We like this place okay. The food is good! Sometimes what we have ordered had been a bit bland. The restaurant is in a convenient location. If I’m heading that way I may stop. It’s not someplace that I would necessarily go out of my way for since ½ of my family likes it and the other ½ not so much.

I’m so happy to finally find a good Mexican spot near my home, I’ve been on this mission for 2 years. I ordered the mini burrito and the sombrero. They both had bacon in them and they were both soooooooo good! Oh & the blue margarita was perfection!

Delicious as usual. I’ve always been a fan of El Cortez since they were in Blue Island. So, I’ve tried many dishes and enjoyed all of them. I really, really like their chips and salsa– not too greasy or spicy. I’ve went to both locations now, and prefer the atmosphere in Country Club Hills. It’s less of a cafeteria feel… As long as you sit in the bar section or their outdoor patio.
Our waitress last night was excellent! She meant business– attentive, to the point, and cordial. Good stuff.

El Cortez is a great place to go and have a margarita and get to munch on chips and salsa at the same time! The drinks there are great and the service is good too! Most often I go to El Cortez with a group of girls to get margaritas. Every once and awhile I get dinner from there and I cannot complain about the food at all. I will definitely go back!
