We have lived here 6 months and this is the first restaurant in town that we’ve walked away from raving about its excellence! The décor is funky and fun, service is quick and friendly, food is delicious and well-​priced. We had almost given up hope on Clovis restaurants but are thrilled instead to find this gem. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Waitstaff has improved! Ive actually found their green chili stew meat so good I have to smother it on everything (during breakfast) or just order a bowl. My whole fam enjoys it. Have tried their lunch and burgers are pretty good. considering i dont normally ear burgers but to my hubbys recommendation i did. Parking is now roomier since theyve cleared the lot beside them… will you be paving? All in all much better since my first review.

I want to reiterate the awesomeness of this place. My husband and I were visiting Clovis and decided to get something to go on the way out. My husband chose wisely and got the all meat breakfast burrito and I got the chorizo with green chilis burrito. WOW WOW WOW. The burritos were huge and full of flavor. We will be coming back!

I had the day off, my oldest at school, younger son at daycare, and husband at work. I decided to have an impromptu girls day with my 7 mo daughter. Didn’t feel like cooking because I needed a break, so I asked google, «What is the best place for breakfast in Clovis?» This was not the first place listed, but it did have the most stars. I’ve been here for almost 5 years and have always wanted to go try it because it’s a small town, might as well try everything before being entirely bored of it. It’s small and quaint, but that is definitely part of the charm. You can tell it’s a favorite of the locals because they piled in and the waitresses knew them. The waitresses were also extremely friendly. Got the Mexican omelet with pappitas and wheat toast. The omelet hit the spot, but you can tell that the papitas might have freezer burn. I can get past that because, really, I shouldn’t be eating them (tell no one). Overall, I love the building and the omelet. Recommended 100%

Best breakfast! My husband and I love this place! We’ve never had a problem with the service or food.

Ate breakfast here, it was OK… Nothing special. The prices i felt were reasonable, bought a Mexican omelet for myself and huevos rancheros for a friend :)
It was good, it wasn’t bad, just OK. I’ll have to try lunch and dinner and update the review.
The place is a converted house so i can imagine it would get quite tight.

Is it possible to give this place one more star for THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN CLOVIS! I was sincerely blown away at the warmth and charm of not just the place but the staff. Every staff member we came in contact with and others I was just observing with other tables appeared to be genuine and happy. They appeared have pride in the business and in themselves. So wonderful to find a gem like this here in Clovis.
The food portions were perfect and the food itself… DELICIOUS!
We plan to thank the folks that recommended the place immediately as it certainly wins our vote as hands down best place to eat in Clovis.

If you want authentic New Mexican food this the place to be! Service is always with a smile. My favorite is the Tim’S skillet with green chili and pork meat!

It is great. Staff is excellent.

I woke up, a little on the hungover side and was desiring something delicious. Something delectable. My first thought was to hit the Bistro but that line and my headache? No thank you. So I gathered my energy and made the journey to Don Marias. I drive by it everyday and never really thought much about popping in. So I said to myself, I said «Self, we need a breakfast ‘rito, with only the finest meats and cheeses and this place looks like the type of joint to make that happen.» So I drive my 2014 Toyota Tundra TRD 4×4 through the drive thru, like I owned the place. Theres one car in front of me, not a bad start. So, I place my peepers on the menu. The heavens opened and the Angels sang. An all meat breakfast ‘rito?! Was I still dreaming? Is this real life? So, duh I ordered that bad boy. Took all of 5 minutes before they handed me that plump, aluminum wrapped bundle of joy. On the way home my MPG’s went from 16 to 9 because that thing was so fat. If you don’t lift don’t even bother getting it because your weak ass wont be able to handle it. I had to take 4 scoops of preworkout just to get the energy to lift this thing from my truck to my kitchen. I mean, this thing was so fat, it puts Nicki Minaj’s ass to shame. So, I dig in to this thing, expecting mediocrity, but boy was I wrong. First bite, sausage, eggs, potatoes, ham, bacon, cheese, and chorizo!!! I died and my spirit left my body. My chihuahuas turned into wild grey wolves and accepted me into their pack as their leader. Tupac and Biggi stopped by and dropped off their new album, only one ever made. The bloods and the crips made peace. Scarlet Johansson called me and begged me to get back with her. My bench press went up 200lbs. After that first bite I immediately sank to my knees and wept tears of pure joy.
There isn’t an establishment within 100 miles that could provide a better ‘rito. Don Maria, keep doing you girl and keep cranking out those $ 5 bundles of all meat that might as well be pure gold.

Best breakfast burritos ever and I hate burritos in general. The green sauce is awesome with the Steak burritos. If you want to order more than 5 burritos to go, I would give yourself some extra time. Otherwise this place is pretty darn good.

Stopped in for breakfast and the coffee and food was delicious! Green chili over my breakfast skillet was very tasty and had good heat! Great pick for breakfast!

The Carne Ado Vada breakfast was great, a little over salted but good. Service was with a smile and drinks filled often! Don’t live in Clovis but would be back if we did.

This place was really awesome! The staff managed to be extremely nice and chatty without coming off as ingenious. The salsa was different but good, the only thing that threw me off was the fact their chips were actually just taco shells split down the middle. I ended up having the breakfast skillet with green sauce (recommended by the waitress), and it was ridiculously good!!! The only down side about this place is the parking, so make sure you get there early!

Sadly, another disappointment in Clovis. This place always looks busy and I had high hopes. Stopped in for lunch one day and ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich. It was two bland chicken strips on a bun. It LOOKED good. But the bun was soaked from the grease from the chicken strips. You can tell they use the same, old grease for everything. And when I got back in the car, I smelled like grease. This place is what I found to be typical of Clovis… greasy food, dusty/​dingy interior, but HEY they have green chilies! :-/

Service was terrific. Food (breakfast burrito and side of refried beans) was very good. The coffee was okay, but overall a solid breakfast place.

Havn’t been in the SW in 8 years. Oh how I have miss Green Chilis! Saw reviews here on Unilocal and held high hopes as we were looking for breakfast this morning.
The décor is fresh and rich colors. The tables are tiled topped. Tables rock and chairs rock, but thats what you get on old tile floors.
Ordered Tims Skillet w Green Chili sauce. It was delicious! The heat was spectacular and appropriate.

Next time I am traveling this way, will be back. Great New Mexican food!

Great place to go for brunch on Saturday. It closes early around 2pm ish. Not a lot of parking available, and when you go in you seat yourself. Servers are extremely nice and extremely friendly, and service can run a little slow. Nice selection of New Mexican and American food on the menu. Anything can be smothered in green sauce or red sauce, and if you are not a fan of either, double check because it might come on it. I absolutely loved the Mexican omlette smothered in the green chile carne (little bits of tender pork that falls apart when you touch it with your fork) sauce. I love my food spicy, and to me this was on the mild side. It came with a side of retried beans and papitas (cubed fried potatoes) and I loved every single bite of it! This will definitely be my Saturday brunch spot in Clovis. The only thing I wish this place had to accompany the friendly servers and great New Mexican flavor is bottomless mimosas lol
