If you live in Clovis long enough you come to expect crummy service from everyone. Kelly’s is no different. It was not an incredibly busy Weds night, but it still took them 20 min to clean off our table, after we sat down at it. I tried to order the avocado, bacon Swiss burger. The waitress asked if I wanted mushrooms. I said sure, and she brought me the mushroom Swiss burger instead. My friend ordered a glass of Pinot, and she received a glass of champagne(which wasn’t even on their wine menu). My wife wanted water and it took some prooding of the waitress to bring her water. The food itself is so-so. The bartender had really quick service and the live music wasn’t deafeningly loud, but the other gaffes with underachieving food more than outweigh these lone two positives.

Was here in clovis for a short time. The place was absolutely confusing. The front of the establishment is not the entrance so my crew and I walked around the parking lot looking for the entrance. There is a 3 dollar cover that you have to pay again if you leave the bar to take an important phone call. Music of choice here is country only. Food menu was all over the place. Waitress that took my order completely messed up my order and tried her damndest take make it my fault that I ordered what I was given. For the record I was not given what I was ordered. Food overall was what you would expect from an owner that about getting money out your pockets, instead of giving you an awesome experience so you want to spent more money. Waited 5 minutes for menu. The fastest service I got was from the bar to get a bottle of beer. My friend ordered a prime rib sandwich and got a shaved beef sandwich. This establishment needs to install standards and bring their accuracy up. Overall… I would NEVER come back here again.

The food was quite mediocre as was the service. We spent 2 hours in waiting alone. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I was spending a couple weeks in Clovis and was looking for a good bar that I could get a bite at after work Friday Night. Well as luck would have it, they were having a prime rib special. A small(8oz) prime with a baked potato, salad and biscuit for something like $ 15. The potato was very good, loaded proper with all the fixings, and the steak, while small, was very flavorful. I got to enjoy a beer while watching some very interesting dancing, and even got invited by a young lady to dance myself. For being the only bar in town, it does it well.

My wife and I went by the other day to check it out. Her food was decent, but my burger just wasn’t that good. The fries were delicious though. We had the bacon cheese fries for an appetizer and they were great. I will probably order those to go at some point. The rest of the food was just mediocre at best though.

This place is filthy. Sticky tables, sticky chairs, dirty cups and a bathroom that looks like a barn stable and reaks of bleach. Food here isn’t that great, and neither are the drinks. Service is horrible as well. Unless you are a regular there, don’t plan on getting your food or drinks right away. I came there with a party of 6 and we kept having to walk over to ask our waitress for beers. It got to the point where we just got up and walked to the bar to get them and brought it back to our table. Super country/farmish/military atmosphere. If you have ever watched Army Wives, this place is Clovis, NM’s version of the Hump Bar.

I was asked to leave on my 21st birthday because my ID was vertical and not horizontal. I will never return to Kelleys.

Just ate at Kelly’s, ordered the Smothered Rib Eye, ordered Medium Rare, menu stated smothered with Swiss Cheese, it is processed cheese out of a wrapper, just like american cheese, which OK on a burger, not a Rib Eye. Believe they serve it smothered to hide the gristle and fat. Beer selection is very limited, I will not go back.

We went here to shoot some pool and drink a couple beers on a Saturday evening. We were a little skeptical since a lot of the reviews talked about bad service and sometimes attracting a rough crowd. Our experience did not reflect what the reviews warned about. The waitress immediately came over to the pool tables and too our drink orders. The three pool tables were in good shape for a bar, although the cue selection was pretty bad. After playing pool we sat down and order a couple burgers. Once again, the waitress was prompt, our food came quickly, and the burgers were rather good. It was a pleasant surprise and I would grab a beer here again if I didn’t live 1,200 miles away.

It’s a bar that serves up some pretty decent food. Was blown away by their green chili cheeseburgers and french fries. Not a bad place to go for lunch or after work. They have mostly domestic beers on tap, but they are cold and tasty. They just got Sam Adams Boston Lager on tap! Seniors and Military discounts.

They have the BEST food! …And I was very surprised because walking in this dive bar it is not what you expect… I eat there at least once a week for lunch — by far the BEST French Dip Sandwich made. Perfect soft and chewy bun, melty swiss cheese, perfect amount of meat, au jus is amazing, potato wedges are perfectly fried! SOGOOD.

Forget that this place is the only bar in town. Who cares if there is hardly any place to sit and it is load as hell on a friday night and that they only play country music. This is one of the best damn bars I have ever been to. Yes it is a bit of a dive bar compared to the bars I am used to in Denver but the beer is ice cold and cheap and you will never have a burger like the green chili burger they serve at Kelley’s. I fell head over heals in love with Kelley’s Bar & Grill because of that Green Chili burger. The perfect amount of spice, the perfect temperature of the meat and oh so juicy and moist. It was hands down in my top 10 best burgers of my entire life. If you are looking for an inexpensive and down right good meal with an ice cold beer then Kelley’s is your spot!

On a scorching New Mexico day, Kelley’s provides a cool inviting atmosphere. The AC is blowing inside and the patio has umbrellas on the picnic tables and misting fans. After reading the reviews, I was expecting to last a whole 15 minutes due to smoke. But to my surprise, I did not find evidence that this was a smoking establishment. No doubt that the Monday night I stopped in is not what you would find on a Saturday night when the dance floor is probably getting some use and bands are performing. I walked in to find locals sitting at the bar and congregating in one general section of Kelley’s large bar & grill. There are several pool tables behind a wall near the dance floor. The menu was huge and of course had a green chili cheeseburger(NM is big on green chili as chilies are a large crop there). The menu is four pages long and offers fried everything, Mexican food, sandwiches, soups and salads. I ordered a glass of wine which the waitress inquired from the bartender if it was box. The bartender yelled out(unsolicited) «Not sure if this is any good but it has a cork». I replied that was fine. The wine gave me a headache, but not knowing if it was a $ 5 glass or a $ 10, I drank it anyways. The bill came and it was only $ 4. Think I will get vodka or rum if there is a next time. The staff was friendly enough, it was clean, smoke free and had a variety of food. If this was anywhere else, I probably would have given it two stars, but to be honest, it is one of three bars in town and I was just happy to find a place that was open where I could grab a drink.

Ive been to many different bars all over the world and the US… for the location, this is the best bar you can go to… the one everyone comes to. Its smoky filled with Marlboros and Newports… I guess this is the hotspot for the weekend… i

Clovis doesn’t exactly offer a vast array of choices for nightlife. For many people, it’s between Clovis City Limits and Kelley’s. I prefer Kelley’s because you can almost always get a table and you don’t feel like an outcast if you don’t dance. The food here isn’t great, but it’s consistent and better than most bar food. Apparently it attracts a large lunch crowd, but I’ve only been at night and ordered appetizers. I highly recommend the queso though — the green chilies add an unusual kick. Depending on what night you go the crowd varies. I’ve seen everything from birthday parties early on in the evening to drunk barely-over-21 kids to couples whirling around to the DJ spinning Garth Brooks. They also offer a decent TV watching experience for you sports fans looking to catch the game. Kelley’s is what you make of it: You can sit at a corner table and watch everyone else with a Budweiser in hand, or you can jump in the action and shake your thing on the dance floor. Either is perfectly okay and you’re bound to not be the only one doing it. Just beware, on weekends they charge a cover and you’ll get wanded with a metal detector at the door. I don’t why they started doing this recently, but I’m probably better off not knowing. Eep!
