Berman Moving and Storage

Berman is top notch! They came out and packed and transported my belongings from a two bedroom apartment several states away to Cleveland three years ago and were extremely prompt and professional. They were very careful with the packing and transport and set out for Cleveland right after packing with no delay in transport to group shipments, as I’ve seen with previous moves.
I just had to do a local move recently and got quotes from them and another company. Berman was slightly pricier, but they remembered me and were able to pull my file. They were able to accommodate a relatively short notice (less than 2 week’s notice) move, sent a contract by email, and again were professional and efficient in moving my pre-​packed belongings on moving day. They even laid down mats and cardboard to protect the wood floors of the new residence. By contrast, the cheaper company required several calls from me to get an estimate, never called me or sent a contract, and didn’t bother assessing what I had to give me a reasonable estimate. I felt very anxious that I had no guarantee they would show up on moving day, so I went with Berman and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

I couldn’t be more disappointed in my move out of state. I used them before to move locally and they were terrific so I thought they would be the best for my move out of state. Well that was not true. The movers were totally unconcerned with bringing my items into my home, dumping boxes wherever they could. Moved furniture without the quilted protective covers so that I have gouges out of some solid wood bookcases because they were in a hurry. I never received several boxes of my items, someone else did. Boxes of cookware, tools and even a wardrobe box went to someone else.
That’s a large box to mistake. They offered me a measly $ 230 restitution but wait, I could arbitrate and that would cost me $ 300. Sick joke.
