DONOTHIRETHISHACK! Tom Kiley has caused all kinds of headaches and problems for me since i hired him to install a new roof. It took him forever to start work despite promises. Once work began he was part way done and it rained. I had rain water coming in to my house in every single room. LAKES on the floor everywhere. Despite promises he has still not taken care of repairs from the flood. He also did very shoddy work on the roof. I know this because I had to hire another roofer to come fix all the things that weren’t right and were leaking every time it rained. Kiley also did not finish the roof itself, it still has to be silver coated(flat roof). He refuses to answer multiple attempts to reach him by phone, text and email. So even though the job is paid in full I had to pay another roofer to fix the leaks and do the silver coat. Every aspect of the job was unprofessional and dishonest. An employee bricked my iPad(without permission) when I wasn’t around, the workers never had enough materials to work with, they never showed up when promised, and when things went south Tom refused to complete our contract, stopped communicating despite my staying pretty cool and polite.

Why I will not be recommending Kiley Roofing inc to anyone: Tom Kiley promptly responded to our request for an assessment. He returned our calls quickly and set up the work within days of our meeting. He charged us for the work on our clay tile roof and sunroom roof, but did not indicate how he had determined the total dollar amount for the work. On May 9, he worked through the morning and coordinated with my husband to do a walk through of the work that afternoon. I was at home for the day so by mid afternoon, he told me he was nearly done with the work and requested the remainder of the money since it was starting to rain. He committed to returning that week to finish and offered to throw in free of charge some minor repairs to our garage roof since we were paying him in advance. After paying him, we discovered that the work was not as complete as he had indicated, and the«complete» work was done poorly. Our contractual terms had not been fulfilled. He did not return that week or any week after that. For six weeks, we waited for him to return complete the work. After that time, we sent him an email that included pictures of the work that still needed to be done since he would not come to our house to discuss it. He responded to our requests to return to the house with multiple excuses for the delay including an exaggeration of how long the weather had been bad and his involvement in a more important project. He would frequently schedule for a day to come and then not show up and not reschedule unless we called him and insisted. Instead of offering us professional work, he behaved as though he were some kind of friend doing us a favor. That is when it was clear that we had been robbed. He continued to talk back to us using abusive language and tones when we did contact him. After 10 weeks we are still waiting for him to follow through. We are now working with the Better Business Bureau because he will not return our calls. We have worked with professional contractors for years and we have never had this kind of trouble. We are extremely disappointed in the way that we have been treated by Kiley Roofing and the poor quality of work that was done on our roof. We will never use these services again or refer him to anyone we know.
