Wouldn’t recommend. We waited over 15 minutes to order drinks and then diet soda was not mixed correctly… then waited an additional 10 minutes for new drinks. Our food order took over 30 minutes from that pint… And, my shrimp Louie was small with only lettuce, bay shrimp and a hard boiled egg! Lackluster! There was no apologies and no effort put into there food or service.

NOT family friendly or non local friendly. Do not go here unless you are a local resident or know people who work here. According to the mgr Jessica(?), brown shoulder length hair and showing her pregnancy belly, it is customary to wait 3 hours for your order. She suggests feeding your children before coming to dinner here, if you do not it is your bad parenting. Please keep this in mind when/if you bring your family here for dinner. You will wait over an hour for your meal and will have to flag them down if you want a refill on your drinks. If you bother them asking about the status of your order they will very rudely let you know that there is nothing they can do and that they are backed up. Even when there are empty tables in the restaurant and no one waiting to be seated. However, if you are a local and they like you, your food and drinks will be served promptly with friendly service. I do not recommend this restaurant as I am not used to eating before I go to a restaurant to eat. They are very rude here and unfriendly.

This was a bar but there is outside seating for kids. We ate here by recommendation of the locals. I thought the service was excellent and the food was good. I liked the soup, nice and creamy. Sandwiches were good and the onion rings were great. A little greasy but in a good was. Plenty to eat and the prices were fair. We were able to fit and visit for a long time as there wasn’t too much business. Kind of a hidden treasure. I’d eat there again.

We came in for drinks and appetizers only. Ordered the spinach dip-ok, zucchini-awesome, clam strips-so good, and onion rings-beer battered and fried perfect. Vodka-crans were good and we left full and happy!

Consider me an optimist. The first time I came here, I ordered the fish and chips and came away thinking that I’d probably just tried it on an off night. The fish was mediocre and the fries were soft and lukewarm. There was a football game on, thus the place was packed. Maybe that explained it? So, the second time I ordered the same thing. And got the same result. The third time… I know, I know, now it’s really just my own problem for assuming that the result will be different, but yet again, the fries were lukewarm and soft and this time, the fish wasn’t even hot. So, finally, the fourth time, I made myself order something different. This time I got a burger. With tots instead of fries. But honestly, the burger was pretty mediocre and the tots were, just like the fries, undercooked and soft. My wife, who normally loves tots, tried one and spit half out. «Not worth the calories» she said. But the thing is, I like this place. I want the food to be good here. I want this relationship to work. The service is great and this is a locally owned place where you can bring your family and watch sports on tv. This is the only place in Pacific City where I can watch a football game on tv and bring my kids. That said, the food’s exceptionally mediocre. There’s not really an excuse for having bad french fries, right? Please, please, please, Oar House. I write this not to whine, but to plead with you to step up and help save our relationship. Otherwise I might just have to ditch my children and eat at the Sportsman’s Bar and Grill a block down the road. My kids aren’t welcome there, but the food’s great. My children are begging you, please fix the french fries. Turn the temperature of the oil up and cook the food until it’s both hot and crispy.

Clam chowder and prime rib dinner absolutely delicious. Lots of TV screens, plenty of tables and a pool table. Friendly staff and good service, cocktails are good with a nice menu of choices. Décor is comfortable and typical of a restaurant. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again.

Come for the CHOWDER!!! Thank you Oar House for saving our day! Waited a long time at the Pelican Brewery(they get 1 star) and a local suggested we try your place. Not the same tourist location on the beach, but you knew that. Your location is very homey and local. Service was some of the best we had while on vacation! Clam chowder was the best my companion and I have ever had!!! Wish I could make it like that at home! I loved my fish and chips, fresh salad, son loved his roast beef sandwich with au jour. Big onion rings. Great beers! Superb prices! Excellent service!

This is one of my favorite aces in PC. Their chili is alway great. Other than the chili I feel all the other food is fried or hamburgers, but it is a bar so you know what to expect. A bar that allows kids and is family friendly. Staff is always friendly and they have a decent bar, video poker and keno. This ace so has windows which makes it bright, and lots of TV’s to watch football or other sports.
