ 3.50 or $ 3.75, and it says the extra ingredients(I didn’t ask which ones? onions? cilantro?) are 35 cents. The staff is very friendly, helpful and excited about their place opening for business. I am looking forward to more visits here and trying other items from the menu. I would like this place to become a nice Mexican restaurant in College Station. That«chair» is vacant so far.
