Went here with a large group and ordered several pizzas. Pizza was delicious, with a great sauce to toppings ratio. I’m not a fan of a lot of sauce, and this was perfect. The crust isn’t amazing, but I think that it’s thin enough to not matter much, but also thick enough to provide stability to the pizza. Topping suggestion: Pesto sauce, spinach, mushrooms, garlic, and feta. Amazing. Service was okay. The server was nice, but slow, and at one point he forgot to bring out a drink to one of our party. The atmosphere on the other hand is great. Feels like a nice local dive with funky décor and fun music playing. I would definitely go back again, with the expectation of slower service.

EXCELLENT! I ordered a 10 inch with sausage, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers. Nice crisp crust and served fresh out of the oven. Also a side salad which was fresh and the home made dressing was good. Very good service. Thanks George! Oh, of course a cold beer to go with it. Nice frosted mug as well. I’ve been here before and I’ll be back.

We loved the pizza! If you can get past the décor, you will love the thin crust pizza. Cracker crust was perfect, we enjoyed it very much. The price was right too! Garlic knots were also good.

This place has always been awesome with great food and drinks. Their pizza«the stockyard» is out of this world. My huge issue is they are in the process of changing their menu and scrapped all their various chips and dips. Super sad but overall the service is good and the staff are friendly.

It gets a five from me. It is a throwback to my youth, a pizza pie right out of my childhood. I get the Stockyard and a side salad every time I come in and I am never disapointed. EVER local loves it and echoes you excitement when they find out your going. This is a MUSTVISIT if you are in Cleveland, TN

I love the food as well as service here! The pizzas are made fresh with delicious ingredients just like from an organic garden. My favorite now is the baked spaghetti along side with bread sticks as well as garden salad. You can have your pizza pretty much however you want it & have it with a nice cold draft. It definitely feels very homey & nothing like the chain pizza restaurants. I fully support mom & pop restaurants that have daily specials like this one. You need to try this place, as it is a must. I have never been disappointed & will always go back when I can!

This place is totally worth every penny! Environment is warm and welcoming and the beer on draft is fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been here many times and have never had anything close to a bad experience! Would recommend it to everyone looking for authentic Italian and the best pizza in Cleveland TN

Some friends suggested we meet at Gabriel’s last night. I was immediately impressed by the draft beer selection. A very nice mixture of about five or six draft beers. Our friend ordered the whole order of garlic sticks and shared them with the seven of us. I had one and thought it was good. All sixteen of them got eaten up before the pizza arrived so I know some people must have really loved them. Our friends got the 18″ «Really Big Pie» and it must have weighed ten pounds. He loved it and said a few times how good it was. My family got the 18″ pie with green olives. I asked for New York style which the menu said was an option. I guess they didn’t hear me because the pizza we got wasn’t New York style. It was good pizza, just not New York style. I’ve noticed I have that problem when ordering New York style in Tennessee. They never seem to hear me say New York style. I’ve ordered it quite a few times in the eighteen months I’ve lived here and still haven’t gotten it. Anyway, Gabriel’s was a nice find that I look forward to going back to. I’ll be sure to enunciate better next time when I order the NY style pie!

The Barbecue Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger Pizza is the best. All there food is good and made fresh, the prices are reasonable. Others complain about the service but they do a good job, the orders are correct and they will get anything you need. I have had worse service from the big chain restaurants. For a nice cheap night out this place is great.

I visited Gabriels last night. It was the second time in several months that the women’s restroom was nasty. The rest of the place didn’t look very clean either. The so called«Italian» sausage tasted like country sausage. And I asked specifically if it was Italian before I ordered it on my pizza. The server said it was. In addition, the crust on the pizza was over cooked, almost black. Then when my bill was brought, a charge was wrong. I really want to patronize local businesses, but it’s hard to do with this experience.

Food is great. Bread sticks and parm Italian dressing on the salad are recommended. BBQ chicken is my favorite pizza here. Service has always been friendly but slow. Definitely worth visiting.

Took a drive on Saturday and went to Cleveland to Gabriel’s Real Italian Pie. Had a Groupon and decided to see what they had to offer. First thought, couldn’t tell if it was open or not. Parking lot was pretty empty and storefront is very dark. Secondly, the décor. I like the funky look but there was just too much of it. Perhaps tone it down a little. Not every piece needs to be funky and retro. The walls were dark and it just seemed a little gloomy inside to me. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess/waitress and she brought us menus and took our drink orders right away. I asked for Diet Coke, but it tasted a little off, so I switched to water. They seemed to have a good beer selection but I wasn’t in the mood for beer that day. I ordered a garden salad and a small pizza with ham, pineapple, onions and roasted red peppers. The salad came very quickly and I ordered a dressing called G.R.I.P. Dip, which the waitress described as a spicy sweet kind of blue cheese dressing. Right up my alley. It was house made and good. Went well with my salad and as a dip with my pizza. The garden salad had some nice romaine lettuce and thick cucumbers and carrots and tomatoes. I would suggest not serving out of season tomatoes. They were very light in color and kind of mushy. I’d rather not have it. The menu says they try to use local ingredients, then perhaps you should change up your salad to highlight seasonal vegetables. Just a thought. With the salad came some bread… it was warm and yummy and glazed with butter. Could have had more. My pizza arrived and it looked really great. I see where they were going with serving the pizza on a plate rather than a pizza tin, but the plate was sloped and not flat, which made picking up the first piece a little difficult. My favorite pizza is Hawaiian. I love to add different things to the standard Hawaiian, one of which is onions. My complaint is that I don’t want raw onions thrown on there that don’t get cooked or even better, caramelized in the pizza oven. Suggestion, perhaps pre-caramelize onions and then put on pizza. I want that yummy buttery onion taste, not chopped raw onions. Also, the pineapple chunks were really thick and so didn’t get to cook and caramelize they way they should. I liked the sauce ratio. I don’t care for too much sauce on my pizza, and the taste of the crust was perfect. Just crunchy and chewy enough. Very good. My boyfriend had the calzone with sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, and olives. He said it was one of the best calzones he’s had in a long while. It came with a side of sauce that he didn’t touch. I tasted it and it had a nice tomato flavor. I would definitely go back but I would make sure to stress that I want my vegetables cooked. I hope they do well, as I like to support local business. If you take the back way, through Hwy 58 and cross over, from Chattanooga, it’s a great country drive.

They have a really good lunch special here. Almost too good. I can’t eat everything I’d like. The best pizza is the Stockyard. It’s a meat lovers dream. The décor is very old, very dark and could use some updating.

Slow service. Salad was very small. Lettuce tasted like it had not been washed. Waited 15 minutes for two slices of pizza from the full service buffet. Our first an last trip was today!

Best pizza you will find anywhere near cleveland, good selection of beers, awesome bread sticks. Try asking for the GRIP Dip with your bread sticks. Trust me.

Filthy and dingy. The silverware was wrapped in threadbare napkins that my son accurately joked looked like it was a granny’s underwear. We lost our appetite before anyone came to our table. Maybe we missed out on food that would have made us forget the ramshackle environment but I doubt it.

Well look, okay, I’m a Jersey Guy. Even if you won’t admit I know pizza, I’ve been brought up to believe it, so it’s the bias I’ve got coming in the door. So understand, the pizza here is good by Jersey standards. Not great. Not«The Best In The Universe», as displayed on their menus. But good. For Tennessee, it may be spectacular. But it was good. The beer selection was… eclectic. Apparently they stock some good bottles but tap beers are just economical standards. The nuvo-hip PBR is on the menu, but they have Franziskaner Hefe-Weissen. It’s such an easy choice it’s not funny… then they bring out a frozen mug for your weisse and ruin it. Weird. But I liked it. I could see this place being a real sleeper for the area. I’d come here again and maybe try a sandwich or actual dish, stretch the kitchen a little. Worth a trip.
