Yummy! Love just about everything except for the wait for my order to be taken. Everything is cooked perfect. The cook does an awesome job I must say!

No complaints. First time here, was looking for a little mom and pop shop for breakfast while heading to work. It’s small, maybe 10 tables, real local place. Good prices, good atmosphere.

Functional food, but hey — they’re open 24 hours. What do you want?

DONOTEATHERE!!! Disgusting and dirty. Major fruit fly infestation. Kitchen is ridiculously filthy. Service is bad and they use a lot of canned products. Hot dogs are Sugardale hotdogs that taste like balogna.

This place. Where the heck else can you get a BLT for $ 2.65? How can you beat that? The prices are cheap, the food is good and greasy. Everything you could ever want and get 24h/day when you’re hungover(or still hammered), and you even lost your wallet.

Food: I had the Philly cheese with a side of chili cheese fries. Excellent portion and very good food. No complaints. Atmosphere: Quiet and clean Price: Very good for the portion size Several people came in while I was there and it quickly became evident that they had regulars. The two ladies behind the counter remembered their names and what they usually ordered. Made for a very comfy atmosphere. Came here on a recommendation and I was not disappointed. Will be returning.

We stopped by here for a taste of a local spot in town and a quick bite to eat after a long night. Walking in, we were immediately greeted by great service. The resteraunt was diner style and family like. There were many locals eating and having good conversations. We sat and had great service, the woman who served us knew we were from new York and told us about her last trip to NY, she was nice and recommended what we should have. Our food came out fairly quick and was okay. I had fry chicken and tater tots. The fried chicken was AMAZING they gave me four bug pieces and a side of home fries. The home fries weren’t as great as I hoped so I didn’t eat it my boyfriend had a burger, it was just a basic burger. Their prices were very cheap. Our entire meal was $ 14 including drinks which wasn’t bad. There was a huge parking lot, the place was clean and in a good area. It was nice getting a taste of a local spot.

DAY: Friday TIME: 1pm(ish) For those of you who do not know, «Steve’s Lunch» on Lorain Ave and West 58th burnt to the ground in late March 2015. In this review, that locale cannot help but be mentioned with justifiable mourning. So rating it on the more restaurant-over-divey-hole-in-the-wall(hooray hyphens!) let’s go: I’ve gone to this location a couple times for breakfast items, and those weren’t too bad. The prices are pretty good for the portions. The«big one» for example is 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, hashbrowns, toast for I think $ 8. But it’s just okay. It’s not outstanding. It’s diner quality on the low end of diner scale. The biscuits and gravy is great. The gravy tastes homemade and is very filling. The hashbrows are kind of watery, and the eggs seem rather tasteless. But meh, it’s breakfast. The other food I’ve observed(I mean as a Unilocal reviewer, you check out people’s plates am I right?) looks pretty out-of-the-box-into-the-fryer. But again, you don’t go to a strip mall diner-come-restaurant with high hopes. Sometimes you are pleasantly surprised, but most times not. Now to today’s visit, which sparked the urge to Unilocal review Steve’s Brooklyn. After seeing the listed specials, I asked about the open faced roast beef. Let me say that I call this a «benchmark dish» — if I’ve never been somewhere and am unsure of ordering — a benchmark dish is something virtually unbreakable that should tell me about the quality of the rest of the offerings. Well, as my son pointed out later, my first clue should have been when the waitress asked another woman if they had any of it left. But hey, I’d been up since 4am, so I was a little slow on the uptake. The roast beef was definitely bottom of a pan that had been likely heated in an oven earlier. It was dry and not burnt but in places looked as if it had been scraped off the pan — and not in a yummy, drippins’ sort of way. The potatoes were definitely homemade lumpiness, but again had that overly watery tastelessness. The gravy was also tasteless brown congealed bleh. I ate about 1⁄3 of the dish, and took the rest home for my stray cats. I realize my «benchmark dish» theory is flawed in that while a restaurant may offer say, an open faced roast beef, it might be oh, a pizza place at heart, so that’s kind of an unfair expectation. But if it’s a standard-fare diner, I say the benchmark dish theory stands. Overall, Steve’s is a good place. The wait staff is local and friendly as is Jerome, the cook. He gave me and several other ladies a chocolate rose when I visited on Valentine’s Day. Sometimes the counter staff make me feel rushed, which I don’t care for, but I’m sure if you didn’t rush they wouldn’t care. Food comes out fast, but as we know, that’s not always a good thing. I’d like to see Steve’s Brooklyn bring themselves up as THE Steve’s and improve the quality of their food now that they are the only one and burdened with the bittersweet task of upholding the name. I say go for it: get together and work on the quality. If you never went to the Steve’s on Lorain Avenue, of course you can’t compare. If you’re over in Brooklyn, I’d say give it a try, but don’t expect much more than in-and-out diner fare dressed up as a restaurant. Get yourself a chili dog and raise it to the painting of the former location in tribute.

Steve’s is what you’d expect from a 24 hour diner. I ordered the gyro. It was a little light on meat but decent quality and $ 4.00. The tea is fresh brewed and, contrary to some of the other reviews I read, I found the place cleaner than average.

24-hour dive joint. Great substitute for fast-food chains after a few drinks, or for breakfast. Service is speedy, and polite. Atmosphere: Better than your average dive. Very bright and cheery(buzz-killing…but in a good way, like, I need some food and light to de-drunkify myself). Clean. Feels like you’re eating in someone’s kitchen, not in a basement. As for the food, you get what you pay for. Roughly five bucks for an all-out breakfast accompanied by bacon, sausage, hash browns, eggs and french toast? I’ll take it. Bonus: if you go in there after hours, you can laugh at all the drunks for amusement.

Very nice staff but the restaurant had a dirty feeling, the bathrooms were very dirty. Low quality food but excellent price. We had two adults and four children and the bill was $ 26. The coffee was nothing special. Would not return.

Great 24 hour spot. I love their burgers and fries. Portion sizes are generally pretty small so it’s not infrequent that I get two orders. Plus it’s inexpensive enough to where that’s still cheaper than 1 meal at another restaurant. Great food and service, and the waitresses will remember your name the second time you go.(Especially if it’s the 3rd shifters)

Easy slow going diner. Food is inexpensive and good. Service is good. They keep the coffee filled and it has a nice diner feel.
