My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful overnight at the inn. Paul greeted us upon our arrival and later for beer and wine. Felt more like friends than customers. The inn has been beautifully decorated — no Victorian décor any where! Our king room was spacious and came with many amenities. Breakfast was delicious — smoked salmon omelet! I highly recommend The Alexander Inn.

My fiancé and I spent a weekend after the Christmas holiday at this lovely inn. The owner, Paul was there to greet us upon arrival. He made us feel right at home, had great information about local spots for lunch, dinner and wine tasting. The wineries he suggested were wonderful and the people spoke highly of owners of the inn and the inn itself. The inn is something out of a postcard, well maintained, up to date fixtures, bathrooms, furnishings. The gas fireplace was enjoyed too. The place is very clean and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into the whole operation. We had a selection of teas, coffees, and water in our room. For breakfast we were served a wonderful, colorful and tasty meal. They really keep it fresh and local. I can’t wait until my next reservation.

I took my wife for an overnight trip to Sonoma Valley for her birthday. Upon arrival, Paul was there to great us. The cottage room was immaculate, cozy, and just as the photos showed. Even better, there was a card and a bottle of excellent wine waiting for us. Every detail of the room was immaculate and well designed, and the fireplace was a great touch. The next morning, Paul made us a fantastic breakfast — complete with juice, coffee, tea, and the best eggs we’ve had in a long time(plus lots more). We enjoyed everything about our stay at The Alexander Inn, and couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts.

Just stayed the night here for an anniversary trip. This place is excellent! Breakfast was otherworldly(sticky buns, poached eggs, and a vegetable hash)… The main house room was nice and comfy… And best of all the owners were super friendly and made us feel welcome. DEFINITELY a must try if you are in cloverdale or need a nice play to stay while visiting wine country.

To our delight, my husband and I stumbled upon The Alexander Inn scrambling to find a room in the area for the night. The cottage room was modern, clean, and spacious. The bathtub is the size of my apartment’s bathroom. The bedding was divine. And, the breakfast was a frittata, 6(yes 6) thick slices of bacon, fruit, granola and yogurt, pastries, coffee, and orange juice. I packed it up for the road because we couldn’t eat it all. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay long enough.

My husband and I just returned from an amazing night at the Alexander Inn. We loved this place! Not only is it beautiful and very clean, but it’s also dog friendly and we have a newer dog that has kept us somewhat home bound since we got him, so being able to travel with him was so great(mama needed a night out!). We stayed in one of the newly remodeled cottage houses(in fact it looks like the entire Inn has been remodeled to reflect a very clean and modern look) and it was the perfect getaway for our little family. My husband was able to take the dogs on a short walk to Cloverdale’s adorable downtown while I took advantage of the AMAZING soaking tub in our room. The bath salts were both relaxing and invigorating(lavender and peppermint I believe). Innkeepers, Paul & Kate were extremely hospitable and had wonderful recommendations for nearby restaurants. Overall it was an amazing stay and we can’t wait to go back!
