I was sold wrong ammunition at this store I returned it t0 manager she was nice but she said that all my ammunition wasn’t there and it was tampered with I counted it myself it wasn’t there there was one missing when I got home I opened it completely it was all there. I’m out $ 200 for crap ammunition that don’t even go to my rifle, their sales person said it was the right ammo. my own fault for being in a hurry, but piss poor customer service on sales said. If you are not a specialist you should know your ammunition if not keep your mouth shut.

This is such a fun place to shop! The fact that they allow dogs is super cool because I can browse with my puppy and get something nice for both of us.
Be warned though, there is not much room for a basket in the clothing sections. Which is slightly good because they have a great selection.

Always clean, jam packed full of Academy stuff, largest clothes section I have seen in an Academy.
Right next door to Gander Mountain which makes no sense.
Make sure if your returning something you have the guy at the front check in your item. But be warned, our guy was a little slow and didn’t tell us to wait in the «return» line to return something so wasted 10 minutes in the wrong line just to be told wrong line.
This is Academy… you know what to expect.

Academy is a chain of sporting goods & outdoors stores. They have sports, and casual clothing, a wide variety of shoes, sports & exercise equipment, a well as hunting, shooting, paintball, fishing, camping, and camping equipment & supplies.
I’ve been shopping here for shoes for years, since they carry such a large range of hikers, sports, and work shoes, cheaper than almost anywhere in town, and with consistently much higher quality than discount stores.
I also find BBQ grates & utensils, wood chips, rubs, seasonings & bastes.
