Really delicious British food. We had Shephard pie and sausage and chips. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service is outstanding. Friendly servers and owner suggested new sauces. We’ll be back for sure. I don’t drink, but the drinks are cheap with long happy hour times.

The staff couldn’t be nicer. Southern hospitality at its finest! We had the curried shrimp with cucumbers and rice. Omg cooked to perfection! So satisfying and totally delicious. The Guinness was as good as it gets, and my companion knows his craft beer.

Excellent atmosphere and décor, and we would have gone with 5 stars, but got off to a rough start with a waitress that must have had a long day and was a bit on the rude side. Another friendly and very helpful waitress took over and saved the experience. I have a tendency to want to see what’s stocked behind the bar before making a drink order, and the bartender was extremely nice and made several recommendations from her different bourbons. The cod was apparently very good, and while the shepherds pie was also good, the potatoes almost seemed like they were from a box. All in all, a good experience though.

I love fish and chips. At restaurants, however, I rarely order this dish because they are often overly greasy and the coating is usually limp and coming off the fish. Not so at the Pig and Whistle! The fish in their fish and chips was not only coated in a beer batter, it was then dredged in panko bread crumbs, resulting in a deliciously moist fish and a crisp coating. The fish was haddock, slightly firmer and more flavorful than cod, and my honey and I could have easily eaten another giant portion of fish, each. There were several things I liked about Pig and Whistle. They are dog-friendly, with fresh water provided for pups on the patio. Our waitress was obviously proud of the place, telling us about the owner coming in every morning to make the beer batter and other dishes himself. I also liked that our waitress recommended other things on the menu we might like…“the owner makes the BEST hot mustard! You’ve gotta try it!” Which got us to order a sausage roll so we could try the definitely delicious mustard. We tipped our waitress well, because our experience would not have been the same without her friendly enthusiasm. But even if we had not benefitted from her advice one thing would have been very clear: the fish was the bomb :-)

My boyfriend stopped in here on christmas day and had our minds blown! We say out on the patio and enjoyed the scenery and weather. We both ordered the cod and chips. It comes with smushed peas, coleslaw, and a piece of bread. Everything was good, but the fish was out of this world. We both agreed it was the best fish weve had anywhere in the entire county. You get this huge thick piece of white flaky cod fried perfectly. Outstanding. If you love a good fish and chips, this is 100% where you need to come. The wait staff was great. Kept our waters constantly filled. This place is amazing.

Just awesome food and service. Place smells strong when you walk in of fish, but it is a seafood place. I ordered the clam strips and they were delicious. The rest of my table had the haddock, shrimp and pot pie, they all loves their dishes as well. The place looks like a hole in the wall bar from outside and has that same feel inside. But they do keep it clean, the staff is super quick, friendly and very attentive, especially on this Christmas Day dinner. This will definitely be a must stop at place every time I come back to the area. Keep up the good work guys! You’ve got something delicious and perfect going on. I want to see this place here for many more years to come.

Great atmosphere! I had one of the specials, Fisherman’s Pie, which our amazing server, Nicole recommended. Excellent food, service, and although I didn’t drink, they have a full bar with lots of drink specials. Seems like suitable a place for couples, families, or business. Will definitely be back.

This is a nice English pub to go to and watch sports or just hang out. The TVs are not as big as we would like, but there are several and no matter where you sit, you aren’t too far away. Staff was friendly, bartender was good. Drinks were priced fair and the food was good.

Visiting the area from out of state. Stopped in for dinner, my husband and I both had Lobster Bisque, Grilled Shrimp with salad. It was delicious! We would go back. All the food looked amazing as it was coming out of the kitchen. The service was quick and very pleasant! The prices were very reasonable!

First time here… We will definitely be back! We had the burgers and they were big and juicy. Perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and fresh. Ordered a side salad and it was practically a meal in itself. Great pub atmosphere. Service was awesome. Water refilled right away. Friendly servers. The only drawback was there wasn’t a kid’s menu. But we kid two kids so they split a burger and fries and it was still plenty of food for both! Prices were great too. Can’t wait to come back for the fish & chips! BTW… Burgers are $ 6.99 on Wednesdays!

Update. Although food and staff are great. The owner was behind the bar and she has zero personality and threw our plates at us. Lighten up and your business would double. Smile!!!

This is a nice little pub. The sausage roll was amazing :) made me miss home! The chicken tenders were very tender and the fish and chips were moist and flakey. 4⁄5 would recommend. I’ll definitely go back.

Had the clam basket. It was very good. Came with a side of fries which I substituted for a very interesting house salad. Ice-T is unsweetened only. The music is a little loud but the service is very good. Not many for a weekday lunch. Interesting and comfortable interior. Decorated in the true British style

While traveling south on A1A and looking for a place for lunch, I wheeled into the Pig & Whistle on a whim, before checking out the Unilocal ratings. After doing the Unilocal check, we went inside to sit anywhere. Prompt service for drink order and then solid food. We ordered the Clam Strips and the special Haddock and Chips. Meal was served up fast and very tasty. The Haddock was a very large piece sitting atop the chips. I usually like a lot of tartar sauce with my fried fish, but the Haddock was so wonderful that I cut back on the tartar sauce. Clam Strips were tender and moist. We both enjoyed the chips/french fries as none were left at the end of our meal. Enough food for us, so no dessert. Nice clean establishment with bar in the center and TV screens all around showing all kind of sports, emphasis on soccer. Recommended.

I stopped in to The Pig & Whistle with a friend for dinner and drinks last Saturday night. I really like the vibe. The outside of the building looks like an English cottage. The inside looks like a dive bar/pub. I ordered a pint of Angry Orchard and the Haddock and Chips with mushy peas. The fish was huge, crisp, fried to perfection. Light and flaky. The fries were standard/average pub fries, pretty good. The mushy peas I could have left out. It was exactly what it sounds like, a jello shooter cup full of mushed peas. I thought $ 12.25 for the entrée was a great price, but $ 6 for my Angry Orchard draft was NUTS! I have NEVER paid more than $ 4 for a draft, that is just too much. I definitely didn’t have seconds. Definitely a place worth checking out, but check on their drink prices before you order!
