Do not use this company even if it seems cheaper than others. There are many reasons why. We found out stuff was missing after unpacking, called them and were told those items were never loaded on the truck. BS. They were stolen by one of the workers. They also damaged some of our belonging and took 2 hours more to move than it should’ve taken. We just moved 2 years ago, have the same amount of belongings and it took 2 and a half hours last time– nothing missing or broken. So they dragged out the time for more money. Idiots. And they were not that nice either. Pretty rude and they were 20 minutes late. The good reviews about them are probably from their friends and family.

Please don’t ever hire anyone from this company. They are dishonest people. I moved about 100 yards away from my old apartment. It took twice as long as they said it would, plus some items would not fit up the stairs. For those items, I asked that they be shrink wrapped well and put in the garage since they would have to withstand winter. They were terribly wrapped and I was also billed for extra time because the movers didn’t have the shrink wrap on them, they had to go get it. There were gaps and openings where you could touch the upholstery. Moreover, they did damage to my ceiling, told me they’d send someone out to look at it, bailed on me, had me reschedule, and when they bailed again I called and they said that they had spoken to the movers and the movers denied any wrongdoing and since they refunded half my money they felt like they took care of the issue to the best of their ability. Well of course they denied it, but the bigger issue is that I took off work twice and both times nobody showed up. And my ceiling has damage at eye level because it’s sloped. They’re total assholes, I would strongly recommend people to steer clear!

My furniture almost did not arrive to its destination(from Cleveland to the West Coast), and the majority of it arrived damaged to varying degrees. On our move-out day, A to Z arrived with the wrong sized truck. They proceeded to load everything onto it, then told us after it was almost full that we would need an additional truck to make the move(for around 7K – almost double the quoted price). We were also told that the correct sized truck would NOT fit all of our items anyway so this was the only way to get our things to Washington State. The owner of the company, had made all the arrangements with my husband previously, and was unreachable for a great majority of this ordeal. After she was finally able to be reached, the correct truck was brought in the next day and our items miraculously managed to fit within its confines, despite the warning that they would not(we were then able to avoid the obscene associated costs that we were being pressured into). Once we arrived at our new home, much of our furniture had been damaged and soiled. It took us the first few days to inventory all of the damage, which affected thousands of dollars of furniture. We only decided to report the most damaged/newest pieces thinking we could fix a few of the older pieces on our own. Among the items we did submit were our 3-month-old baby’s crib, chest of drawers and bookshelf, which were all purchased less than 6 months earlier. Her mattress was deeply soiled by what their lead guy referred to as «motor oil,» this was especially alarming as they were supposed to wrap the mattress in a protective covering and did not tell us before leaving what they had soiled her mattress with. When we did reach out to A to Z, we provided photos and asked how they wanted to proceed. They requested that we send receipts because they adhered to Ohio Depreciation Law, which we also did promptly. Days later, the claims investigator, told us she saw no reason to replace the furniture, she also alluded to our furniture being«too expensive to replace.» I called to get a better understanding of what was going on, and to see if they would meet us half way. She said her guys only admitted to damaging our custom made rocking chair, ottoman, and crib mattress(this is when I learned of the motor oil). She requested that we have a repair person come out to write a report/give us a quote so that we could submit it to her/A to Z. To receive the quote, it cost us another $ 250, plus the repairs themselves cost upwards of $ 2,500. Before we even had a chance to share this last bit of information with A to Z, they rescinded their earlier offer to meet us half way, and then claimed we did not have insurance on our items(a service that was not offered to us at the time of contract), therefore, they would pay us $.60 per pound. To add insult to injury, they also proceeded to attack our character and integrity. They also did some of our packing for us, which I originally praised them for, mostly because they did not take any smoke breaks and seemed like nice guys who were focused on their work. However, with each box I open, I find more items either damaged, broken or simply tossed into a box with no wrapping. For example, our Cuisinart stand mixer, is missing bits of enamel from the outside of the appliance because it was not wrapped and our microwave now has a dent inside because the glass piece was not wrapped/removed from the microwave prior to being packed into the truck. If you want your furniture and personal belongings to arrive in the same condition that you left them in, then do no use A to Z moving.

Arrived on time and ready to go. Very fast load/unload. Took very good care of my stuff — better care than I would have. Very professional. They asked questions when they were not sure how/where I wanted stuff. Everything made it to my new house in its original condition. Able to move very heavy things with ease. I enjoyed having conversations with the guys. MONEYWELLSPENT!

I booked Alex and Derrick through Amber at A to Z Moving and everything went according to plan. They were on time, professional and packed our U-Haul truck perfectly. You couldn’t ask for a better experience from a moving company!

Alex and Derrick were our labor helpers and they did all the loading for 3 rooms(45 boxes, 7 pieces of furniture) in UNDER an hour. strapped in the load with our straps without being asked and even took an 8th piece of furniture to the curb for us. I give my 5 star rating without a single reservation. and if you know my reviews, I’m stingy with my stars and express the bad side of experiences without hesitation. This loading job was as smooth as it gets!

These guys did great. We moved from Cleveland, Ohio to St. Joe, Arkansas this week and were so professional and courteous. Recommend them highly for local and long distance moves. Saved us money and the hassle of loading, driving and unloading.

I would NEVER have this company move anything for me!!! The movers were very friendly and courteous however, when you want things loaded and/or unloaded you would rather have movers that know how to pack a truck. I had asked more then 5 times please do not leave my furniture behind prior to the movers putting anything in the truck and after 5 hours my couch and chairs were left behind!!! I now have to hire another truck to get the items from Cleveland to Denver Colorado. Which is going to cost me another $ 800 plus time off work. I then called them 4 times to obtain a receipt and they never called me back. I personally talked to the owner myself on two occasions requesting a receipt and a resolution and they never called me back or provided me a receipt. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

DONOTHIRE A to Z Moving & Driving! 1) The movers showed up two hours late(they did call). 2) The movers did a horrible job of packing our storage pods. They did not use all of the available furniture pads and protective gear, so our furniture was damaged in transit(and when we were watching them toss our things into the pods). They did not stack boxes and furniture well, so there was a lot of wasted space in the pods. We had to rent a U-Haul to move the rest of our stuff ourselves, because they did such a crappy job. 3) It took one of the movers 30 minutes to pack our TV in the special TV box, and his buddies sat around waiting for him to finish instead of bringing the rest of our furniture down stairs. 4) They took 45 minutes over their alloted time to finish packing the pods(maybe because of the TV box). 5) They left a bunch of stuff at our house and we had to call them to come back and pick it up. They were incredibly rude when they came back. 6) When we complained about the damage, the wasted time and the wasted space, we were promised repayment… and were never repaid. This is the absolute worst moving company I have used, and I have been moved by professional movers 8 times in my life. I would never use them again and would tell anyone considering whether to use A to Z to stay as far away from the company as possible.

I called them on my way from Cincinnati to make sure they would be there at 6PM as they wanted to schedule my unloading job for, and was told everything was supposed to be on time. 6PM came and no one showed up. Called them and was told they were running behind. Movers finally showed up 45 minutes late because the company did not notify the team they had one more job. Came from where they live and had no dollies, no tools. The movers worked hard but it was apparent that they were tired from their previous 5 unload jobs. I would give the two movers a 4 star rating(–1 for lack of tools) but absolute 0 for the company for the lack of communication despite confirmation over the phone. Company was apologetic and told me they would call back to see if they could give me compensation for payment for the job, but they never followed up with it. Very disappointed and DEFINITELY will hire someone else next time.
