I wanted to start off with saying I have no other complaints about my wedding EXCEPT Audio Extreme and the DJ. –DJISSUES: Dwayne(the owner) first set me up with a DJ who never calls or wrote me back and canceled out first meeting. I should have taken that as a warning sign but I gave Dwayne and his company the benefit of the doubt. We were assured my Dwayne that he closely monitors his DJ and would be there if we needed anything at all. DJ Scooby(Andrew Spice) is who we ended up with and was more focused on taking photos of my guests to sell on his website than actually DJing. My husband is a musician and wanted to pick all the music that would be played. We knew this wouldn’t be as fun for the DJ and apologized but Dwayne and the DJ assured we only songs off our 500±song list would be played. He played songs off the list and gave me attitude at my wedding when I asked him about it. We also specified no games at the wedding and he made us play a game anyway without giving us any knowledge that was going to happen. EQUITMENTISSUES: We didn’t want anything fancy, so I went with the basic package. Audio extremes was recommended to us by the venue we were having our wedding at so I assumed that they would know the proper speakers and equipment needed to fill the space efficiently-that is why we choose to go with them. At the dinner no one could hear anything the DJ was saying because the DJ was clear on the other side of the space and didn’t place any speakers where the people actually were. Everyone missed us cutting the cake(including my parents) because the DJ didn’t announce it so that people were able to hear and with there being no speakers in the area where people were, no one knew it was going on. THEAFTERMATH: My mom felt really bad that it didn’t go as planned and called to complain. Dwayne refused to talk to her and pushed his assistant on her instead. This is the part that made me write this review… DWAYNE(speaking via his assistant mind you) BLAIMEDEVERYTHINGONMYHUSBANDANDMESAYINGANYPROBLEMATOURWEDDINGWASBECAUSEWECHOSEALLTHEMUSICAND I WANTEDTHEBASICPACKAGE. This made me more upset than anything. We are paying to have someone play music; we should be able to pick it if we want. The real problem was with Audio Extreemes not advising us on the correct equipment needed for the venue and caring more about their own egos and business than the event they were working. I’m a very ethical person and never write reviews but wanted people to know this so no one else goes through the same thing we did. Thanks for listening! **************************************************************************************** INRESPONSETOAUDIOEXTREEMESRESPONSE: 7÷24÷2012 To be completely honest it all comes down to a lack of communication audio extremes had with us regarding the wedding. I trusted him or her to be honest with what we needed/didn’t need and they provided no input or opinion. MUSIC I was NOT told that choosing my music would be an issue at all. Dwayne and Andrew said, «Whatever you want!» So if it was an issue with them they should have let us know we had no complaints with the crowd and how much they danced so I am not sure why Audio Extremes brought that up in the response… I guess I didn’t have a right to pick the music being played at my own wedding according to them! Seems to me like their egos are getting in the way of making their costumers happy. EQUIPMENT I was never told in any email or meeting that I would need an upgraded sound system to get the sound projected. NEVER. I was never even told what package people usually get while renting Crystal Brooke Farms. I didn’t want anything fancy, so I didn’t get anything fancy. If the company HADTOLDMETHATWITHTHISSOUNDSYSTEMTHEBRIDALPARTYTABLEWOULDNOTBEABLETOHEARTHEDJ, then I would have certainly gone with a better package. That is what my mom was talking about. We are completely on the same page. Once again, really terrible communication from Dwayne and Audio Extremes. INTERACTION I don’t know what Drew was struggling with but it must have been his own issue with his performance. He also announced the bridal party coming in incorrectly to show you what a terrible job he did. We did not refuse to play the game at all so that is an upright lie but we were surprise considering we said WEWANTEDABSOLUTELYNOGAMES. Another huge communication error on Audio extreemes part. To be honest again, I didn’t put a lot responsibilty in Audio extreemes hands because many of the suggestions of games/music that they had made were extreemly trashy and lacked class in our opinion. We really did want someone just to announce the activities for the evening and play the music that we wanted and that was it. I hired Audio Extremes to DJ my husband’s 80’s themed birthday party(at the recommendation of a friend who used them for her wedding) and they did an absolutely amazing job! Scott the DJ was awesome as was his assistant/photographer! Super friendly and personable and made the party super laid back and fun! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Dwayne, the owner, was super helpful and responsive to all of my questions. Definitely will use them again and would recommend them!
