Your neighborhood brewery! Karl has talent in creating the best brews! Good vibes here! It’s a relaxing atmosphere! I looooove the Ginger Beer! Be sure to take home a Growler! Bring it back for more! This is the place to take your out of town peeps to show off CLEVELAND!

Good beer, nice people, have the look and feeling that your are having beers in your buddy garage. Craft beer by the glass or sample flights. I would go for the flights so you can try all the ones they have available. I was there during the day and the place had a handful of people in it(which is the way I like it), I cannot comment on how the night crowd is. Another great craft beer brewery in the Cleveland.

If you are looking for a low key hang out with good beer, this is the place to go! This is strictly a brewery so bring food in and enjoy the night. They will give tours and welcome you into their process! They are very knowledgeable and very enjoyable to spend time with. Great spot in Cleveland!

I love the casual feel of this space and the beer isn’t bad either! I’ve always felt welcomed and never felt intimidated to ask questions about the beer — something that can be an issue at some breweries. The selection isn’t enormous but they do everything well! My favorite is a beer called Wakatu — a great Belgian style beer. It’s definitely worth a stop on any Cleveland brewery tour!

This place has a really cool vibe and a great selections of local, hand-crafted beers! I love what they have done with the space and the way they have re-purposed many items to finish-out the various surfaces in the joint: * Bar is made from old chalkboards taken from Lakewood High School * Several tables are also from Lakewood High School(their gym’s parkay floor) * Large wooden coils used to transport cable for the nearby bridge make up other tables * Old wine and whiskey barrels are used to help ferment certain beer varieties * Backyard area will become a beer garden where they will project movies and videos on the wall * Cool views of the fly-over bridge from the backyard * Great views of the drawbridge out front with an open-air patio and storefront * Hip seating area in the back of the shop for a large group to congregate and have«private» space They also allow in outside food(if you wish) and there are a few eateries close by if you want to bring in. What a great place to chill and have a few interesting brews. I’m in!!!

I try to hit this place up when it opens in the afternoons. I have been here at night and its a tad too crowded for my ass. Karl is a great brewer and a nice dude. Beers are fresh but a little more variety would be rad. Great place to stop off and get primed before going full tilt and acting a fool, wherever the wind takes me… OH! and the afternoon bartender dude knows his shit. Iron Maiden is whats up. ;)

Beer was good but not a large selection. Seemed like hanging out in someone’s cool garage. We did some day drinking so I don’t know what the night vibe is.

Support local brewers. Very cool spot with small selection of in-house beers. I was told they had more but ran out due to popularity. Good for them. If you like craft breweries, they have flavorful choices. No food but you can order in or bring your own.

What a great addition to the Cleveland beer scene! We went on a perfect Friday afternoon. It’s down in the Cleveland flats which is full of winding roads, so a little tricky to find but worth the effort. Once there you can sit out on their great patio which is pet friendly, and enjoy the working lift bridge down the street. They don’t serve food, but there is a pizza place next door that I am told does a decent pie. I tried the cask conditioned scotch ale which was very nice. The Angry Chief IPA was excellent! I was a little disappointed that they were out of t shirts, but I’ll be back before we head west, and hopefully they will be restocked. Good job Brick&Barrel.

Real chill bar, great if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown our west 25th on a weekend. It’s cozy and small, and the bartenders are friendly and informative. Get the flight to try all their beers, and then stick with the delish ambitious blonde. The décor and the look could use a little fleshing out, but it’s cool they have Sainato’s right down the road that you can bring in, that is my pizza joint!

We came here the Saturday after they first opened and they were already producing great beer. To do that right out of the door is nothing short of a miracle. Great atmosphere, friendly owner(and owner’s dad, who was tending bar), fun chalkboard bar, and exceptional beer. I expect great things from this place!

If you’re a wanker who actually enjoys Bud and Miller Lite, please don’t come here. This place is making interesting small-batch beer in a really nifty setting. My better half and I did two flights and tried everything on hand. Our two favorites were the Ambitious Blonde, a nice easy-drinking session beer, and the IPA, which featured some citrusy notes and was not overly hopped. The smoked beer was a little heavy-handed for my taste, and the Chenin Blonde a bit on the sweet side, but I love what they’re doing here. Service was prompt and friendly. As bonus features, you get a pinball machine and a multi-game arcade machine to pass the time.

Brick and Barrel and Platform Brew are two of my favorite new businesses in Cleveland from the year 2014. Brick and Barrel had a nice first run with their beer. I sampled a flight for $ 5 and all tasted right. The IPA was well balanced with a nice malt back. I do prefer hit you over the head hops. Maybe they will venture down that path at a later date. The hop is a cousin to the pot and it triggers a cool response in my brain similar to Dark Side of the Moon college days. The staff was warm and welcoming on a blustery winter night. Nicole was a sweetheart. They set out a bunch of nuts with wasabi peas that I could not put down. For any potential readers of this review, please do not dip your grubby mits in the mix. Instead, gently fill up a handful by tipping the container. Germs are running rampant. Almost everybody I love has been sick this winter. I will now quote Prodigy from Mobb Deep on «Circle Don’t Stop»: Then after the show we show love to the fans. Pictures with the b******. The fist, not the hand. ‘Cause we don’t shake hands. There’s a whole lot of germs. This two thousand ten. Now it is twenty fourteen and the germs are spreading as Prodigy predicted. Please keep your hands to yourself. If you see PW in the street, fist bump is how we greet.

This is the first brewery of this kind in Cleveland — the kind that feels like a cool converted garage. It does in fact have a big garage door just waiting for spring time. It’s got Christmas lights strung from the rafters, a pinball machine, a wide open brewery space, painted cinder block walls, and local art for sale on the walls. Beers are all $ 5, as are 4-sample flights. All beers are clean and clearly well made. The IPA is very fresh and slightly fuller bodied than most. What really set their beers apart are those blended with wine. The Brewer told me they will have many more after the next grape harvest. It’s crowded on opening night even with the nearby bridge out. Cheers for Brick and Barrel’s cozy industrial feel and well made beer — I’ll certainly be back for more.
