Golden Grain

Highly dissatisfied. Decided to go here tonight primarily for the wheat crust. Was with a group of people so decided to order one of their special deals. I ordered online. I got a call saying the special we picked they couldn’t do wheat crust for the pizza. If this place is advertising wheat crust shouldn’t you be able to do it for all sizes? Not the case. Stuck with what we ordered and went to pick it up.
When we got home the boneless wings we ordered were barbecue when they were supposed to be medium. I have been here before and they also messed up my wings as they were supposed to be boneless and they were bone in. I called back and explained the situation and asked them to delivery me my correct order. Whoever I spoke to on the phones response was «oh you don’t like barbecue?» Well if I liked barbecue wouldn’t I have ordered barbecue in the first place?
Here’s the real reason for my review. When the new wings were dropped off, the delivery driver said «oh I just need the other wings back.» Are you kidding me? I have worked in a restaurant for over eight years. Anytime you send out food and it gets returned it needs to go in the trash. What were they going to do with the wings? Give them to the next guest who ordered barbecue? Makes me really wonder how sanitary this place is.
Horrible customer service, average food and mind blown that they would ever ask for food back.

I would love to give this less than one star. Order through mealeo wait an hour called was told 30 minutes said no thanks still delivered 1 hour later. Refuse a refund were not hungry anymore and not my issue don’t go here. I’ll stick to labellas doms inferno ANYWHERE

So far so good!!! First time getting pizza here. My daughter ordered hers over the phone and I chose what I wanted when I got there to pick it up. A great selection of specialty slices available. I ordered an Eggplant Parm Slice & a veggie slice because I couldn’t decide. Daughter ordered small cheese pie, garlic knots & mozz sticks. The specialty slices were awesome and I had a garlic knot… excellent, they weren’t oily/​greasy at all! My daughter loves their pizza. Being a transplant from Long Island I am a terrible snob when it comes to pizza… the best yet!!! Will go there again. They are open late too!

I have a complex, love-​hate relationship with Golden Grain. THE PROS: (1) They’re the only place that delivers to my area and are open late (11pm every night) (2) I am single and eat an unhealthy amount of takeout. They have the option to make any pizza with whole wheat crust (for $ 1 extra), which, I tell myself, makes it «healthy» (3) The taste of the pizza, IMHO, is phenomenal. I order the Buffalo Chicken pizza religiously. Whenever my best friend comes to visit, she demands it upon arrival. This weekend I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried their marghertia pizza. Now I don’t know what to do with myself… it was *so* good. THE CONS: (1) They always get lost. I’ve ordered from here more than I like to admit, and sure, I live in cow country, but it’s within cell range for GPS. Yet, every other time the delivery kid calls me frantically asking me to flash my lights so he can find the house. Which probably has something to do with (2) Are you starving? Don’t order from here. Even if you’re just starting to pangs of grumpy hunger, don’t risk it. Because it takes on average 65 to 90 mins to get your order. I know. It’s ridiculous. But the pizza is that good. So order here well in advance and have some apps at your place for any guests to gnaw on in the meantime. (3) Sigh. Golden Grain. Why you do me like this? I’ve ordered beverages from you three times. Twice via online ordering and once over the phone. And all three times, no bev arrives. Is this how you get your ya-​yas? Screwing people out of their $ 2.75? If you’re not competent enough to remember the sodas ever, then freakin remove them from the delivery menu. And each time I asked your delivery kid «yo, where’s my soda?» he blames it on someone at the counter there, saying «oh, he didn’t give it to me. Want me to come back?» No, I don’t want you to come back. That makes me feel like the a$$. And by the time the kid would get back here, three hours later, I’d be stuffed with marinated chicken and mozzarella, God willing, and not have room for soda anyways. This part really p*sses me off, but my hands are tied. Your pizza is addictive and no one else comes out to me. But next time I order, I’m going to have words with the «man at the counter» and set the record straight. You’d do well to make it up to me with a free cannoli next time. IN SUMMARY: delicious pizza if you have the patience to wait for it, accompanied by crappy service and cute, clueless delivery boys. Clean it up Golden Grain. I beg of you.

Me an my husband live around the area and we always go or order from this place. it is beside the Price Chopper. We love their wings– just enough heat and crispiness! Their salads are always fresh, and their pizza crust is just perfect– not to thin, not to thick. the staff are always friendly and prompt with delivery.

We Ordered a vegetarian pizza from golden grain on a Friday night. After waiting an hour and a half for the delivery guy to get the house he handed the pizza over and took off like a bat out of hell before I could look at the pizza. When the box was opened we were given a meat lovers type of pizza that was ice cold to boot. Upon calling the restaurant to let them know we were met with hostility on the phone and they tried to get us to pay for the replacement pizza. They agreed to deliver a new pizza free of charge we waited another 30 min for the next pizza that was basically raw. I will never order from this place again and will encourage everyone else to stay away as well.
