Descent price and pretty fast work. It’s the poor Mexican guys that worked their asses off. So far the system works as advertised. They keep calling to ‘do a check up’ or something. The walls still leak but they said that would be additional work/money after I had the system installed.

I was referred to this company from a friend. I had a french drain installed around my house. Everything seemed to be fine until the rain came… they put a drain 10 feet from my house into my backyard so whenever it rained by backyard was a swamp. I called them back and explain what was happening. They didn’t want to hear a thing. They told me I signed the contact and knew what they were doing. Did I??? Would someone sign a contact that reads when it rains the water is going to be in your yard and you will have nothing but a pool of swammpy water. This company is a JOKE!!! I had to pay $ 1,000 to have this fix after paying $ 5,000 for the drain. Stay away from this company.

I had water dripping from my basement walls and Quality 1st was my choice to install the drain system. Jessica bid the job and provided a very detailed explanation of the process and products without being pushy with the sales. I had the drains, sump pump pit, and vapor barrier installed the next week. The crew was prompt and worked quickly. My only minor complaint is they could have spent a little more time sealing the vapor barrier more throughly. I had to go back a caulk a bit more to make sure it was sealed up. $ 10 worth of caulk and now I’m completely satisfied. Overall I had a very good experience with them and would recommend quality 1st basements if you need a waterproofing service.

They wanted to do a french drain. Replace my 1 month old sump pump with there’s. But wait. what about the leaky walls. O no we can’t help with that. I don’t have the contract in front of me but i believe they wanted 12 thousand. I later learned that I needed to have the Tar removed from the walls and then water proofing done. Stay away from these guys. This is a Franchise. Not all are the same.

Quality 1st offered a complete solution for my damp townhouse basement that was affordable and is working well. The salesperson was knowledgeable and never pressured me into any decision. The price was fair, and the work was done quickly and neatly. I had a crawlspace partially excavated and encapsulated in plastic, a sump pump installed, and an industrial-size dehumidifier installed. Combined, these fixes have brought down the humidity level from«tropical rain forest» to comfortable. It’s allowed me to get my mold condition under control. The installers were also very clean. They wrapped my whole basement in plastic and cleaned up any mess they made.

After posting my Quality 1st review on Unilocal,I immediately received a call from them in an effort to extend sincere apologies for my situation. They not only offered future services that more than make up for our out of pocket costs, they sincerely asked for our future business with them. It isn’t often a company calls to extend this type of offer. I certainly feel as though I can completely trust them in having our best interests. Thank you Quality 1st! ********************************** Positive Results ********************************* My husband and I had Quality 1st install a crawl space system in 2009, we saw improvement with mold and moisture issues we were having. Unfortunately, the aftermath of Irene in August 2011, our system completely stopped working. I contacted customer service to inform them of this. Since we scheduled for an annual service appointment in September, and they were extremely busy due to the storm, they said they would have someone assess and hopefully repair the system at that time. September 24, 2011, the service man came, went into our crawl space, spent about five [5] minutes down there and came up to tell me the system wasn’t working and that I needed to give him a check for $ 104, their annual service amount. Obviously, we were well aware it wasn’t working and I mentioned he was suppose to ‘assess and possibly repair the system’ while he was there. He said he knew nothing about that and again demanded payment. I did not pay him for coming to my home and do nothing to resolve the situation. I immediately called and spoke to Nick, one of the owners?, who said he was sorry for the miscommunication and that he would review our file and send an estimate for repairs in order for us to submit to our insurance company. Nick sent an email with the estimate for repairs on October 5, 2011, 5:37pm, in the amount of $ 1,650. I submitted the estimate to our homeowners insurance and rescheduled another date for Quality 1st to do the repairs. From their initial visit September 2011, there were six [6] more visits before the repair /install was complete. Six of the seven times they came to our house they did nothing to repair our system, I’m not sure why this continued to happen but sure enough they would arrive as scheduled only to inform me for some reason or another they would not be able to complete the process, i.e., parts didn’t come in yet or they didn’t have the right equipment with them. So from September 2011 until February 2012, our system was broken, and I had taken 7 days off of work to be at the house for them to ‘repair’ the system. This is not what I call customer service nor is it a company I would every recommend to anyone.
