I don’t understand where the negative reviews are coming from for this spa. The staff is exceptional and my massage was top notch. The spa is immaculate and I felt completely at ease there. The owner couldn’t be any nicer to the clients. I really wish the negative comments for places like this would stop. Just angry people attempting to ruin hardworking small business owners for some sort of satisfaction. Thank you again Joanne and the great staff at Adamo! I will be back very soon

I hired Adamo Day Spa for my wedding makeup after a fantastic & smooth trial. I don’t wear makeup typically so I asked to look natural but also good — they did a great job. In contrast to other times I have had my makeup done e.g. for engagement pics, formal events — my face looked much nicer and more natural than ever before. My makeup also lasted easily 10 hours which is perfect for a wedding day, so I booked for myself, my 5 bridesmaids, and my mom. After a fiasco with the hair salon next door(they cancelled on me 1 month from the wedding), a contract hair dresser for Adamo Day Spa did a wonderful hair trial with me and was willing to come do all of our hair for the wedding day. On the day of I wore my hair half up with curls in it and they lasted almost the entire wedding(10 hours, 4 of which were outside in summer heat and wind). I was so happy with their work and would definitely recommend this team for weddings!

My experience at Adamo was very different than other reviews. Maybe things have been fixed? I don’t know, but I had a great time. I got the«red rock rejuvention» a spa combo, done by Joanne. The best part is I was not rushed at all and spent an entire 3 hours at the spa for $ 155 plus a good tip! I got there 30 minutes early because I haven’t been to Cohasset a lot so I left early, and she let me get in the steam shower before we started. I felt respected and treated politely when I went. It was quiet, they had plenty of water, tea, and even wine and some snacks(cheap cheese\crackers). My treatment included a body wrap so I wasn’t trying to be modest, but Joanne did her best to cover me. I used some disposable panties they gave me which are probably standard for body wraps(it was my first one) but they were skimpy and see-through so I don’t think they worked much! Run-through on why it my treatment was awesome: steam-shower, body exfoliation\light massage, mud application/heated body wrap, another stem-shower/shower, then a hot stone massage with lotion. To comment on other reviews: I thought the décor was nice\fine. I mean it wasn’t a spa at a five star hotel but I was relaxed and comfortable. The treatment room was dark, which was fine for me since my eyes were closed but I can see how some people would want some lighting. I would have to agree that if you have had injuries, this may not be the best place to get a massage. I have been to other spas where they have you fill out forms about prior injuries, etc. and I did not do that here, which is fine to me since I am young and with-out injuries. Overall, I’d definitley go back!

My wife is recovering from a spinal fusion and I had hip and sciatica pain, so we figured we’d try a couples massage. What a mistake! My wife’s masseuse spent the entire time complaining that they don’t do injury-related massages and she probably shouldn’t have taken on my wife. In the meantime, my masseuse spent less than 10 minutes of the hourlong appointment on my hip and sciatica, despite my repeatedly asking her to spent time on it. Afterward, she said that if I’d wanted more time spent on that, I should have booked the 90-minute massage. I guess if you’re healthy and you just want a rub-down, they’d be serviceable, but if you require a therapeutic massage, you should find a more qualified professional.

Dont’ go here. they are so rude to their clientele… degrading and insensitive. Don’t waste your money on this lousy spa. You will get much more bang for you buck at any other spa!

Just gave this place a 2nd try after a very questionable 1st experience and we have just sealed the deal that ill never go back. The first time I went here was to get my make up done for my vow renewal. The owner was very upset that I didn’t tell her I was a bride so that she could charge me more and quickly told the front desk to change it to «bridal makeup» — what difference does that make? Well, extra sweepy motions while applying your make up I guess, and taking forever for something I couldve done myself. I digress. The artist asked me what I would like and everything I said she said she would do the opposite. For a minute I though I was on a hidden camera tv show!!! «I want to look like myself and I wear all black eye make up» «ok lets do nice natural earth tones» or «I dont want color on my lips» «great, we’ll do raspberry» the other girl working on my mom was actually laughing at the absurdity of our conversation. The owner only took time out of this to bicker with the receptionist(her relative) about her car troubles, the whole time we were there! Im sorry what a nice«wedding experience» I’m paying for to learn how much your tune up should cost and how maybe the owner can get free parts out of one of her other employees(bc her father owns an auto shop) if given enough time to hound her. That gave a us a warm fuzzy feeling! The best part of this was when she got glue in my eye while applying my eyelashes. I jumped up in horrible pain and couldn’t even open my eye because she had glued it shut. I washed it out with water and thankfully it was ok, maybe it’s an easy mistake to make but she was totally unapologetic. One would think that would be enough to keep me away for good but I got a gift certificate so I figured I would use it for a facial treatment. I got the owner again and hoped she was having an off day last time and all would go well. I paid for 30 minutes of treatment, well it was more like 10 minutes of treatment and then a peel off mask that i sat in the dark in for 20 minutes. Then, she came back and washed it off and started rubbing some brush all over my eyes, I had no idea what she was doing but just let her go, next she put some cream on my face and told me I was all set. As someone mentioned before I turned on the light when she left and found a dirty looking room and that what ever was on my face wasn’t rubbed in and I would’ve looked crazy if I had left and continued my day. Oh well I figured, the treatment was OK, not a loss. Now it 7 hours later and my eye is sore and swelling up like by the hour thanks to the dirty brush she rubbed on my eyes. Now I am sure that I will stay away from this place.

I was very sad when my usual facial person left, but Adamo does give excellent personal service. I recently needed a therapeutic massage and Addie did an awesome job! Thanks Adamo!

To each his own but I like my spas to have a relaxing, soothing atmosphere, which Adamo definitely has. I love the earth tones and adorable decorations. Sterile and bright is great for the doctor’s office but not when I go for a spa treatment. After a hectic day there’s nothing better than getting a relaxing massage in a tranquil environment where it’s easy to unwind. I’ve always found Adamo to be squeaky clean with an excellent array of services and products. The owner Joanne is professional, personable and passionate about her trade.
