This is the second time that my wife has purchased what Tim’s sells as Prime cuts of beef. They are simply not that. They’re actually bordering select grade. I have purchased good prime cuts here before but I feel they are willing to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. We will no longer be making any purchases from this establishment.

Had a horrible experience with customer service with wild game. I understand that butchers don’t like hunters, but when I try to be kind I would appreciate kindness in return.

This year unfortunately I didn’t have any time to butcher the deer I shot. I figured I would bring it somewhere to get butchered. The wait was pretty long. I dropped the deer off at the end of November and it wasn’t ready till the beginning of January. The summer sausage that they made me is absolutely perfect! I also got 10 pounds of jerky which is freakin awesome! After reading the reviews I was a little scared to try it but im glad I did. I will recommend.

I have bought pork butt roasts from Tim’s and had them smoked by Tim, twice over the past 4 – 5 years and they have been nothing short of amazing! I took them home & shredded them myself. I couldn’t add BBQ sauce, they were just too good!(I left that to each of my guests’s discretion & taste!) I also bought a prime rib from Tim for Christmas dinner several years ago and it was fabulous. I live out of state but when I come to CDA to visit my daughter and her family, and there’s an occasion, we count on Tim. Next time we go, I will have him cook the rib roast, that’s the only thing I would change! From my experience, Tim gets 5 starts!!! :-)

This is where I get my steak. Tim has the butcher from the old YJ foods. It is worth the trip.

I’m so frustrated with the quality of meat here! One day it’s great in every way, but more often than not lately, the chicken is already turning bad when I take it out of the package when I get home. Tonight was just the case. I bought three whole chicken breasts for tonight and the weekend, but when I opened them up to cook and re-wrap in butcher paper(because for some reason they put the chicken in a plastic bag and not just the paper), I could instantly smell them turning. So, needless to say, I ended cooking all of them tonight. I don’t know if it’s pure laziness or sheer greed, but either way I’ve had it with Tim’s. Granted, I’ve only had issues with their chicken, but not checking on the quality of their product is inexcusable.

My brother and I found this place purely by accident during a recent weekend adventure. Positives: totally not PC in any way, shape or form, a huge selection of meat, game and fish including buffalo jerky, and elk salami, great beer selection, barbecue sauces, and the willingness to host amateur barbecue competitions in the parking lot. Negatives: their prices be a little steep. But let me mention what clinched that coveted fourth star: the samples. It may have just been because of the barbecue competition, but they were handing out samples inside the store, and not those little cubes of cheese on sticks. FULLSIZEDRIBSANDCHICKENLEGS. My brother was in meat heaven and I was so overwhelmed I bought a t-shirt with their logo(a dead cow with it’s feet in the air) specifically for my plane ride home to San Francisco. Hell ya, I’m going back.

Don’t buy your meat there! Their t-bones have virutally NO tenderoin on them at $ 10.99 a lb! My wife brought these home(I still love her) … and they are an abomination of the bovine culinary art genre! It is essentially a bone in new york… you’ll be disappointed. Also, as you check out, you can enjoy the Obama defamation notice over their counter… it say, «Electing Obama as president is like hiring a Vegan to run a slaughterhouse». First rate, huh… North Idaho can keep em along with their skinheads… on sale for $ 4.99 a lb…
