Nope. Ribs were super, super greasy. Food is put together as if there is no care. The rice tasted old and bland. I was afraid to try the salad. I walk in and wo fail it is always dead. This is a no for me.

Heard of this place when they first opened and tried the platters since I didn’t want to drive so far for the other platters I know. Me and my boyfriend both got chicken platters and they were okay. My boyfriend doesn’t really like the chicken so he started to get beef the past two times and he says it’s better. I wish they didn’t pour the white sauce all over it before hand. I would rather prefer to do it myself. The first time I also got the mild wings and I thought they were pretty good. The prices are also good so it’s worth a try.

WORST WINGS I EVER HAD… Ord er ed 20 honey bbq wings. Got home they were burnt and smelled and tasted weird. First and last time i will go there. The manager tells to come in and he will give me kore like I WANT TO SUFFER AGAIN. I WOULD GIVE THEM NEGETIVE STARS.

Ordered chicken noodle soup for starters. They didn’t have any but had chicken vegetable… Super bland.
My boyfriend ordered half chicken with choice of topping. He chose garlic butter. Came with two sides your choice.
It was «ok»
I was here when they first opened really enjoyed it but the manager just told me that they’re under new management for past two weeks.
I don’t think I will go back.

You have to try their ribs and wings! So many different types of sauces.

The first time I ordered it was a 2 burgers with French Fries. Delicious. The fries were a bit hard. I stopped by today to order a burger and fries. There was a sign at the door that said it would open today at 2 it was 3:30…however a guy was nice enough to take my order. I had to go somewhere but I was told the food would be ready in 6 – 10 minutes. I come back and was told my food was never made. WHAT?! Apparently there was an inspector… so why take my order if you aren’t going to be able to make & tell me it’ll be ready ?? I was already in a bad mood because I’ve been hungry all day and this was just horrible. I really thought this place was going my go to but not with the service I was shown today.

Wow so this place has some really bad reviews which makes me feel almost ashamed that I actually liked it.
BBQ Zone is right by my job and when it opened my coworkers and I were all so excited about it. I’ve eaten here a few times and I like it and so do my coworkers. Got a half chicken with 2 sides and the chicken was good. The two sides were meh. Tried their wings, also good. Cheese quesadilla was good. And most recently I tried their halal platters. Got it mixed, chicken and beef, over salad and it was good. No complaints. Prices are cheap and I feel like I got what I paid for.
Mostly we get delivery, which has always been on time. I’ve picked up a few times but never dined in and the place seems really clean and neat on the inside.
I think they have a bit of an identity crisis. They serve BBQ, Halal and Spanish food. Maybe they should just pick one and try to be the best they can be in that one category. It could be that they’re spreading themselves too thin and need to just hone in on one type of food. But what the hell do I know about running a food business. Plus, like I said before, I think their food is good and reasonably priced.

Pretty sure half the reviews here are fake/​paid. First off, put my order in then they say we don’t accept credit cards. Had to go get cash. Food was not good. Ribs were all fat. Chicken subpar. Wings not good. Mashed potatoes looked like they were sitting out all day.
Avoid, not good, waste of money.

Just stopped here for lunch after work with my brother. I ordered a medium rare ½ burger that in the picture on their menu looked amazing and juicy etc. The burger came out and it was 2 ¼lb patties that were over well done and looked tasted, and felt like McDonald’s patties as if BBQ Zone cooks go and get discount patties at the end of the day before McDonald’s throws them :/​I’m sorry to say this but I honestly was very disappointed, on another note, my rother ordered a burrito and a quesadilla and both were very selections and very good. I am just warning you to stay away from the beef or the burgers in general. Thanks for reading my review.

WHOA YOU GOTTA COME HERE TO GET THE PLATTER. It’s tastes like the halal guys food truck in NY but just as good or maybe better. Waay to good and super cheap and a generous portion.

I wish the rice they use for the platters is the same rice they use for the bbq combos. Fries are good but wished it was cooked differently. Maybe crispier.
Final verdict:
Definitely an Awsome place to eat. A lot of space good vibes and well lit. Not many places around the area that offer great prices and portions and again the platter is Awsome. If you crave NY halal platters just come here. It saves you the long trip, finding Parking and the increasing tolls. Just come here to get some good food and service and relax.

Tried this place and it’s an absolute gem that I’m surprised isn’t more popular in this area. Very spacious and clean inside and the ribs I tried were juicy and delicious. For the price and amount that you get, I will be sure to come back here again.

Definitely worth it!!! The food is delicious i tried almost everything they’re getting famous for the platters but the salmon doesn’t stay behind & the chicken neither and is a good amount of food with a decent prize i definitely recommend it!!!

Tried this place twice so far and both times had a good experience. Food was fresh and tasted great. I tried the platters and actually it tastes better than the one in NYC. I give it 4 stars becuase the food does take awhile to come out, otherwise a great place for a good meal.

Ordered food, took over 20 mins and two other people came in this dump after and ordered food. So we left. Then douche had the nerve to come beg us to come back in. Dump dump dump! Please close soon shithole!

The first time I went I wanted to be optimistic about it, but there was no flavor in the food I bought, so I went once again and I saw something disgusting, someone didn’t finish their fries and after they cleaned the tables I saw how one of the owner saved it for the next customer. I also tried a desert and it seemed old I didn’t even finish it. I Would not recommend it, I will not go again.

Wanted to try something different in the area. Got a grilled chicken platter and a burger w fries — food was edible but little to no flavor. Mango smoothie tasted of powdered banana. Very disappointed –Won’t be returning

It’s about time Clifton got a decent barbecue spot. Similar to Ferry Street barbecue in the Ironbound, but with parking and much better seating. I went in during the lunch rush and got out within a very reasonable amount of time. I hate barbecue sauce, but accidentally (and unwittingly) ordered it when I ordered their chicken, bit into it, and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers are easily the best ones in the area, and the steak and beef burritos taste authentic compared to my usual burrito place, Chipotle. The prices are easily the best in the area for anyone looking to grab a bite on the cheap as well. This place is definitely going to be taking off.

Great new spot with a refreshingly different menu and prices that allow this to become a daily habit without breaking the bank. The platters are great, but what I wasn’t expecting was the BBQ chicken to be anywhere near as good as it was. One of the few places to offer mashed sweet potatoes as a side as well. Plenty of parking, and you can call ahead to place your order so you aren’t waiting once you walk in.

Didn’t feel like cooking decided to try this new place out. It was ok, food was not good and it didn’t look appetizing. Would not go again.

«When you crave some smokey meat» BBQ Zone is the place where you should be. They are so «friendly» the owners are always there doing there best. The food is so delicious, and they serves halal food. You can taste the smoke in the food and it «melt-​in-​your-​mouth». The prices are reasonable and they have an amazing salad bar.
