It’s hard to come by a good barbershop in the area that has barbers that can cut and have a professional environment. I had spent about a month looking up different shops and trying out a few different barbers because I had a specific cut I was looking for. Faux-​hawk with a couple parts that outlined the hawk and it took until I came to see Steven at Main event before the cut was executed properly. It’s always best to know the cut you want and be able to explain that to the barber. If you have a picture even better. It’s location has parking available and the shop is open until 8 PM. They do have a terp special as well. I found myself a new barber.

If I could give, 0 stars I would. If you are white, DO NOT GO HERE. They will mess up your haircut on purpose because they are racist and don’t want you to look good. I say this because I have gotten haircuts here on multiple occasions, regrettably, and noticed that every time I went home, something was noticeably wrong with my haircut. To be specific, the last time I went there I asked for a #3 buzz cut all around, (top and side), and when I got home, I realized the barber gave me a 5 on the sides and a 3 on the top… I looked awful, and am certain this was done with purpose. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I took my husband and son here yesterday and they did a phenomenal job! My husband got a fade & edge up and my son got a under cut/​comb over. We will most definitely be returning!

I took my 3.5 yr old boy to Sheldon for a long overdue haircut and I was really happy with the results. Sheldon listens and performs well! I asked for an undercut and he did a great job! We are coming back here again.

Good place, it smells really nice inside. They did have sports discussions playing with a nice ambience. I didn’t book an appointment but I waited maybe 10 minutes. Steve was the one who did my hair, it came out excellent and I was very happy. I’ll be back there again no problem!

My husband gets his hair cut here regularly. They always do a great job and both my husband and I are happy with it. He says their pricing is very reasonable and have great walk in ability. He found his go to stop for getting a good hair cut. The only suggestion we had is having them include tip in their prices, as it makes it easier for customers.

This was my first time going to this establishment. I was a bit hesitant switching to a new barber shop but I was more than delighted. The environment is very clean and spacious. The staff members are very friendly and welcoming. They make a genuine attempt to get to know about you and ask many questions to make sure you get exactly what you want out of a hair cut. TVs all around with good music. All the barbers are skilled, the one I had was Sheldon. Great attention to detail and even a hot towel treatment. 5⁄5 starts. The price is great and a discount for University of Maryland Students.

Awesome place! Went in after eating at Phở Dlite all the time. Saw the shop, needed a haircut and boom went in. Steven cut my hair and I was very pleased with my final results. Also a fun guy to talk with. Also price can’t be beat. 15 dollars if you are a terp.

Nice place and good barbers. Harry cut my hair and I was very pleased with the job he did. As opposed to hair cuttery, the barbers at main event actually take the time to make sure you get a good haircut.
