My friend gave me a $ 100 gift certificate which she PAID Mario’s for at the time of purchase. When I went to redeem it, the woman said it expired. She said that new gift certificates are good for 5 years but mine was only good for 2. As far as I am concerned my friend was ripped off. DONOTPURCHASEGIFTCERTIFICATESFROMMARIOSSPA!

This is a review from a long time ago, years ago, so the receptionist may have been replaced. I had an appointment for a manicure and haircut one day. I came in and they gave me the manicure first, then the hair stylist, who i believe was new, took me back for my haircut. After my shampoo the receptionist came back and told the stylist to hurry up with me because they had a walk in client. She didn’t even pull the stylist aside to keep me from hearing. About 15 minutes later the receptionist came back again to rush the haircut along. Needless to say I did not get a very good cut and had to leave without even getting it dried or styled. It was one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever had in a salon. Granted, I look very young for my age, and this receptionist probably thought she was just pushing around some silly college girl, but the fact is I look young because I spend A LOT of money on my appearance. This is one place I would certainly never consider spending another penny. What wretched customer service.

During a visit to CLE, I had a massage at Mario’s. The folks at the front desk were friendly and attentive. The deep tissue massage by Harry was excellent — definitely in the top 5 best ever(and I get a massage 3 to 4 times/month)! Would highly recommend and will definitely make another appt the next time I’m in CLE.

I had a massage, spa pedicure and facial waxing. The massage, by Sarah, was awesome. I’m pretty picky about massages. She delivered. Unfortunately, a lot of spa/salon massages are by non-certified masseuses — and you can tell. The pedicure was awesome, too. The spa pedicure includes slathering your feet in moisturizer and putting them in plastic baggies for awhile. Definitely helps out at the end of the winter when your feet have been hiding in boots for months. The waxing– sigh — not so good. I’ve tried waxing here before and again I’m disappointed. I think the aethetitician should ask before waxing, what shape do you want for your brows? They just do it and then it’s too late. I won’t do waxing here again(unless it’s unavoidably convenient).
