Flap Jack

This was my first time here. They are open till 4pm so I came at 1:30ish they were empty. The food was just okay not great. The waitress was amazing she was working hard but the food is not anything to ride home about. The eggs we’re dry and I ordered extra cheese. Their prices were in the low range for the food you got but over all favor wasn’t wonderful. Maybe come in the morning when they are super busy? I don’t know

Ate there a few weeks ago with my kids only have one word to say about the staff and service «NASTY» #nastyflipflop.

Unilocal really needs to offer a NO STAR option.
First time here. Usually I hate breakfast but at least twice a year, I have a craving for a waffle and good Ol pecan syrup.
Decided to try this place since it’s 10 mins from my home and I gotta say that on my «Bad Decisions Book», this is number 10 smh. My God this place is AWFUL.
My kid ordered the funny face pancake while I ordered the waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. I decided to be adventurous and order crepes with strawberries as well seeing tht I always wanted to try one. Now the food came out 5 mins after ordering, but I was ready to leave 1 minute after tasting it.
The waffle was tasteless!!! I mean so bad that my feelings were hurt– I really took it personal. Then once I realized that the strawberries were THICK AND FROZEN, I became enraged. The crêpe was just as gross. Jus disgusting. Have u ever seen the inside of a couch? You kno that thick yellow cushion??? Well I imagined that if I cut a piece of the cushion, put it on a plate and added frozen strawberries and pecan syrup to it, it would taste just like that thing they called a waffle. Ugh. I jus stacked all of our plates up n asked for the bill. My kid hated her pancake because they put bananas on it n said it tasted like a «banana box»… Her words, not mine.
NEVER AGAIN. Anyone who enjoys eating here jus doesn’t care about life.

Excellent food and excellent prices. My husband and i went here after a snow storm and we were the only customers there so the service was fast and the server was really nice.

Horrible service!!! It took 15 minutes just to get water brought to the table & drink orders weren’t taken for another 10. 45 minutes later there still was no food and no one came by to see if we were ok or to offer condolences for the wait. Needless to say I left before the food came. STAY FAR AWAY! denny’s is right up the road… Better yet go to millers alehouse.

The food is not good. The meat in the patty melt tastes like and has the texture of soy. The soup was so salty that it was inedible. The mayo on my club sandwich was warm and tangy, and not in a good way. The service was so bad, that when they charged me for the two kids meals, I didn’t have the patience to wait for them to redo the bill.

Great place — two visits. Consistently good food and service. Hash browns are shredded!

So the old IHOP is now Flap Jack. I’ve tried it so you don’t have to.
Good news is that it is pretty cheap. You can get out of here on $ 20 for a big breakfast for two.
The food is just ok. There were complaints though. The bacon was chewy. So was the French Toast. Whatever they put on my pancakes and French Toast tasted more like cream cheese than butter. The coffee was nothing special.
But this is the comment from my wife that made me decide on two stars.
«This is the first time in my life that I didn’t like the bacon.»
Gang, if you’re screwing up the bacon, you’re not worth it.
Also, the coffee was so uninspiring that we needed a trip to Dunkin Donuts afterward just to get something decent.
I don’t know how they did it. The old IHOP that was here previously was no great shakes, but I miss it now.
Come here if you’re looking for a cheap breakfast and you just don’t give a damn.
