Hmmm… I’ve been the duke of this place for some time, and I still haven’t reviewed it yet? That’s Lame. Well here goes: Now, obviously, I’d have to rate the downtown library as the best — there really isn’t another one with better selection. I think most would agree. However, I think this one would be ranked high up there. As a preface, I suppose I should say that I don’t check out books, at least not regularly(that’s what I use my tablet for). I typically, go to the library to see what movie selections they have available, and this branch has a great selection — a whole long whole full of movies &TV shows(I think they lack in documentaries or foreign films, but I’m not sure that anyone really checks those out anyways.) Every time I go in there, I walk to the«New Release» Table first, and I usually find a movie or two that I’ve been wanting to see. They are very good about getting new releases and there’s always a good selection when I go in. I would suggest going to this branch on Saturday morning when they open(I think that’s 10 am). Additionally, their TV on DVD selection is very extensive! The staff: they are friendly, of course. I rarely meet staff that isn’t at libraries. And be nice to them — some library goers go in, and expect perfection from the librarians and that they’ll get everything they want. It really bothers me that they treat librarians they way they do, especially when they are providing a service that’s free to customers.

This specific branch of the Cincinnati Public Library is a little on the small side. Maybe that comes from being spoiled by growing up by the Anderson branch, but there just isn’t much there. The staff are as helpful as can be and the reserve service works great there. If you’re unfamiliar with the reserve service, it allows you to «reserve» any book, cd, or dvd in circulation throughout the entire Cincinnati Public Library system and have it sent to the branch closest to you. If you are interested in using their computers you may want to arrive during school hours, because they are usually booked up after school lets out with students using them to check email and such.
