Both food quality and service are above average. The large bowls are filled with enough steak and the broth is good. Spring rolls are over-fried. Service is a bit slow.

I often come here once maybe twice when i visit. Coming from the west coast i enjoyed the pad thai and usually never disappoints. The other day it was a bit watery greasy. Wont stop me from coming though

After not coming here for a few years, I’ve been back to Phở Thom approximately once a month in the last several months. I’m glad that the food is still delicious even though they’ve got some competition on the Vietnamese food front now in College Park. Phở Thom is still consistently packed at dinner time on weekdays, which is a good sign of thriving business. I like their Thai food offerings better than the Vietnamese food offerings, and I tend to order Pad Kee Mao or Thai Fried Rice. Thai Fried Rice seems to be a little hit or miss on the spicy, since sometimes it comes spicy and sometimes it doesn’t. I’d prefer a bit of spicy, but at least the basil leaves carry quite a lot of flavor. The one thing that could be improved here is to hire another server, as service can be excruciatingly slow when the place is full. The servers are always rushing around, and I think there’s only one lady who works the register.

I usually go for their pad Thai but I opted for the lemongrass chicken today. Could’ve been marinated longer but still good for what it is!

Their food quality is great but service is mediocre at best. They are definitely understaffed, which makes it a less pleasant experience to dine here. Having said that, their pad kee Mao is really fantastic, noodles are the right consistency, pleasantly chewy, wok charred and not mushy at all. Curry noodles is another brilliant dish. They do not offer a vegetarian broth for te phở so I could not try it.

Love this place. Amazing food. The chicken phở and the garden rolls are my favorite. Excellent service. Spicy when asked for spicy. So many good dates have started here — it’s almost a good luck charm ;)

I’ve been here a handful of times, and they’re service has depreciated. It never was great, but now it is horrible. Yesterday, I called in an order. The young lady placed me on a brief hold while she helped another customer. I gave her my order and she said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrive 10−15minutes later. I walk in expecting it to be filled with people, but there were only 4 –5 groups of people there. I stood at the front for almost 10minutes before I had to walk myself to the back to ask one of the young ladies if she could help me. She said, yes and followed me back to the front. My food was sitting there and I made my payment. Not once did she apologize for not being in the front. This the first time something like this has happened. My wife won’t go there anymore and I think I’m planning to do the same. Good food, but horrible services. Phở tastes the same in my opinion, I’m sure you can find a better place close by.

I come here fairly regularly. Decent food and service. Prices are higher than the other phở place than the street phở d lite. The spring roll is mediocre but the summer roll is good. Now on to the main dish, the phở broth is decent, but it always feels like they use way too much msg in the dish. The brisket is tender and good and the noodles are fine. The portions are large and will definitely fill you up.

Vietnamese /Thai food in College Park that’s actually decent! You can pay for parking across the street and walk over. Ordered a small phở($ 7.95) and pad see ew with chicken to share with my friend! Phở was surprisingly decent. Broth was clean and refreshing and the noodles/meat were perfectly cooked. Pad see ew was really good, I would definitely recommend their Thai food! Their pad Thai is delicious as well. Their portion size is very generous! You definitely get your money worth. Friendly and quick service :) always around to fill up your water cup and bring out the check whenever you need it!

This is the only phở restaurant I’ve ever been to that serves a vegetarian phở, with tofu and everything, but in a beef broth. Actually everything has to be beef broth, the chicken, the pork, the beef; I’m not sure about the authenticity either because to me it seems like Vietnam main export is cow. The restaurant looks nice and all but I’m from DC, I know a carry out when I see it. Ppl are cool. Environment nice. But as a phở restaurant my girlfriend and I was disappointed.

Service here is so slow. It took 20 – 30 minutes just to order our food. We asked multiple waitresses if we could order and they kept saying yes then walking away. The food isn’t that great. Not very spicy and took a while to come out as well. We had to ask when we wanted our water refilled, and theb it was warm! Wouldn’t recommend this place.

4 stars for food but 1 stars for service. I’m actually reviewing as I wait for food. It has been over an hour. I’ve been a customer for as long as I’ve been a student and beyond. I had to waive down our waitress who ignored me the first time around and came back only to say that our food was coming. 5 minutes later, still no food. At least give us an estimate or something. Understaffed and waitstaff is mediocre at best. The spring rolls are good. Pad see yew, pad Thai, pad kee mao are all also solid choices. The phở is okay — pretty standard — but not one of their standout dishes. I understand that restaurants get busy Saturday nights but they shouldn’t be paying more attention to their to-go orders than their in house customers.

Oh man, I feel so bad. I thought I’d reviewed this place soon after it opened. Or maybe I thought, I’ll try it a few times to see what I think? Anyway, it means that for too long you were without my advice on Phở Thom: 1. Next time you’re near it, even if you aren’t hungry at that minute, get a menu. 2. Hang on to this menu because they are not online. 3. Order their food. 4. Eat it. 5. Repeat. 6. Maybe get a second menu because you’ll be really annoyed if you lose your menu. 7. Enjoy!

A great place in College Park if you want some good phở. Although this isn’t a 4star in NYC, it’s definitely a 4star relative to the other offerings in College Park. The restaurant itself is quite nice and one of the classier offerings in College Park, so it’s great for a date night or catching up with some friends. The service however, is a bit slow at times, but the food usually makes up for it. My favorite dishes to get are the Phở(relatively cheap, and much fresher compared to Phở D’lite), and the fried fish. As for the Thai offerings(such as the rice dishes etc.), I like to go to aroy thai around the corner.

In the past week, I have been to Phở Thom twice. I can’t believe I hadn’t been to this restaurant in all this time! The Pad Kee Mao is to die for! I had it both times. Once I requested it with bean spouts and once without. It’s delicious either way. I feel like I have discovered a hidden gem. I fancy Phở Tom so much! And the staff, they’re super nice people. I love the cozy feel, the people, and most importantly — the food. I’m happy, so happy with the food here! And oh — a lot of places don’t accept American Express but you need not worry. Phở Thom does in fact accept American Express. Woo!

A nice and cozy place situated in «downtown» college park. It has a bar-like setup where one can peer over the counter to watch the phở go through the works(for like 5 min). Thus, this place is fast serving, reliable customer service, and comparatively affordable relative to other local phở places. As for the phở, the broth is meaty and has flavor(personal preference) and comes with the assorted side of veggies i.e. bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil, etc. Will be back to sample the vermicelli and rice dishes! Check it out, a good lunch spot that consistently has a younger crowd during those peak hours! Cheers. –Matt

Clean, quick and fast service. Phở base soup is awesome, noodles were a bit tougher than most. However the portions are tiny especially since a large is $ 9. No parking either except a pay shopping lot across the street.

Boo Boo and I came here for a quick Lunch/Dinner before the Rutgers-Maryland game. We each got a bowl of phở and shared a beef over rice dish and iced coffee. They weren’t busy mainly due to Thanksgiving break I suppose. The food was averaged compared to other vietnamese places. I didn’t taste enough of the cinnamon, nutmeg, and anise flavor. But, the food came out hot and fast. I think we were very lucky that there’s a lot of restaurants nearby the campus. We were able to walk from the visitor’s parking lot. We were famished from the long bus ride from NJ to MD and this place hit the spot.
