A very friendly and accessible Starbucks outlet in College Park. You have to pay to park every day but Sunday, but most customers arrive on foot. In addition to the full menu of coffee drinks(hot and cold) this Starbucks location has the Clover® Brewing System. According to the Starbucks technology website: The Clover® brewing system is a rare leap forward in coffee brewing technology that lets us craft a single cup of perfectly brewed coffee with exquisite balance, depth of flavor, and aroma. Innovative Vacuum-Press™ technology and precise control over water temperature and brew time work in conjunction to ensure we can extract the best flavor from the coffee. Since every bean, roast and blend is different, controlling the brew is essential to getting the most out of every cup. We pair the Clover® with our rare, small-lot Starbucks Reserve Coffees to bring them to life in the most extraordinary way.

Store is a lot better after the redesign this year but the baristas mess up my order from time to time. Still a decent place to get work done if one can find a table.

On our recent trio to the College Park, Maryland Starbucks I chose the smallest size peppermint mocha while my husband had the vanilla chai latte(one of the reasons why we keep coming back to this College Park Starbucks has to do with the consistent flavorful drinks). We also bought some appetizing tasting banana bread and ginger bread(each bread was just a dollar each).

The place is big and I like sitting there and work. It’s clean and the employees are super nice(usually). The only downside here is the fact that for such a big place there is only one restroom for women and one for men. There have been several time I had to wait like 10 minutes in line. The annoying part is that this place has been renovated during the last summer(great job!!!) so I really can’t understand why they didn’t take care of this issue.

Regular star bucks as always but good to see a calmer atmosphere. Liked the service. Good job overall.

Nice Starbucks. Clean! Really large inside, you can’t tell that from the exterior. My drink was just right. Wish it wasn’t metered parking.

I used to come here all the time during my years at UMD to study, and I’m still a regular since I work close by. They have plenty of seating and of course the free WI-FI. The WI-FI can be shotty though sometimes. There are also not that many outlets, so bring your laptops fully charged. But it’s still a good spot to work on your homework(bring headphones though). The baristas here are pretty good. They are accommodating and friendly. Also, this location does NOT have a drive-though…not sure why some of the reviews say it does. If you are looking for a drive-through location there is one not too far from this Starbucks on Cherry Hill Road. And don’t forget to pay for the metered parking outside. The parking enforcement is pretty strict.

I come to this starbucks most of the time to study. The wifi sucks and they keep it pretty cold in there. The chairs and tables were unorganized today and they removed a large table and replaced it with a couch.

Every one it’s very nice at this Star bucks but if you order a cappuccino, make sure you tell them you wantmore coffee then foam or you will get a cup of foam with less then half a cup of coffee. total rip off And Starbucks is already over priced. This could be just a blip since I have never had this happen before here but if the cup feels light say something.

I gave one male barista a cash note of $ 50; he took it, looked at it in front of his eyes for few seconds and then asked me to pay by credit card; while the receipt was being printed he asked«is there anything you need?» with a very cold look; surprised I just looked at him without speaking; then he handed me the receipt in a very rude way. and the wifi didn’ work for about an hour and when finally it works it breaks often. worst Starbucks experience ever.

Ill tell you a reason why I gave this 5 stars. They are quick, polite, easy, and I asked for extra hazelnut in my chai latte and guess what… BOOM they did it. Made my day. Id rather travel 35 minutes to this starbucks then go to any others. 5 stars!

This is my go to Starbucks. The employees are very personable! I have never had an issue with this location — they always make my coffee to PURRRFECTION! They have outdoor seating(when the weather permits), free Wifi, and a drive thru for all the true coffee addicts: D. Love love love this location Favorites: Iced Coffee with Caramel Syrup & Soy Iced Caramel Macciahtio with Soy or Skim Mozzarella, Tomato, Pesto Panini Santa Fe Chicken Panini

I find myself here on Saturday mornings and it’s not too busy then. The baristas are friendly and courteous. The coffee comes out quickly and correctly, which is what I need when I’m coming in for a caffeine fix. The location makes for great studying, working, or people-watching. The only draw back is the metered parking.

I visited this Starbucks about once a day when at UMD over the summer and have to say it is one of my favorite locations. The baristas took the time to learn my name and my order which made me feel special(and made it clear that I had a Starbucks addiction haha) and I also witnessed them giving advice to other customers on what types of drinks were offered. There is a ton of seating which is great but there could be a few more outlets. One thing I found slightly dissatisfying was the presence of a lot of people who weren’t even customers yet they were using up many of the chairs. I wish this were better enforced and these loiterers were kicked out. Another gripe with the store was the wifi which was spotty and slow(although sometimes this was a blessing in disguise because it prompted me to get off Facebook and study!).

It’s a Starbucks that’s got plenty of seating. Usually that wins more stars in my book. But the large parking lot has individual parking meters(costing $ 0.75 per hour, for a max of 2 hours), that pretty much discourages any sort of leisurely reading experience at this particular location. There’s no parking validation with purchases, and the barista told me that the lot actually enforces the parking tickets aggressively. Thumbs down for the parking situation at this Starbucks. Don’t come here to study if you’re getting here in a car.

I’m surprised this Starbucks had such bad reviews, because I was actually really happy with my experience. Normally I wouldn’t even think to rate a Starbucks, but my last few experiences have been less than stellar. Unlike other Starbucks, this one filled up the cup to the top — if I’m getting a latte, mocha, etc, I’m not going to be putting cream in it so why wouldn’t you fill it up to the top? My friend got plain coffee and they actually asked her if she wanted them to leave space, which she didn’t. She really appreciated the fact that they asked. Both the guy behind the cash register and the one making my coffee were very friendly. It wasn’t busy — which may have something to do with it – but they took our order quickly and efficiently, and the order was ready really fast. They also didn’t skimp on the pumps of syrup in my white chocolate mocha!

Got the tall dark roast. Hell yeah! It was good. They had plenty of place to study in this joint. A+ for effort

The Starbucks of UMD! Located in a busy, popular shopping area with lots of food vendors around. This Starbucks is a fairly big shop, filled with students and visitors to the campus.

If I were a UMCP student, this would definitely be on my list of study spots. I’ve been to other Starbucks locations(who hasn’t, right?) only to find that this one was eerily quieter than most — it seemed like even the espresso machine was mindful of the studying students. Size is average — I can imagine this place getting packed during mid-terms and finals.

I stopped in for an Iced Mocha Latte on 8÷20÷11 and my 1st thought was«This place needs some HELP!». It was my 4th visit & I hadn’t remembered thinking that on any of my previous visits. But the cashier(a young college girl, I assume) was mind numbingly slow. Good Lord, the line(at this typically fast-paced, well-decorated, java joint with ample seating & power outlets) stretched back to the door. She was flitting about behind the counter getting cups, making coffee, all the while handing folks the wrong pastry, forgetting who even ordered a pastry, and NOT getting me my bev & ringing it up. Ugh. Meanwhile, the Barista was coolin. He’d fulfilled most if not all orders from the people in the growing line and in some cases delivered our drinks to us in line. He was helping frantic cashier by smiling and saying«gosh, I don’t know what’s going ON over there!» What was going on is cashier girl needed retraining at Starbucks Brew U. because having a long line at the register when bevs are waiting on the bar is not a core value.
