Camped at Weldon Springs over the weekend. Used to be such a nice camp ground but wouldn’t go back. Saw «host» and DNR several times but bathrooms were not maintained and worst of all… the hiking trails are an absolute disgrace. How hard would it be to mow and clear weeds? Not to mention the broken stairs. So disappointing.

The staff is not especially friendly or helpful (that’s putting it kindly), and the backpack sites are dilapidated, not as represented online (no grills, although they’re supposed to have them), and impossible to find because sites are not marked. Many are also covered in trash (we checked them all because no one was there to help us find our site).
