I would give this organization zero stars, but that is not allowed. DO NOT buy insurance from Nationwide, and especially DO NOT buy insurance from this office. I purchased auto insurance in October of 2013 that was to cover a span of 6 months. EVERY month, something was wrong or a problem, ranging from rate increases to being cancelled due to their clerical error. EVERY month I was on the phone, or sending e-​mail to this office. Auto insurance should not require that much work.
In a moment of insanity (and before I discovered the bad auto insurance trend), I purchased 6 months of renter’s insurance beginning December 2013. I paid cash for the 6 month policy, in advance. 6 months go by and in the meantime, I have purchased a house and no longer need renter’s insurance. In July I receive a bill indicating that they (on their own) continued my renter’s policy and now owe them money. The problems with the auto insurance have occurred (mostly) during the 6 month overlap.
Needless to say, I refuse to pay for insurance that I did not request, and did not need. Today I received a letter from a collection agency for the «outstanding» bill. Please save yourself the headache and buy your insurance products elsewhere.
