Been twice to have my eyeglasses repaired — the second time a couple years after the first to repair the same breakage. I was greeted promptly both times and the(relatively simple) repair was completed in less than a half hour. As the second repair was a repeat of the first, there was no charge and the technician took my word for the fact that it was a repeat repair. Totally satisfied and can recommend this to anyone.

After spending over 400 $ at bard optical in Peru il on eye glasses. No fault of my own a screw popped out of the frames. I went back to bard and they said unfortunately you didn’t buy the warranty, I thought it came with the glasses after spending that much money! I found frame menders on the net. Sent them in and got them back in 2 days! If I ever need glasses fixed, I would definitely go back there! I would also stay away from BARD optical as they don’t stand behind their products!

I brought in titanium-frame glasses that had broken at the bridge in for repair on a Saturday. I waited for a little while until someone came out to talk to me, and they said it would cost $ 60 and that I could pick up the glasses on Monday(since they’re not open Sunday). It seemed a little pricey already so I declined to pick them up the same day(which I think costs $ 5). The weld was very noticeable(he had warned me that you would see it) and pretty thick, but it seemed like it would hold. Then on Friday, the frame broke again– this time just to the side of the weld. I’m not sure if it’s because the weld made the metal more brittle or what, but I was not expecting that. We brought the glasses back in, and thankfully they repaired that part for free(though the guy did say to come back at 1 p.m. but stayed out at lunch until nearly 1:30, so we had to wait around). It’s been nearly another week and they’re still intact, so we’ll see what happens from here.

The hinges on my glasses needed to be replaced and the optical shop where I purchased them recommended The Frame Mender. They completed the repair quickly(30 mins) at a fair price($ 35 with Unilocal coupon). This will be my go to spot for any future eyeglass repairs!!!

When I got my glasses back from this place, I was feeling very spiritual for some reason. Probably because they literally saved me. Money that is. I’m about to go on a cruise so the last thing I have is extra cash to replace my glasses so the service they provide here was perfect. I «composed» a little hymn to explain. «Amazingly fast repairs How sweet that sounds To save a klutz like me My glasses broke But now they’re bound Was blind now I can see!» Normally, for a $ 5 fee, they can fix any frame plastic, metal, or whatever on the same day someone drops them off. Unfortunately in my case, I did some extensive damage to my glasses when I sat on them. I broke the nose piece right in half. While they couldn’t fix my glasses the same day, they did the next best thing. They had my glasses fixed in College Park and dropped them off at the location in Farragut Square near my work. That is going the extra mile! Or miles as it were. At $ 60, I wasn’t expecting perfection in their bonding but let’s just say I wasn’t totally satisfied with how«invisible» the mend is. They said it would be visible even after repair but it’s almost to the point that I need to put tape on my glasses to cover it up. I did find it funny that this place is next to a gaming café. I guess nerdy customers who get into slap fights next door must break their glasses a lot. And if they do, I recommend this place to them wholeheartedly. Or anyone who breaks their glasses and can’t afford new ones really.

Great experience at the Frame Mender — wish I’d bought the Unilocal deal when I saw it, but I hadn’t been sure they’d be able to fix my husband’s broken glasses! But they did it in 30 minutes for $ 50 and the glasses look brand new. They were thorough and professional, and the customer service was perfect.

They fixed the temple very well. It cost twice what I thought/hoped it would(60 bucks) and took twice as long(nearly 4 hours). The person who attended me was unusually curt.. . could use some customer service training.(How about a smile and pleasant greeting to start?) He abruptly refused to even consider calling my cell phone to notify me when they were ready.

I went to the Frame Mender to get a pair of sunglasses fixed. I was afraid they were broken to the point of no repair. Not only did they fix my sunglasses to the effect that I never would’ve known they had been broken, but had them done so quickly, I hardly had time to sit down in the waiting room. I have since told all of my friends about my experience and will absolutely go back. Thank you!!!
