I am new to the area and want a spot to enjoy some adult beverages while enjoying a game or conversation with the wife. Spotted Pebble Beach Pub and decided to get it a shot. At my age I have been to my fair share of pubs, taverns, saloons, dives, gin mills, after hours joints, etc.; so, Pebble Beach Pub is an average bar at best. A dive, but with no character. Bummer. Walked in at 7:20PM or so and the joint was cafeteria bright. Not my cup of tea. As soon as I open the door; every customer turn their heads to check me out. I hate this. I feel like 5, 0 in the house. Bartender looked like he had a rough night last night. Mind you, this is after 7PM. Your basic beers and liquors at Pebble Beach Pub. Nothing special that I could see. A few TVs, 3 or 4 tables in the back and a kitchen which serves food. Let me state; maybe the cook called out, but I had the impression the bartender is the cook. Definitely, not my cup of tea. Overall, I would pass on this place. Maybe if I was desperate for a drink or been barred from every bar in the area I would come in. First, I would never eat here. Second, this the gin mill is not conducive to having a fun time. Please don’t get me wrong. I love dives, but this place has no character. Just booze and seats… Nothing wrong with this, but when I go out I like some atmosphere. I want an experience. Maybe, this place has a good late night crowd; MAYBE.

James is the man. Super friendly! Cooks bartender serves he’s a one man show. This is a friendly town bar without the obnoxiously loud music and dazzle dazzle. I like this place.

This is a dive. Food is good though and after hours I enjoy it plus the local crowd.

I love and hate this spot. Its insanely damn cheap, i mean $ 3 mixed drinks pretty much all the time. Its super small, luckily it has some tables in the back. Apaprently the food is good. Ive only had a grilled cheese and it wasn’t anything special. The bartenders are really cool and down to earth. Ive had some really wild nights here… but the crowd tends to be a bit older and tends to have some towny trash in it. basically train wrecks if you will. But honestly, its fun and I’ve always had a good time here. it kinda smells bad when you first walk in, and the bathrooms stink too. they gotta do something about that. yes theres a happy hour & they don’t take credit cards! start taking cards please!

Alright let’s be straight. It’s a dump. But it’s dirt cheap and the greasy bar food is what you’d expect, and it’s relatively quiet in there. But it is an absolute dump. Not a dive. A dump. They seriously need to do SOME kind of rennovation in there. Anything. Pop in for a cold millier light and a BCB and you really can’t complain for under $ 10.

If you like good people and great food, stop by the Pebble Beach Pub in Cliffside Park. One of the best bacon cheeseburgers I’ve ever had in my entire life. And as another Unilocaler said, they also serve a really amazing cheesesteak sandwich. On Sundays there’s a Steak and Eggs Breakfast Special, which is perfect during football season. You are served SOMUCH food! I can never finish it all. You really can’t beat the prices — you can walk out of here full and tipsy for under $ 20. My type of bar!

I can’t get enough of Pebble Beach Pub! The food is something out of this world! The owner/manager/butcher/cook/bartender(yes he does it all) has such a talent and respect for his business. George put’s his heart and soul into this place, and it really shows in the food and atmosphere! His staff is great and so fun and nice. You really feel like everyone knows your name when you come here. You can also order out if you like, but with the drink prices being so good, why wouldn’t you want to sit and have a few with a jumbo cheese dog?! love a good family owned business. Mark G, you sould be ashamed of youself for your review!

What a dump. I didn’t know places like these even existed in Northern Jersey.

If you need a good cheese-steak at 2AM(as we all do), this is the perfect place. Owned by a 3rd generation butcher, they are very proud of the meat, and did not over flow the sandwich with extras — a big plus for the bib-less inebriate. The jukebox has a wide selection, and the waitress was friendly. I was pleased to find that my bill for a soda, beer, and sandwich was under $ 20. Update: went at 1:55 Am and the food was unavailable. Try to get there before 1am for food.

The ultimate dive of dive bars. AND I LOVEIT! Service is great. Drinks are made well(and great for about $ 4.50). Jukebox rocks. Food is delicious, especially after a few drinks and you can get a cheese hot dog at 1AM! It’s less than a mile from me, and there’s a 24 cab station less than a block away. PERFECTION! I love it here.
