There is a sandwich, I think called the«Nancy’s pistrami sandwich«and I keep going back for that same sandwich. If you’re into pastrami sandwiches, try it. You won’t be disappointed.

an amazing little hide away tucked in the center of the Historic Coarsegold Village. Portions are huge, and the breakfasts are wonderful! My favorite is the breakfast bowl, and our favorite waitress Janelle always makes sure that its just the right amount for me. If we’re ever wanting something other than what’s on the menu, she makes suggestions and they can do pretty much anything you ask for. This is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel at home. The owner, Becky, is usually there to say hi, and makes you feel so welcome. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun place to stop for breakfast or lunch ;-)

Just about everything is homemade. My husband and son had the chicken fried steak breakfast. It was the perfect size and the gravy was amazing. I had the Carol’s salad, just a simple salad with sliced almonds, cranberries, and mandarin oranges on lettuce. It was good and the ginger dressing it came with was very very good. The owner was sweet and the service was good. I’d definitely go back.

Great breakfast! Everything is homemade from scratch. The chicken fried steak was huge and could be split with someone else. Bacon was thick and the hash browns were fresh. Highly recommend

Loved sitting on the patio in the warm morning sunshine eating a hearty breakfast. The bacon is how bacon should be – think and not overcooked. The country potatoes were delicious as was everything else. Service was excellent.

Breakfast was great with the hash browns actually being brown. Restaurant is small, but the food and service more than make up the difference. Price is better than most breakfast spots in Oakhurst area. Won’t disappoint.

Just moved to the area and we were so excited to find this spot. The pancakes were amazing and fluffy, the French toast was delicious and a huge potion, the breakfast burrito was filled with all sorts of goodies, and the breakfast bowl had everything in it I wanted to try on the menu. The biscuits and gravy in my breakfast bowl were so yummy, the gravy was creamy and rich and the homemade biscuit didn’t last long. We will definitely be coming here again, the lunch menu looked great too, will have to try it!

Stopped in for late Sunday breakfast on the way to sequoia from Yosemite. Traditional breakfast. Pancakes, waffle, eggs, etc. Outside sitting and great customer service. Biscuits are great.

Very good food, very small location though. had the miner omelette, combo of veggy and meat products with sweet type chili beans. interesting contrast, after the fact, I should have asked for salsa to cut the sweet of the beans a bit. xtra friendly service, fair prices. old fashion pancakes too! hope to go back soon!

Good service but the food is terrible. I will try again at some point because it’s a local business. Hopefully the food gets better.

My family stopped for lunch on our way to Yosemite. Having lived in LA for over two decades, my taste buds have grown very hard to please over the years, but this little café with only four tables served a menu of reasonably priced American food that was quite surprisingly satisfactory. I had a chicken pasta salad and my daughter mushroom burger with the beans. Everything was good, including the beans. Now, this isn’t a restaurant inside a five-star hotel, so don’t expect that kind of quality when I say«good.» Service was prompt, and waitresses/owners? were extremely pleasant and courteous. I would definitely revisit this restaurant next time I’m in the neighborhood.

Everything at the foot of the Yosemite entrance seems to have a 4 star or better. Why? How? Is it because they have fresh ingredients bring so close to wilderness? Nope. All the places we ate at got 4 stars but in reality were more 3 star worthy venues. The only real explanation seems to be hungry people leaving a major camping area will think anything they eat is 5 star after being stuck in the wild. That being said, this place seemed like a great place in the pictures and turned out to be more of a so-so selection. I had the Reuben sandwich and it had sauerkraut, mustard and pickles on sourdough. It definitely seemed like a sandwich I could’ve made better myself. There were lots of photos of veterans so I’m guessing it is a biker/service veteran grub stop. Next time I’m heading up to Yosemite I’ll probably skip dinner here as the menu was also very limited. If you find yourself in Coarsegold sometime, wait ’til you get to Oakhurst it’s the next town over and the ratings seem more accurate. Like a Denny’s with a star and a half. Side note, Coarsegold is known for hosting tarantula mating season!

We stopped by to meet some friends after a long day of riding motorcycles and eat dinner. Just as we sat down the live music starting(great treat but a bit too loud for friendly conversation). The outdoor atmosphere was great and the food delicious. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I would recommend and will return(local). Live music(Friday and Saturday) through September.
