Looks cool and the shiny guys who think they’re cool go to this place, as well as some late 30s and early 40s guys who long to be in their 20s. Not a great pick-up bar. The cruise factor is very low. Mostly a stand and model place with expensive drinks, and they didn’t even have Labatt Blue, which almost every other bar in Cleveland has. About the bathhouse angle… it has a separate entrance but the proximity prob scares away most eligible dancers for fear of sullying their reputations. The location, which deserves a mention, is not nice. Its located on a back street among warehouses. Scary looking day laborers, or night laborers, sometimes brawl a few blocks down in the middle of the street. Maybe these guys are homeless, I don’t know for sure. Not an appealing atmosphere. A short walk away is a notorious crack bar, the Magic City. This is not the ideal place to wander late at night. I don’t recommend it. It was opened(I don’t know if he’s still there) by one of Cleveland’s former gay A-listers, dj Jerry Szoka. Mr. Szoka has made many enemies in the ‘community,’ which may explain why the most beautiful and coolest gay boyz avoid this place.

I’m not sure what happened. I was in Cleveland for pride and we decided to go here over bounce. thought for sure it would be packed. Well it was dead, very dead. which is too bad because the music was great. The beers I had were expensive.

It’s going to be somewhat hard to review this place. I was in town for the annual Cleveland Leather Awareness weekend event and ended up volunteering my time working the door taking«donations»(that is to say the cover charge went to charity). The bar had a nice layout though. Big dance floor, nice long bar with moderate priced drinks generously poured. I wasn’t in the main bar area when it was at its busiest, though so I can’t comment on the service. I will say that the bouncer was extremely cool and nice. And they have a coat check which is always appreciated.

Just an FYI they have reduced their hours to only Friday and Saturday evenings. Yikes first sign of a soon to be closed bar anyone? Or it might work. less overhead throughout the week more to spend on Weekends to attract a crowd.

Good music, great drink prices, fun staff, nice atmosphere. Too bad no one else seems to know about this because the places was DEAD on a Friday night. Worth checking out if you don’t mind being one of 10 people in a bar. I really hope the place gets more business since it’s one of the few bars that actually plays decent dance music.
