You must check out this place tucked away inside of The Statler Arms. It’s a little counter coffee/tea/cookies shop with the friendliest proprietor. I ordered a Chai Tea & he added fresh cardamom & Ginger — DELISH!

Wow! A true — hidden — gem. The place is literally hidden with no external signage that I could see. If you enter the Statler Arms Apartment building off of Euclid you have to walk deep inside through the lobby, past Juji’s Café on the left and almost to the elevator bank till you find this spot just jutting out into the lobby on the right. The shop is much closer to the E13th St. entrance. I was the shop’s only customer at the time. The barista was very friendly. There was an ad for pumpkin something on the wall and I asked if that was flavored coffee. When she told me it was a latte and I said I would take it, she first offered to just add the pumpkin syrup to a coffee — very considerate and attentive to what I might want. I got the Pumpkin Carmel Pecan latte($ 3.95, medium) which blew me away. I was honestly expecting not to like it, but it ended up being one of those drinks that you guzzle down in 5 minutes audibly moaning as you do. The fancy drink menu was limited, but clearly they do what they do well. They also have smoothies. There was a small clear case on the counter, but at 3:30pm it was empty so I guess go early if you want whatever goodies may have been housed in there. While there was no seating seemingly dedicated to Copper Moon there were some seats across the lobby from Juji’s Café which appears up for grabs. Very quiet interior at the time of my visit, though I suppose when Juji’s Café gets busy you lose that silence. Also currently when you check in on Unilocal you get $.50 off your drink. And when you pay by credit card(they use the Square app) you get an email receipt which at the bottom tracks your number of visits. After 10 visits you get $ 1 off your next purchase! Neat!

My colleagues introduced me to the Copper Moon. I’m so glad they did. It’s a smaller coffee shop in the Statler Bldg. Great staff and an AMAZING Hazelnut Mocha coffee. My New Favorite Coffee Shop…

Inside of the Statler Arms, if you’re wondering. Stop wondering and go check this place out. It’s a small little counter with the greatest personalities Cleveland has to offer. I told the gentleman what I liked and prefer an iced beverage and he delivered. I do like that all the drinks are hand-crafted and unique. It was creatively delicious but the whip just didn’t sit well with my palate or intestines. It was nauseating and a bit overwhelming. Haven’t been back since but I’m planning on it to see what new creations they’ve come up with. Prices are very low compared to local competitors. Even with the low prices, quality isn’t compromised at all.

This is the BEST place in downtown to get your to-go coffee, and the conversation never disappoints. Great coffee, great smoothies, and now they also have great, homemade ice cream! Everything is fresh and well crafted. There is no seating in the shop, but there is nearby seating in the lobby of the building. This is not a good place to camp out a do work, but is a good place to get your morning or afternoon brew. Duck into the historic Statler Arms building and say hello to James and his crew!

I’m a sucker for a small, local business. SO of course, James(the barista) won me over with his great customer service, simple menu, and breadth of knowledge when it comes to coffee mixology. A great hidden gem in downtown Cleveland. And I mean it when I say hidden. My friend and I took a minute to find this place inside the Statler Arms building. But now I know, and my coffee palette is better because of it.

I am a coffee lover and Copper Moon is THE place to pick up great coffee. James is the proprietor and he has been a barista for over a decade — he knows just about everything about coffee. It’s kinda like Starbucks, but the coffee is not bitter, the people are nice, and they know what they pour!

Must say copper moon is my favorite of the coffee shops downtown. Both James and Carly make great drinks and are really enjoyable to talk to. It’s always a great time hanging out there while enjoying a delicious drink. Prices are pretty cheap and the give student discounts. I recommend a flavored red eye or a strawberry lemonade crack smoothie

Really awful espresso. Caters to the sweet drink crowd and uses old burnt beans. The barista was very friendly, but we had to throw our lattes away they were so nasty.

I have Unilocaltern, Alex W, to thank for introducing me to the best smoothies in the downtown area. THANKYOU, ALEX. This little café counter in the Statler Arms lobby is not only serving up a great cup of coffee, but their blending up ONLY fresh fruit in their killer smoothies. Choose your fruits and you can even add some of their homemade energy powder, appropriately named«Crack». I passed on it my first go-round, but I’ve heard it’s quite addicting. They also add a hint of nutmeg/cinnamon to these things. It’s delicious! Trust me – it’s not an overwhelming, spicy taste. It’s more like just a tiny hint – enough to make you wonder what’s making this thing taste so damn good. Go. Try. Now.

Oh James, I miss you already! This guy not only brews a great espresso, he quickly became my friend during my 5 week visit. GOHERENOW! The shop: Inside the Statler Arms building in the side hallway. Small shop, pretty much take-out only, but the lobby has seating. The coffee and other stuff: No decaf. Fresh roasted beans. GREAT barista and espresso machine. I highly recommend an espresso con panna as he makes his own panna. My friend even requested a special Mexican coffee, and he made it for her, no problem. He has also developed his own energy drink. I was chicken and didn’t try it. He said it will«send» anyone! Weee! He has some pastry, too. The owner: James, from Italy, grew up as a barista. He is passionate about what he does, friendly to everyone(it’s just his nature), and knows what the hell he’s doing! I don’t even live in CLE, nor didn’t even know James before I stayed here. I urge you to support him for 2 reasons: 1.) His coffee is better, 2.) He is a great small business owner and deserves your $ over the big corporate you-know-whos that don’t clean their machines and brew yucky espresso.

Hidden gem of downtown… in the lobby of Statler Arms building. Besides the excellent coffee, the classic expansive lobby of the building is a great place to cool off(or warm up) when you’re in Downtown.
