We are often disappointed here. It is supposed to be a «white tablecloth» restaurant but they had the TV on at the bar. If we had wanted a sports bar that night we could have found a real sports bar instead. I ordered red snapper but got tilapia instead. I did not bother to argue with the managers about it, but it will be a long time before we return.

I have eaten in a fair amount of Italian restaurant and their food is up in the top. Been there a few times and had good food and service every time.

As locals, we know that Piacere’s food is consistently good but the Wednesday night small plates now being offered are extraordinarily delicious! We invited friends from out of town to join us last week for our first night of small plates. Each one was unique and the presentation lovely. The single large ice cold oyster with a sprinkle of orange caviar was perfect. Others included fresh ceviche, a duck filled egg roll, a veal and ham plate, and a small caesar salad. One glass of wine came with the fixed price meal. The owners as always are most accommodating and can vary the offerings for vegetarians.

We stopped in quaint Coverdale on a small trip my wife and I were taking. First impression of the town was it was cute, small, welcoming… but limited on food choices. The hotel lobby had several menus and she found Piacere. We decided to give it a try. From the outside it gives the aura of a high dining restaurant and we were worried we were under dressed, inside was very nice, looks newly remodeled. As we entered we were greeted by some of the staff and while we may have been slightly under dressed(we were in shorts and tee shirts) there was no reason to think or feel that we weren’t totally welcome. The staff seems to be family and they treat their customers the same way. We were well taken care of while there. Offered plenty of beverage while not being overbearing. The menu isn’t too intimidating which is great. We each had some wine by the glass which was great. We both had a special of the night. The owner or head chef(I’m unsure which, maybe both) came to explain some of the questions we had about the specials. The lamb came cooked to perfection as did the lobster. I’m very fussy about my lobster and very rarely order it as its so often cooked too much, this was great. The barbecued oysters were amazing as was the fresh pasta. The prices were very reasonable. In the end of you’re traveling through Cloverdale you should take some time to stop at this diamond in the rough.

Mary and Jose out did themselves last night. We had the crab seafood risotto and the rack of lamb. It was amazing! The olive oil they serve with the bread is the best! Thanks you guys see you soon!

Restaurant Week 2016 in Sonoma County — a great opportunity to explore and sample some of the many fine dining establishments in the area. Our fourth day’s choice was Piacere Italiano Steak and Seafood serving Italian cuisine and streaks. My wife and I dined there on Friday 11 March. We arrived at about 5:30 and found a few occupied tables. The restaurant is rather small but well appointed. We ordered from their prix fixe Restaurant Week menu. My wife selected the Lobster Ravioli with Orange Cream Sauce and I opted for the Prime Rib which was an option to the New York steak. My wife was concerned that the orange sauce on her ravioli would be too much, but she said it was perfect. My prime rib arrived rare as ordered and a large portion covering an oval dinner plate. The main plates were preceded by two additional courses, crab cakes and a green salad for my wife and clams and a delicious roasted tomato soup for me. The dessert was Homemade Tiramisu, but we were both too full to eat the desserts and opted to take them home. The service was attentive and the food arrived at a nice pace, very well done. By the time we left all the tables were full and two couples were waiting, so reservations are recommended. This has to be the best value of Restaurant Week. Not only was the food delicious, the serving sizes well more than ample. This gem is what Restaurant Week is all about, trying new places and being in some cases disappointed, but in this case most pleasantly surprised.

Good spot for an easy comfort-Italian-food dinner. Small inside, and somewhat dated décor, but friendly, and an obvious local favorite. Pasta was fresh and ingredients well-prepared. Not special, but a nice choice in a small town.

This restaurant had been highly recommended to us, and my wife and I were really looking forward to dinner there to celebrate our recent move to Cloverdale. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the very long time we had to wait before anyone took our order. Once we were finally waited on, there was yet another long wait for the food to be served. The service overall was disappointing. The ambiance was lacking and we felt the prices were too high for the quality. We don’t plan to return to Piacere and would not recommend it.

Good food. Not so good service. Small space. At times they take for ever and other times they give you too much attention. But overall the food is good.

Food wasn’t really good. The service felt like they were rushing to get us out the door while three other tables took their time already finished eating and just waiting. Spaghetti with calamari was so watery it was like a soup with watered down flavors. Not coming back.

We have eaten here several times(despite my protesting) but it is one of the«nicest» restaurants in Cloverdale. The food is really not very good. Odd flavor choices, not traditional Italian in any sense if that’s what you are going for, dated décor, dusty fake trees, neon beer signs, odd service, and quite over priced!

if I could give no stars for service I would. Slow slow slow… we waited over 35 minutes for our food. 3 different servers came up to us to tell us it would be right out. I will not be returning.

Piacere is a fine restaurant to choose for dinner after wine tasting in the Alexander Valley. The olive oil was fresh and the bbq oysters were excellent! I would diffinitely come back just for those! I found out the rancid olive oil mentioned from a reviewer was actually good truffle oil. Which can be a suprise flavor if your not familiar and your expecting a light delicate taste of olive oil. It had been mixed up in the kitchen when getting ready for service. I enjoyed the veal saltimbocca and my guest enjoyed the calamari with red sauce. The french onion soup was delicious. If you’re looking for a good restaurant to dine in cloverdale, this is the one.

Very bad service. Food not impressive at all. Had to ask 3 times for balsamic vinegar for the godawful olive oil. No one ever came and took our dirty plates away. My husband had to get up and«interrupt» the girls standing around talking to ask for fresh grated Parmesan for our entrée. We presented a discount coupon at the beginning of our service(as requested on the coupon) and were told to save it until the end. Shocker, when we received our final bill there was no discount taken. This was a Friday night service around 7pm and we had made a previous reservation. Absolutely unimpressed. I’ll never return to this restaurant.

Came in here tonight with the family, In laws been here few times and loved it. Got seated as soon as we came in, right before dinner rush(perfect). Served bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, it was okay bread would have been better warm. Salad with Italian dressing … good Soup of the night BROCCOLIMUSHROOM… really good and creamy Entrée I had Linguine w/clams … portion of clams substantial… white wine, garlic and olive oil sauce… DELICIOUS … ate till the last bit of pasta. Rigatoni w/sausage in red sauce my daughter had… YUM … perfect spice/heat from the sausage. Salmon one of the specials for tonight… my husband had with fresh mango sauce, veggie and mashed potato on the side… OK. For my son spaghetti with calamari… He said was good but had to leave room for dessert :) In laws both had Prawns and Veal with mashed potato and veggie on the said we’re their favorite. Despite eating everything in our plate we had to try their dessert and it was worth it… Coconut Flan, Crème brûlée and White/Dark chocolate cake with ice cream… Everything was great, decadent and creamy. Left the place stuff and satisfied, service was great, ambiance was nice. Price was reasonable… will come back for sure.

For a small town like Cloverdale, this is an outstanding restaurant. The food is amazing. We came with four people and it was New Year’s Eve and it was busy. We were seated in the expansion section of the restaurant and felt somewhat isolated from the real part of the restaurant and with the service we also felt neglected. The food was excellent, but the pricing was a bit more expensive than what it should have been. However, if you’re the only game in town, I guess you can command those prices. It’s still worth going there and just order some of their more modest meals.

The most amazing rack of lamb I’ve ever had, amazing sauce. Caprice salad with vine ripe tomatoes. Great place, great food, great service. A definite must stop on our next trip to wine country. Very reasonably priced!

Have eaten here thrice. This is the fanciest restaurant in Cloverdale(Sounds like a back-handed compliment? It is.) Cuisine is Italo-American, emphasis on the American. Features lots of pasta dishes. Flavors are robust with thick, heavy sauces. Preparation and presentation & flavor will not send Italians into rapture. Small wine list with some respectable bottles. Quaint dining room, not overly fussy. Housekeeping seemed a little lacking my last visit. Room was somewhat cluttered. Dusty venetian blinds on the windows needed cleaning. And there was a Lysol aroma in the air. Mature service folks are friendly. Worthy? Keep your expectations in check. Your meal may be better than Olive Garden, but not up to the standards of a big city prestige Italian restaurant. Want a really good Italian meal in this region? Drive down the 101 to Geyserville. Eat at DiAvola.
