Advance Auto Parts

2 years ago this month, I bought a car battery from them. I bought one that should last about 3 years. Of course it goes bad this month. I had it tested 3 times, every time I was told it was bad. I couldn’t find my receipt (which is really odd because I save everything important. I have car receipts from 2008 haha) So I go to this location which is close to my house. I explain my problem, and I give him my name and number for my warranty. Can’t find me… then he explains I have to go to the one bought it from. Their computers don’t link up. That is stupid. So if I move out of state and need a new battery, I am screwed. Hahaha. I know it is a little my fault because I lost the receipt but that’s why you took down my information. The clerk didn’t seem concerned about helping me, which totally bums me out. My boyfriend and look at their battery selection… haha. Looks cheap and they aren’t the best batteries. I am not a car expert but my dude is. While looking at a few things I need, no one comes up to see if we needed help which is surprising because they are slow and have only 1 customer in the store. I will go to Auto Zone where I am always helped and they have a better selection of products.

So, I end up with a cracked battery terminal decided to go to advanced auto parts. I asked the gentleman working if you can help me, he says,” no sorry we don’t help outside of the store.”
As I’m outside in the freezing cold after giving the store my money, hard earned money I see this guy walking out to help another customer on his car. Wow!
I would highly recommend never going to this place that you want to be treated horribly.

There’s workers everywhere asking you if you need help upon walking in. If you don’t get it at the door, just go to the counter, they will help you immediately and professionally. The selection they have there is greater than most of the other auto parts stores I have been to and that is a lot. If they don’t have something, They’ll get it. Their prices are fairly high on some parts but you get what you pay for. You can pay for cheap parts but you’ll be back for sure. I got the best help from the store manager Mike «MJ» Jones. He is the nicest, most understanding person you’ll come across in the parts business. If you have a real problem and you want to talk to a manager ask for him, He’ll take care of you, He took VERY GOOD CARE OF MY SITUATION. I appreciate everything he did and he saved me a bundle of money in the process. Some of the «older» guys are annoying so try to stick with the younger guys. I can’t say enough about the management and the crew. I have bought so many parts and tools from them because they sell top of the line products like Moog and Wagner. From lubes to tools and some clearance here and there you can’t go wrong. They offer great advice and have certain free testing services for your vehicle as well. I am a Advance Auto Fan!
