Elite Meat

Let’s just put it this way. We do not go to shop rite or stop n shop to get meat anymore. As a matter of fact when I walk through the meat section in the super market I shake my head because I know those cuts of meats do not even come close to what Paul and Elite Meat carry.
The service is fantastic. If you have any questions regarding how to cook or prepare a type a certain cut of meat they will assist you. The quality is the real deal. Having been to numerous top rated NYC steakhouses, I can honestly say I am getting that quality when I come here.
Do yourself a favor, next party or holiday, get your cut of meat from Elite because your guests will definitely love you for it.

I am so glad I found this place! I seriously stop here almost every weekend. When I walk through the door, I am always greeted with a friendly hello. Paul, the owner, is top notch. He always goes out of his way to explain the cuts and how he would prepare the meats.
I will eventually try everything he has behind the counter, but as of now my favorites are below.
1) Handmade 6oz Burger Patties — I cannot say enough about these prime burger patties. It is bar none the best ground beef you are able to get in the area. Nothing compares. My wife and family both agree these patties make one of the best burgers they have ever had. They are made using gloves and a plastic molding kit, which are both very important so the wonderful fat is not smeared throughout the beef. Take one look at these these burgers and you will know you are in for a treat.
2) Chicken wings and breasts — there is something special about preparing chicken and not seeing any discoloration or smelling any funky aromas. I feel like once you have good chicken you’ll never go back to the grocery store. Paul gets his chickens from a local PA farm called Bell & Evans. These chickens contain no growth hormones or antibiotics. The taste is outstanding. You’ll never bite into this chicken and chew on cartilage or spit out a piece of something unknown. The chicken has a clean taste and is always moist. Grab a roaster for a Sunday dinner. You will not be disappointed.
3) Bacon — the freshly cut bacon is off the charts. Sourced from a farm in Wyoming, it tastes the way I would expect bacon to. The slabs have a perfect portion of fat to meat and the best part is they actually taste SMOKED. This is the only bacon I ever had that I was able to tell it was smoked. Try it on a burger or grill them up as a side for breakfast.
4) Ribeye — I have only gotten these once for a special occasion, but the cost is well worth it. Paul ages his meat, and to me, there is nothing better than having a perfectly marbled steak accented by that funky, nutty aged goodness. These are on the pricier side, but you would easily pay $ 60 — $ 70 for a 16oz portion of these in a restaurant. Do yourself a favor on your anniversary and grab one of these steaks instead on wasting your money on a steakhouse.
On top of receiving prime quality meat, my favorite part about this place is how they package everything. All meats are neatly placed in plastic bags then wrapped in freezer safe paper. This makes my life extremely easy since I tend to overbuy. You can’t put a price on good meat so do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

First time to this shop and I ordered a roast for Easter. They couldn’t have been any friendlier or helpful and the meat was delicious!

It is so nice to have a butcher in Clinton! Not only is the staff very friendly and helpful but the quality of their food is top notch. I have gotten skirt steaks, filet mignon, chicken breast and stew meat that was all really great. We made meatballs and they made us a pork, veal, beef mix that was perfection. I love that you can get a «cheaper» cut of meat and have it still be tender and delicious. I know I can count of them for top quality meat and great service.

Great butcher! Incredibly friendly staff especially the owner! Anything we’ve bought has been delicious and we now buy all our chicken, chop meat, and steaks from here even if it’s just a half pound chop meat we need at that time — nice and fresh! Our absolute favorite is just his fresh made burgers with a nice simple seasoning of salt, pepper, and garlic. Bring them home and toss right on the grill and they are the best burgers we’ve ever had.

I am very surprised there are no other comments about this excellent butcher shop on here. I recently moved into Clinton and had no idea that a top quality butcher was right around the corner from my house. I had to pick up steaks for my annual NYE dinner and I wandered in here. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and quite knowledgeable about their steaks. I picked up a filet and a prime rib steak and let me tell you their flavor was incredible. Very high quality cuts. I definitely will be shopping here more often!
