I was a little hesitate about staying here as the hotel told me that they were located near the railroad tracks. I was only going to stay a few days and thought I try it out. I heard the train several times throughout the hours but when it was time to sleep, the train noise was longer noticed and I couldn’t believe how quiet it was during the day when I had to sleep. The front desk staff was always friendly and I was pleased with the hotel.

I was stuck in Clovis last night and was fortunate to have found a room here. The city was in part of the area covered by New Mexico’s state of emergency after some insane blizzards. After the NM National Guard literally rescued and dropped my girlfriend and I at the hotel, our patience had been tested and we just wanted warmth. The staff was light, and the hotel was packed. The manager, Misty had been working for over 24 hours when we showed up, and was still accommodating to get us to our room. The only other employee there, the maintenance tech, gave us multiple bottles of water and opened up the kitchen to make some of their breakfast food for us. at 8pm. Our room was perfect, no cleanliness issues at all, no broken appliances or issues in the slightest. The employees here went above and beyond to help the people stranded in their town. We were able to leave this morning, and Misty was still there, keeping this place and the guests moving. I could not feel more grateful to have been able to find this room here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone stopping in Clovis.

Great hotel to stop after a long road trip. Very clean! Don’t get discourage about the train tracks… You hardly can hear it. I know Clovis is not a vacation place but it is a peaceful place and great stop.

This is Review is being written after our 3rd or 4th stay at this hotel. Overall, we like this hotel and think this place is fine for this price point. You can pay more and stay downtown/uptown(aka AWAY from the Railroad tracks) if you want. For us, we always travel with a turbo-fan — so outside noises at hotels are never an issue. I find this hotel(rooms, breakfast, and indoor pool/hot-tub) to be very clean and the staff is very friendly! We had no issue with their WiFi connectivity or speed for our amount of browsing/yelping/FB. They have a great warm complimentary breakfast and the family enjoyed fresh fruit, bagels, english muffins, hash browns, waffles and eggs. This morning, the eggs were mixed with sausage and finely chopped red and green peppers = yum! My wife enjoyed the oatmeal with chopped almonds, cranberries/raisens and turbinado sugar. We both liked their regular and robust coffees which is REQUIRED to start our day off right when travelling with our two kids. *Don’t forget to ask for the AAA or AARP rates — which knocks off about $ 5 – 6 bucks off per night and go to Walmart and get yourself a turbofan!

Still a decent place to stay, but the incredibly slow internet(½ Mb per second download and ¼ Mb per second upload speeds) made it tough to get any work done.

Bed was comfy. Staff courteous. Very loud train every 30 min. Fairfield Inn is away from the tracks. Breakfast was awful. Batter for waffles is gross. Eggs were worse.(Powdery substance in clumps). Orange juice was out, apple juice watered down, and when I went to get a boxed cereal I could trust, there were no spoons to eat it with. Settled for a bagel which was fine. Coffee was decent and fresh. Would not stay here again.

The rooms are nice and very clean. Everything has a «new» smell to it. The only down side is that there is a train that goes by pretty regularly. Although, if your not in one of the rooms on the front of the hotel then it’s not a problem. Downside: Really, really, really slow internet.
