Papa John’s Pizza

I went to the Clinton, MD Papa Johns store on Saturday, December 11, 2015 to purchase 4 gift cards with a value of $ 25 on each card. The total was $ 100. I told the cashier this and she stared at the register, then called a man over to help her stating she didn’t know how to ring up a gift card. He came over looked at me and said «You want 4 gift cards?», I said yes and he said «wow!!!». I wasn’t sure why that was necessary but I patiently waited, then they called a woman to come forward who was busy in the back with pizza and flour all over her clothes and she was trying to show them what to do. I had already placed 4 cards and envelopes on the counter, the woman told the cashier, get some cards, the cashier said she got them, so she she told her what to do and added $ 25 to one card and printed out the receipt to give to me, she did this again and asked could I pay. I handed her my debit card and she slammed her hand down on the counter, then turned around and walked off and said «Oh my God, she’s paying with a card, not cash!!!» I looked at her and said is there a problem? She said I didn’t know you were paying in cash! I said no one asked me. Keep in mind there were 3 other customers right there observing this rude behavior from the Papa Johns employee. So she said can you pay with a card and cash? I didn’t understand why I had to do this and said I don’t understand. So the lady rolled her eyes and I said, that’s ok, I’ll go to another store, you guys need to figure out how to handle gift cards and I left. I was so upset that I was treated in this manner especially during the holidays. The customer service here was terrible. They didn’t attempt to apologize for not knowing how to handle the transaction. Or said no maam don’t leave, the lady proceeded to tell the cashier how to void the gift card. My plan was to purchase four $ 25 gift cards, then later in the day place an online order for one of the free one topping pizzas you were awarded for getting the card. This location has definitely lost my business now and in the future.

Really fast delivery service… I recommend this store!!! The Cinnapie’s are always done just right! (Life is short… eat dessert first) the thin crust rocks as well… especially with veggies… but the best part about this Papa John’s is definitely the drivers… fast and always deliver with smile!!!

First, I grew up in Brooklyn. My grandfather was Luigi Sacco. I know Pizza.
Second, I know that vegetables are mostly water, and if you put vegetables on Pizza, the crust gets soggy. So I don’t get vegetables on my Pizza. If you’re looking for a review of Pizza with vegetables on it, I can’t help you.
The meats are OK, the sauce is OK, and the crust is OK.
It isn’t great Pizza, but it’s good Pizza, and it’s better than anybody else’s that delivers around here.
I gave it 4 stars because I wanted to be sure that it rated better than anybody else in the area.
NOTE: Since the SHA is tearing up the intersection of Woodyard Rd. and Rosaryville Rd., delivery can take a while if they don’t know to go the other way around Andrews.
