I’m going to start off by saying I was a little disappointed. It came highly recommended. It’s hard to compare any other sliders to Telway and I guess my expectations were a bit high. They were good but nothing special. The sautéed onions were burnt which made the burgers a bit dry tasting. The chili cheese fries were not good. The chilli was like watery meat with little flavor poured over kraft singles on crinkle cut fries. The place is nice inside and the staff were really friendly but the food was average. This was our first time here so we may give it another try.

Went here for the first time tonight and it’ll be our last. Ordered a bacon Swiss burger no pickle and my husband orders hot roast beef dinner.
Burger came out with wrong cheese and pickles all over the plate waited a few minutes for the waitress to come over and never did. Meanwhile husbands meal was ok if you like instant mashed potatoes. Finally someone comes over and sees the burger is not touched asked what was wrong told them and they remade it. By the time I got it back husband was done eating. Took mine to go.

Recently moved to the area, and I’ve had Travis before but not this location. On the first visit I grabbed a sack of sliders and fries and they were great. Ate lunch there a few other times and enjoyed it. Only grabbed breakfast once and it was very greasy, which surprised me because I’ve heard it’s pretty good. Not knocking my rating much for that, assuming it was a fluke.

This restaurant has all of the charm of an old time diner, but with clearly updated décor and furnishings. Very clean inside. The staff is just as attentive as you’d expect in a diner and the food was great!
Four stars because the cinnamon roll was kind of gross. Seemed like a gas station cinnamon roll unwrapped and microwaved. Everything else was delicious!

We wanted to go to Gina’s Café, but saw they had a line so we bolted.
We stopped in here, and they too had a line (12:30 on a Sunday) so we cozied up to the counter, just in time, because boy did the line get LONGER!
We had great service, and pretty great food too.
They had that line whittled away in no time.
All the workers were hustling, all graciously.
Amongst the crowd they were getting a bunch of carry-​out orders done too.
We didn’t have to wait long at all despite the busy conditions.

This is the third time that we stopped at this restaurant. They closed early and we arrived at 7:30 and they pointed to the sign that said 8:00. I don’t mind being turned away but this location continues to be a disappointment. People that live in this area should agree that this location forgets about the customer.

It’s been over a month since going here and I’m still dreaming about the sliders. I mean, they are perfect. So perfect. Nothing will ever compare and now I will cry forever. Why don’t places in LA serve REAL sliders?

This location can be summed up as Clean, Friendly and Fast.
Sadly it seems to be the norm that cleanliness is not a given in restaurants. This location, although very busy is extremely clean.
There are more than enough waitstaff. They help each other out so if your person is tied up two come over to help. These people never stop moving. They are all very welcoming. It seems this is the equivalent of the bar CHEERS. They know all their customers and smile and make small talk as they wiz around the room. That’s nice! VERY friendly with a family feel.
Fast because even with every table full the kitchen keeps up. You are not waiting for what seems a lifetime.
As food goes there are no surprises, standard diner fare served hot and fast.
If you are looking for a place to eat that’s clean friendly and fast this is it.

I’m basing this review on service and the food. The food was just okay and the good thing is that it came out really fast.
On the service… when we got to the restaurant, we seated ourselves and then we waited and waited and waited. The place was near empty with only 2 other tables so there was no way no one saw us at our table and this place is small. We actually had to get up and get our own menus and then we just kept waiting. I looked around and the waitresses were just standing around. After what seemed like forever a waitress finally comes and gives us water. I didn’t even feel like eating after that. And then after getting our food, she never came back to refill our waters or check up on us.
Won’t be coming back here.

The foods ok. Exactly what you would expect from a diner. Nothing here i crave or anything. The people that work there though.. They seem miserable. They really do. They were doing some sorry of fund raiser selling candy. I asked the woman ringing me up for take out how much it was. She sighed pretty loudly and said I’d have to ask someone else. Then i looked next to her and there was a big jar with a giant sign. ‘Candy $ 1!’. Lol. They work hard though because this place is always busy. Foods consistent. Never bad.

This is the kind of family restaurant to add to your «old standby» list. It’s the kind of place you’d like to be a regular on Sunday afternoons.
Travis is often touted for its burgers, but the menu is a bit more diverse than that. A lake perch or walleye dinner is never a bad idea here, and there are some really solid sandwich offerings.
It’s a Midwestern-​style family restaurant that does everything decent and does a few things very, very well. Add to that Travis’s very kind and prompt customer service, and I’d be happy to stop by Travis anytime.

I’ve had breakfast here a few times before going in to work; it’s a decent place with standard breakfast options… not the best but not the worse… However, I like it for breakfast cause it’s tasty and it’s cheap.
For lunch I think burgers is probably the best they have, and they are pretty good… not amazing either, but pretty good indeed, again good for the price.

I just love this place.
I’ve gone here on and off since I lived in St. Clair Shores. The great thing about this place is that they’ve changed NOTHING. It looks exactly the same. They use the same menus. When I come here, I feel like I’m walking into the past. So many memories eating at this place.
The best part? The place is CHEAP. The food may not be of the best quality (not sure why I say that. Just a vibe I get… the grease compensating for it, or something?), and the restaurant itself may not be the cleanest place you’ll eat at, but either way, it’s good eating, and REALLY hits the spot when you’re drunk.
