I stopped here to try the $ 4.95 lunch special advertised on the window. The restaurant offers two selections for this price that vary daily. My food was good, but it was the smallest plate of Chinese food that I have ever been served. The meal included rice and an egg roll, but not soup. I realize that it is a special and is priced under $ 5, but compared to lunch specials at any other local Chinese restaurant, this was skimpy! When I got home, I had to eat some leftovers that were in my fridge. However, as I mentioned, what I was served was tasty. I can only rate the lunch special, but I cannot speak to other menu items and their portion sizes.

Big sign out front says 4.95 lunch special. I called and ordered the lunch special. When I got there she said $ 8. I said I wanted the lunch special, she said that was yesterday, today’s lunch special is different. She was very rude. The food was horrible. You can clearly tell the sesame chicken was microwaved, breading soggy, chicken dry and chewy. Couldn’t eat the fried rice because it was too hard and was gonna chip a tooth. and noticed from another review the egg roles are empty, greasy, nasty. The portion for $ 8 is so ridiculous I would have been mad paying $ 5. I could have eaten 3 of what they gave me. The place is a joke. Save your money, there are a lot of other options out there.

I would stop here regularly on way home from work to pick up dinner, not no more!!! I did notice that the portions were smaller, the carry out containers were also smaller too! Due to the smaller portions I continued to get carry-outs from here. Almond Boneless Chicken was good, just wish more for the price. The reason I will not go back is because I noticed when I got my MasterCard monthly invoice, they tacked on a $ 3.00 tip for my $ 10.00 carry out order!!! Shame on you!!! Who gives a 30% tip on a pick up carry out order… SCAM!!! Too bad, the food did taste you. You just lost a faithful customer!

We used to love this place, but the service, portions and food quality have gradually gone down hill. Egg rolls are barely filled and kind of mushy. Soup is the only thing worth getting.

Good Chinese is very had to find, but I think this is the new spot for me. The food is never greasy, never bland, everything comes out hot and it’s CLEAN. Bonus points for actually making my food spicy when I order it hot. Most places give you«American» hot, but I can actually feel the heat in the spice when I ask for it. Thank you! I’ve never gotten the feeling that I’m eating yesterday’s leftovers. Everything appears to be fresh and made to order. Chinese is definitely subjective; everyone has their own take on what it should and shouldn’t be, but as far as Chinese-American places go, this is one of the best I’ve been to.

This is «the neighborhood chinese place» since it’s all of five minutes away. — They actually make General Tsao’s chicken properly. And they ask you if you want it spicy or not, which is a nice touch. — Take out is quick and prompt. — Their rewards program is nice. They give you a card, and every other time you order from there(dining in or taking out) you’ll get 10% off, 20% off, $ 5 off, or whatever hole punch you’re due for on that trip. Again, it’s a nice touch. It’s free, and if you’re planning on being there more than once, you should absolutely get one. — Vegetables in dishes are crisp when they’re supposed to be crisp, lightly bendy when they’re supposed to be lightly bendy… …all in all, maybe I don’t know what«authentic Chinese food» is… but I’m not looking for«authentic Chinese food». I’m looking for«Chinese food that I like», and this is definitely that.

I am going to start this by saying that everyone has their own taste for chinese food. I find that if you give people Almond Boneless Chicken from 3 different places, and everyone will have something to say about all of them! My Husband and I really like this place. Food is always good, always fresh, and always hot! Hubs usually gets the Pad Thai and he enjoys it. They usually make it the correct heat level. Place is almost always busy, so that should say something!

Okay, I realize that New Ping’s is not anywhere near authentic Chinese food, Alanna S., but compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the area, this one is pretty darned good.(Especially compared to the one across Garfield, next to Randazzo’s — ugh! I’m blanking on the name…) The vegetables are all very fresh and the meat is good quality, which cannot be said of many of the Chinese restaurants in the area. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable too. We always ask for everything prepared with no MSG, and it’s quite tasty. I’m not a fan of the fried stuff because it’s pretty thick and doughy batter, but that’s just me — my family loves the fried shrimp. We love chatting with Jun too — she’s so friendly and bubbly. New Ping’s is not a fancy place and a good portion of business seems to be carry-out, but it’s one of our favorite places to get together with friends and family for dinner or after church. Enjoy!

Boring. Bland. Tasteless. Take your pick, this is not an establishment worth spending any of your hard-earned cashed. The only redeeming factor would be its rolls(quintessentially bad-Michigan-Chinese, though hardly Chinese at all) The rolls are good. For anything else? Search elsewhere.
