This place is connected with Cadillac Ranch which is more of a casual restaurant/​bar place with a mechanical bull. BarRoom is more of a club scene with the huge dance floor. There are two bars on the dance floor, one when you walk in and one in the back so it’s convenient. The bartenders are nice and drinks are okay. Last time I was here, there were some many incompetent ones and I think my last visit has gotten a little better. They actually hired someone that knows how to make drinks!
I visited this place several times before when nights were busier. My most recent visit was on a Friday night which I found kind of surprising that it wasn’t busy at all. The music was okay. The DJ played your TOP 40 hits, some old school, so it had a nice vibe. The crowd for the night wasn’t your typical 20 year-​olds but actually a much older crowd. To that, the crowd had a mix of older people who actually were dancing like the younger people which was hard to look at. I was kind of disgusted and left the place.

Oh my god is this place bad. I went with a couple girlfriends on a Saturday night and the place was sooooooo dead. They had some random local rap group playing, no one was dancing, just kind of standing around looking at each other. Drinks were watered down and expensive. It was so disappointing. We ended up going to Lakewood and finding a real party. They should just shut this place down and start from the ground up.

This is pretty much the best Cleveland has to offer in terms of clubs at the moment. Sums up the city’s ability to entertain nicely.
PROS: Watching women fall off the bull is fun… some of the time. Mostly you’ll be watching a 40+ year old manatee thrash around on the ground while chunks of anatomy flop out much to the disgust of all whilst her friends cackle with delight from the sidelines.
CONS: Incompetent bartenders, horrendously bad DJs who play the worst of the worst music out right now and remix it so it’s even worse than the crap you heard on the radio, unattractive women, dirty and constantly crowded surroundings… well you get the point it’s just plain bad all around. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.
I’d only go back if I got wasted beforehand.

Disgusting and low class! What a waste of a beautiful space and location. If you are 21 and want to get drunk to the point of belligerence
then this is your place. This place would be great if the clientele wasn’t so bad. It’s a mix of hood rat kids and white trash. This place is just annoying.

The drinks… were not good at all… but the music was good. It’s kinda strange– one minute, you’re in a bar with a mechanical bull, the next– you’re in a dance floor… that’s rather empty for a Saturday night. The crowd’s alright– could still be more exciting though, I guess? If it weren’t for friends around… I think I might have been bored. haha. But nonetheless, this place is an alright place to go for dancing… just…not for drinks. Bleh. I have mixed feelings about this place…

HELP! NO!!!
I’ve been once, and two different girls asked me «what are you looking at.» I was not trying to start anything, but may have been looking at the fact that they were covered with the least amount of fabric that I’ve ever see a person attempt to dress with!
Not my cup of tea.

I’ve been to BarRoom twice, and while I didn’t have an outstanding experience either time, both nights were still fun.
My biggest gripe is that KISS is there on Saturday nights, and I hate when radio stations take over bars. I don’t want to hear some corney DJ making comments every 5 minutes when I want to dance. Even worse is that he walks around the dance floor and lets overly drunk girls yell into the microphone to get onto the air.
The dance floor is spacious, which is a great plus. You don’t have to awkwardly struggle to move away from that creepy couple that’s practically having sex on the dance floor. You have some semblance of personal space.
The music itself is hit or miss. Sometimes they play 5 really great songs in a row, and then you stand around for 20 minutes while they play music that can’t be danced to. Perfect opportunity for a drink refill, though.
Drink prices aren’t too outlandish for this type of establishment, and they are pretty strong. Despite being busy, the bartenders are usually quite attentive and friendly.

Came here after a Cavs game… it’s not bad. Not as packed as some other downtown bars/​clubs, and the dance floor in the back is great. The drinks at the bar back there are cheaper than at the one by the front door :)

Bar Room can be great, or it can be a complete miss. To be honest with you I haven’t been there on a Friday in over atleast 6 months, because the summer time was all about West Sixth bar hopping. but now that it’s cold Bar Room is where it’s at.
The best thing about this club is the HUGE dance floor. You can find a spot to dance without too much of an annoyance, and they have ample seating if you wanna take a break, unlike at any of the West Sixth bars.
VIP can be very fun at Bar Room, the girls are great in this area, seating is pretty comfortable and prices are reasonable considering… Do it once and they welcome you back with special prices and actually remember who you are.

Somehow I got on the list to get in free here the opening night. I am not sure if it normally requires a cover, but it did that night. I would be completely annoyed to hear that it still requires a cover. At this point, with the population and economy the way it is in Cleveland, bars should just be happy anyone wants to come at all. Anyways, I suppose if you want to see a bunch of hambones and hooknasties in too tight of clothing that people were wearing on the coasts 2 – 3 years ago, this is the place for you. If you don’t want to have a seizure from flashing lights or pick up the H1N1 or other viruses* from gooey railings, then it isn’t worth your time.

So what do I really know about dance clubs? Well, not much I have to admit, since the last time I went clubbing was in undergrad. We went here in celebration of a friend’s birthday, and if you’re in the mood for dancing to top 40 music, here is a good choice. On Saturday night they have Kiss 96.5 DJs play music here. At the bar, service is pretty typical for a club-​kind of slow. I had a Jack and Coke which was pretty light on the Jack unfortunately. There’s lots of room for dancing, and upstairs is a special VIP lounge room that is available for rental.
