Just flew in from San Francisco(honestly) and needed to purchase a product that could not be brought with me on the airplane. It was Labor Day. I called this place several days prior to see if they would be open, they were and they had the item I needed. They clerk was friendly, helpful and the fact that they were open and had what I wanted made my trip successful and enjoyable.

Oh Body Language. I’ve been coming to this store since I was in high school. It holds a very dear place in my heart but boy could it use a ticket to the 21st century. What was once a really cool place for gay books, magazines and, yes, porn and toys, is now a dingy porn store and not much else. Lots of titles, sure. A big — and I mean big — selection of toys and other accoutrements. But the place just feels so creepy and sad to me now. The interior is stale and ugly. The décor hasn’t changed since the late 80. s And the fact that it’s hidden behind frosted glass, with only a small sign out front just screams old-school shame. I don’t know how to fix this. Redo the interior for a start. Maybe move it to a more visible place with windows and a sign that says«We’re proud to be gay.» I just don’t know. But one thing I do know: the Customer of the Month MUST stay.
