Mai’s Nails

Not a good week for service for this salon. Decent service is determined by whether the manager on duty is a male or female. Very Sad! This week, I arrived an hour before closing on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday an the shop had closed by 7pm instead of scheduled time on the door sign at 8pm. However Thursday night the male manager on duty stop taking customers at 645pm and non-​chalantly recommended I come back tomorrow. The shop is in my neighborhood and I rushed from working in the city for 25 miles to arrive on time for a fill_​in to receive rude service! :(mean people with bad customer service,

This place is horrible. We went here because my sister’s friend recommended the place. I got a mani pedi that I regret. The man doing my feet was sweet but when I asked him to put a cream glaze color for my French base instead of the pink, he started applying it sideways and he got it on the white tip. They took it off and a younger girl gave it a whirl. However she can’t draw a straight line and has no clue on how to clean it up with nail polish remover. She then went on to butcher my nails. I had a shape I liked from my regular place in LA. I told her just add color. Then she starts filing on my pinky nail. Well then it was misshapen and didn’t match my other nails. So I asked her to fix my other nails slightly and she butchered them. I actually had to take the file from her and try to rectify the situation. The mani and pedi look worse than if I did them myself. I’m upset my mother wasted her money on treating us. Also the salon instruments don’t look very sanitary. The young woman also asked me how many nail salons had I been to because I was so picky with my nails. I was nothing but polite but now I would like to say I’ve been to enough places to know that this hole in the wall is extremely sub par service and quality. AVOID!!!
