My first gas credit card in 1988 was Texaco all of a sudden one day in the mail they sent me a shell credit card and it seemed as though all of the Texaco gas stations were being weeded out. This by far is my favorite Shell gas station. I know everyone that works here because I’ve been coming here the last 5 years since I moved to Coconut Creek. They have a great car wash and the store is always very clean. I like the fact that when I walk in I’m always greeted and always feel welcome. I don’t have anything against any of the other stations I guess I don’t frequent them because I don’t have any credit cards for them. Shell gas card I own. And I’m going to keep it that way.

I stopped here for gas on my way back to Orlando. After filling up my car, I pulled up to park to go to the ladies room and to purchase a drink and snacks for the trip back home. I walked in the store and asked the young lady behind the counter is there a key for the restroom. She was short and stated the ladies room was out of order. Then I asked her about the men’s restroom; she said that restroom was out of order as well. I just couldn’t believe«both» restrooms were out of order. Especially with this gas station being at the exit right off the turnpike. I was just shocked. I was not impressed with the young lady’s customer service. She appeared to be bothered that someone, a paying customer, would actually want to purchase something other than gas. With that attitude, I decided I wouldn’t make the purchase of a drink and snacks I really wanted. I really like Shell because it’s always clean and the people behind the counter are friendly. Well at least the ones in Orlando are. I hope other Shell stations outside of Orlando aren’t like that. I’m giving two stars.

Nice area. Clean pumps and easy to use. Diesel available at every pump via a separate hose so it’s hard to confuse them. Don’t know what else to say except: damn, this place gave me gas!

I don’t think I have ever written a review about a gas station before, but this one deserves a review. I come to this gas station pretty much every time I pick up coffee from my favorite Starbucks. They are next door to each other, so it is a given. It is a pretty standard gas station. The employees are always friendly and professional. Decent, clean and the vacuum always works also. I have never used the car wash at this location until this past Saturday because I am about to trade the GTI *insert sad face* out for something that responsible adults with children should be driving, not a 6-speed manual, turbo powered sporty-ish car. Seriously, though, I’m doing the right thing. Anyway, the car was filthy and needed a quick wash. I ran into the store to pay for the car wash because I wasn’t certain if I could pay for it at the machine. Since I didn’t want to pull up to the machine more than once, I paid for it first. Smart right? Ha, wrong! I pull up behind a guy in a white Toyota Tacoma. He waved his hands at the machine as though to say,“What are you doing? Seriously?” I chuckled as I shook my head at him thinking that waving his hands at the machine wouldn’t get it to work. He becomes frustrated and drives through. I drive up and find that the machine has become frozen and won’t allow you to choose your option. I tried holding the cancel button and pushed whatever I could to no avail. I drive back to the front of the gas station because I am determined to have the car washed. It really needed it and I’m too busy(aka lazy) to do it myself. Gabriel, the store manager, comes out to address our concerns. The other guy didn’t want to hang around, so he received a refund and left. The manager had me meet him at the entrance to the car wash where he tried resetting the system, but it wasn’t the car wash itself with the issue. He needed to reset the payment box. So he ran back inside, grabbed the key and came back. Finally, he reset the machine and it was good to go. He gave me a complimentary car wash for future use for the inconvenience. He also let me know that if you buy five car washes, bring the receipts in, then the next one is free. I also came across Gabriel today as I was making a purchase. He offered free samples of their coffee, however I didn’t have the heart to tell him I was running next door to Starbucks for some brew. I politely declined. Either way, he was just as friendly and welcoming as he was when I had an issue, which is reassuring because not all managers are like that. Clean store, polite staff and a manager who problem solves with a smile and without an attitude = excellent in my book.
