Tricho Salon & Spa

I went to Tricho for the first time ever and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I have very sensitive skin and was on a hunt for a quality spa that provided hard wax options for bikini and Brazilian wax. Tricho was one of the few willing to accommodate my needs for my sensitive skin and was willing to do an entire Brazilian using hard wax instead of the standard strip wax they normally use.
I initially communicated with Andrew, who I believe is one of the general managers. He recommended that I see Lisa which is a recommendation I will gladly pass along. Lisa was very kind and caring, very accommodating for my needs (I’m pregnant so she went at a pace that was comfortable for my increased sensitivity), was incredibly clean and hygienic, and an absolute joy to talk to throughout the waxing services. She was very thorough to make sure nothing was left behind. It was one of the best Brazilians I’ve ever received. She also did my eyebrows and they turned out beautifully.
I used to work at a salon and spa when I lived in Toronto so my expectations are always incredibly high. This salon and spa definitely hit my high expectations and then some.

Chrustian did a great job on eyebrow waxing. She was professional and helpful. If I’m in the area again I will certainly return

Refused to dye my hair the color I wanted it, so they dyed it how they wanted it. Went home and my fiancé hated it and so I called and they said to come back in and that they would fix it for free.
So no big deal, I go back in to get my hair fixed and the person who did my hair in the first place threw a fit and refused to do my hair without charging me for another complete dye job!
I have a wedding to stand up in tomorrow, thanks for that and don’t expect any referrals out of me…

this salon is too pricy for what it really is, really 20 dollars for eyebrow wax when other places charge so much less! way ridiculous! i cant even imagine what a haircut costs and it appears that other reviewers are not too happy with this place. geesh is it cause its at partridge creek, thats not even right!

After reading mixed reviews, I was nervous to try this new salon (i get nervous any time I go to a new stylist), and was pleasantly surprised! My appointment for highlights and a cut was with Chachi. He went above and beyond the services my groupon was for and he did a great job on my highlights. I am very pleased with the way my hair turned out. The salon is trendy and clean, great ambiance. I love that they offer refreshments and actually take my coat when I arrive– not all places have done this recently, one time i was stuck awkwardly trying to figure out where to put my coat.
As with any salon, make sure to speak up with the kind of cut you want and you won’t be disappointed.
The reviewers who have left negative comments about kids cuts– this isn’t a kids place, so don’t let that sway you against this salon!
One thing to note is they do not let you add tip on a credit card, so make sure you bring cash to tip with. There is an ATM in their salon or Chase ATM’s all around Partridge.

I got my hair done here hoping to find a new stylist since my old one had moved out of the area.
I found they had a special online for $ 99. Cut, color, and Highlights. Awesome.
Booked my appt with Claudette.
Place is beautiful and I was taken back on time (Which I always LOVE, I hate when you make an appt and they make you wait forever.)
My hair was kind of a mess that day because to be honest… I was going to get m hair done! Why would I spend time with a flat iron if I was going to pay someone to do it for me?!
I had a shoulder length angled bob, and wanted to keep it. I have thicker wavy hair. I told her it would have to be thinned out since I wear it curly sometimes and we did not thin it last time. Told her I wanted natural looking color and highlights. She points to a girl that works there and says «I did her hair yesterday, is this what you want?» (totally opposite). «No. Keep the angled bob, thin it out, natural looking color.» I ended up with the same hair style the girl had, leading me to believe… she only knows how to cut one style.
It wasn’t horrible, and I did grow to like it, but it wasn’t even close to what I wanted.
Then as she began styling my hair she told me how healthy and nice my hair was, she asked what kind of shampoo I used (typical drug store finds) she snubbed her nose at me saying they are no good and I need a $ 20 bottle of shampoo. I know they are supposed to sell product, but I HATE that. I am no less of a person just because I use Dove or Herbal Essence, my hair looks just as good and I have more money in my pocket. (lol sorry for the side rant!)
Then the real kicker came and check out. I was able to use the $ 99 dollar deal, but then after the guy swiped my card I go to sign the receipt there was no line for me to add a tip. I said «Oh I need to add a tip, do you have to add that?» «No, we don’t allow tips to be added on credit cards, but we do have an ATM IN THE BACK YOU CAN USE.» Are you freaking kidding me!!! People come in here and spend an avg of $ 100+ and I have to have cash to tip or pay $ 3.00 for your ATM!!! I don’t think so! I felt a bit bad because I NEVER carry cash, but I’m sorry, Im not using a random ATM in the back of a salon because they are too cheap to pay an extra fee to the credit card company.

Ashley Ann did a wonderful job with my cut and highlights. She did a «base bump» which equated to making the roots of my hair lighter. As a result, I got to extend the time in between appointments. That meant 1) Less stresses on the tresses (bleach can take a lot out of the hair) and 2) Less stress on my wallet. The salon is well décor is lovely without being overly girly and the entire staff was friendly.
